Talking to my step mom today and she was talking about how she doesn't recieve any cost of living increases with her teachers pension. I said "Janet, it's why I want to get the house and the bike paid off, put in some solar panels and grow a garden, fish, and learn how to hunt." She just laughed."I said really? You think thats funny the way things are going in the world today? Think about it, what bills would there be? Gas for the home and vehicles, Insurance on the house and vehicles, cell phone, Internet, you know I don't like TV, some clothes. I mean whats left?" "Well I don't know." She always says that lol. I said "Well I do and it just makes sense to me, screw this materilaistic consumerism culture we live in, I don't need it."
We could grow our own medicine as well lol, even get some chickens if we want :-).
I've always felt like this Lucy.
Time to make it happen sweetheart.
