Paraphrasing

a conversation from a while back.

"If we could just figure out the singularity, we'll have it all figured out."

"We never will."

"You don't know that."

"Yes I do."

Ecclesiastes 8:17

"and I saw every work of God, I concluded that man cannot discover the work which has been done under the sun. Even though man should seek laboriously, he will not discover; and though the wise man should say, "I know," he cannot discover."

Ecclesiastes 11:5

"As you do not know the path of the wind, or how the body is formed in a mother's womb, so you cannot understand the work of God, the Maker of all things."

Ecclesiastes 3:11

"He hath made every thing beautiful in his time. Also He hath set the world in their heart, so that no man can find out the work that God maketh from the beginning to the end."

I'm all for figuring out as much as we possibly can.
Thinking we're going to figure it all out?
It's the same as saying we'll be God someday.
No we won't.
Count on it.
