Yesterday

was a really good day.
Cook breakfast.
Take Nich to school.
Made coffee.
Porch.
Fill bird feeders with whats left of the wild bird seed.
Facebook.
News etc.
Cover letter and resume brushed up for position here locally I told you about.
That took a minute.
I'm a lil particular about that.
Bout three hours or so workin on it.

Called about getting oil change in bike.
Josh (Owner performance cycle) dad had a stroke.
Had to go take care of things in Mass. where he is from.
Bad deal all around.
For his dad.
And for him and Cheryl.
Peak time for them.
Everybody wants everything done right now.
Peak season few months away.
Feel sorry for Josh.
That's a lot to deal with.
Anyway, Cheryl knows how I am and she didn't even offer to have his assistant do it.
"He will be back on the 14th, can it wait till then?"
Well sure :-).

Went to bank to put money in I got back from returning the solar lights.
Took the back way :-).
Why shouldn't going to the bank be fun :-)?

Got back, mowed grass.

Got charcoal goin for dogs on the porch with Alan comin for lunch.
Listened to the war on drugs record.
he like it.
Said it reminded him of Dire Straits in the Love over Gold period.
I agree.
Ruffles.
Baked beans.
Cooked beans on my lil camper grill before dogs.
Alan was a amazed at how fast the beans got heated up ;-).
I wasn't really that surprised :-).
Thought they would.
And if they didn't?
Whats the big deal?
Just pull them off and put them on the stove.
Anyway, we thought we were eating like kings.
He left.

More mowing.
Get Nich.
He wants to go to Granny's.
Okay.
I'm still full.
Come home.
More mowing and piddling around.
5:45.
If I leave right now I can go to Mano point, (boat put in on the Ohio, think tree) and be back before dark.
30 miles.
45 minutes.
Maybe lol.
Depends lol.
Stopped to get gas on the way.

Never been here before.
Always stopped at the Ole Country Store in Sulphur to see Donnie.
Lady was nice.
Not much farther now.

Yea!
Home.
Seems like.
Stopping here early in the AM when Nich didn't have school in the summer and I wasn't rushed to get back home?
Heaven.

Psalm 1:3
Came to mind.

"That person is like a tree planted by streams of water,
which yields its fruit in season
and whose leaf does not wither—
whatever they do prospers."

Communed with the big guy.
Time to head home.

Stop by Lafayette Springs on the way back.
Been here before once.
He was on a boat that sank here.
Yes, that Lafayette.
He was old and fat and couldn't swim so they took him to shore in a lil john boat.
They camped here.
People came from all over to see him.
There was an older article a while back in our lil hometown newspaper about it.
Seems like in the 60's there was a flood or a storm and somehow part of the ship he was on ended up on a sandbar.
Pretty cool.

Almost home.
Then this.

Comin across the bridge.

Then porch and music.
Then bed.

Then today.
School breakfast blah blah blah.
Home.
Chill.
Was gonna mow.
Decided to finish it off when I got home.
Did laundry.
Actually used the clothesline.
Felt good about that.
Went to Oboro.
Was gonna file for unemployment.
Office had moved.
Didn't know.

So now I am going back tomorrow AM.
I could do it online but it's clunky and it times out and I just don't like it.
Filing for biweekly benefits is okay, but the initial claim?
Nah, go see somebody.
Earbuds and youtube here we come.
Good excuse to ride.

Come home.
Finished yard.
We need milk.
Go to the store.
"Knocked the dust off of"
The Buick and the bike.
Not the full blown wash and wax.
Just cleaning them up a lil.
More in maintain mode than clean up mode at this point.

Nich helped with the Buick and did a real nice job.
I'm used to going full throttle all the time.
Need to learn to break things down into smaller more manageable task for him.
It seemed like he was more accepting of instruction that way.
Cause usually I'm like "Well we gotta ...and then we gotta...and then...and then..."
Cause that how my mind goes.
By the first "and then" he's gone lol.
Gotta remember that.

Anyway.
It only happens a few times a year, but the house is clean, laundry is done, all three vehicles are cleaned, including  being waxed, yard is mowed, bills are paid, etc.
Only real chore left is getting the solar lights down the sidewalk squared away and picking up and dropping off another mower.
More on that at another time lol.
Always something.

Anyway I got all weekend to do that.
Oh and tomorrow in the evening I get to knock down a wasp nest!
Lucky me lol.

So thats whats been going on for two days around here Moonbabay.
Wats shakin with you Dollbaby?
Hummmm?

Love you.

Night.
