loved this song.
Saw him do it live.
Cried the day he died :-(.
Turned me and a whole generation of white kids from the suburbs on to the blues.
He almost always let his guitar do his talking for him.
He started closing his shows with this.
Always gave a lil speech in the middle.
I listened to a version of this the other day before I left to come up here.
This came through my FB feed today.
I thought yeah, I'll listen to that again.
The fact that this is from Volunteer Jam in Starwood Amphitheater (closed now) outside Nashville made it even more relevant.
Saw some shows there.
Speech at 4:42 hit me pretty hard.
Not that it was about drugs, just that we gotta take care of ourselves first.
If some people wanna interpret that as slighting them in some way?
Thats on them.
Almost like somebody wanted me to hear it Lucy.
Like, here ya go, don't worry, you're on the right path.
I hope you were amazing today.
How could you not be?
You're you, and I'm always gonna love ya for it.
