James 4:4
"You adulterous people!
Do you not know that friendship with the world is enmity with God?
Therefore whoever wishes to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God."
Getting it by not wanting it.
Not caring what happens to it.
Accepting the blessings of the lord.
Recompense.
Etc.
All very different from desiring the things of this world.
A wise man knows they will be gone one day.
His soul?
Eternal.
