Timothy 6:6-10

6 But godliness with contentment is great gain. 

7 For we brought nothing into the world, and we can take nothing out of it. 

8 But if we have food and clothing, we will be content with that. 

9 Those who want to get rich fall into temptation and a trap and into many foolish and harmful desires that plunge people into ruin and destruction. 

10 For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some people, eager for money, have wandered from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs.

People get this all kinds of wrong.

Money is not the root of all evil.

The love of money is.

Big difference.

Great wealth. Can you imagine what it would feel like? Taste like? Sound like? Ponder what it would look like if you could experience it for just one day. How about this?

-No desire to buy anything.

-No panic to achieve anything.

-No worry to stop anything.

-No pressure to start anything.

-No envy of other people.

-No comparing with other people.

-No anger at other people. 

-No hunger for money.

-No worry about money. 

-No longing for more of anything.

-Except more of GOD

Just contentment with GOD . And with His delight in His world--and your part in it. And with His promises for you. About His love for you. About an awareness that He sees you and is caring for you. In His wonderful time. In His wonderful way.

Your wealthy and contented day, therefore, would be a quiet day. Walking with GOD. Resting in His power as He opened some doors and closed others. Stilled some waters and stirred others around. Sowed some seeds and harvested others. Lit some fires and put others out. Quieted some storms and shook others up. Opened some hearts and mended some others. Dried some tears and let others fall. Closed some work and let other work begin. Deepend some hope and silenced some worry.

An assured day, yes. Not worried or hurried. Not grasping or clasping. Not coveting or stealingor murdering or lying or gossiping or pushing or prying or pulling.

Just resting.Trusting. Rejoicing. Relying. Triumphing. In Him.
