I

don't agree with some of this lol, go figure.
I don't agree with the first two lines and I strongly don't agree with the last one.

If your child seems quite capable of having an extraordinary life?
Then why shouldn't he strive for it?
Why tell them they shouldn't?
Why try and limit their possibilities?
What other aspects of their lives is this gonna bleed over into?

"Now Johnny, you could probably set a new world record at the Olympics but remember being average is just as good."
I mean really would you say that to someone who could probably set a new world record at the Olympics?
No.
At least I hope not.

The middle part I'm all fine with.

The last line?
Thats the biggest bunch of bull shit I ever heard in my life.
The extraordinary will never take care of itself.
Never has, never will.
You got to know how to go find it.
Seriously, first off you gotta know how to seek it out and very few people do.
So if you're one of those types of people?
You're already ahead of the game.
Thats the easy part lol.
The hard part is being able to recognize it when it's right in front or all around you.
But trust me, if you're not actively seeking it out?
It won't just drop in your lap.
You get out of this life what you believe you deserve I read somewhere once.
It's true.
If all you believe you deserve is, mediocre?
Guess what?
That's all you're ever gonna get.
This is the way the universe works.
It really is.

Enjoy simple pleasures?
Sure.
You betcha.
Everyday.
All the time.
I was lookin at new buds on the red oak tree already yesterday.

But be happy being mediocre?
Accept mediocre when I know I don't have to?
Fuck you.
You don't know what you're talking about.
