James the other day.
I brought a six pack of Brats, an onion and a bell pepper.
I like onion and bell pepper with my Brats.
Lots of onion and bell pepper, "not a lil bit, a lot lol".
That phrase seems familiar for some reason lol.
So I get with James and he gets me all hooked up in the kitchen and I start chopping away.
Got a sauce pan about 2/3 the way filled up with onion pepper mixture, Guy walks by (Kindred's On site HP rep).
"You think you got enough there?"
"Do you know what that is going to cook down to?"
As soon as I asked him I thought: "Well, obviously you don't or you wouldn't have asked."
"I got six Brats, how much onion and pepper do you think I should I have brought?"
He just looked at me smiled and walked away.
Christian said he would have asked him: "Are you the one behind this cutting board with a knife?"
Anyway, I just thought: "Well he doesn't cook much."
Needed butter, James hooks me up...sort of...lol.
Smallest container of Country Crock I have ever seen lol.
Okay, make do here, don't use all of James butter lol.
Put in two heaping tablespoons.
No where near enough.
Whatever, make do somehow, moving on.
Take the sauce pan to the grill and get the side burner lit to start cooking down veggies.
Plan B is to add water if we have to but for now lets get this butter melted and see where we stand.
Few minutes later Carlos, James roommate walks by with a case of beer.
"Hey Carlos, let me have a beer"
(I have three beers for me, that's going to be my limit, three hours, three beers, eat, head home, should be in good shape. One beer for while I am cooking, one for while I am eating and one for afterwards...always, repeat, always a method to the madness, promise :-).
Anyway, Carlos says "They're warm."
"I don't care."
"Okay sure, get ya one."
I pop the top and pour it into the onion pepper mixture I got going on.
Now Kenny walks by, "You're gonna put beer in there?"
I just laugh, "Well yeah..."
Inside I was like; "Do these fuckers never cook? WTH?"
Adam was smart, he waited till everything was done.
He had already ate.
He didn't care.
He knew what was up.
He went and got a slotted spoon for me.
"This is good Andrew."
"Thanks, thought it would be."
I had my Brats with tons of flavorful onions and peppers and mustard and I didn't use all of James butter either.
Helping James clean up I told him he could drain what was left and use it the next day if he wanted.
Him and Carlos did just that.
Used it on Hot dogs I believe.
Yesterday Carlos was like; "Dude, those veggies were great on those dogs we had last night."
Of course they were.
Why wouldn't they be?
Gotta switch, Tony be here soon.
Love you.
