all related.
Not sure how, just know they are.
I
was watching the Lion and Lamb ministries the other night for a little
while. I've been on their website and read and posted a few of their
articles here and there I do believe so I thought hey, give them a shot,
check them out for a second. I liked it, the other show I watched about
prophecy? I didn't care for it so much. But this show on the Lion and Lamb ministries? This one I enjoyed.
Totally agreed with the one guy who was saying it's all about Israel
and Jerusalem in end times biblical prophecies. To me anything else just
seems off the mark. So this one guy gets on there and he starts talking
about "a chosen people, a royal priesthood" and
about how its not every Christian that fits this criteria. That it's a remnant that comes forth after tribulation from every nation.
So
whats the big deal you're thinking? The big deal is this guy was saying
exactly what I've always thought since the first time I ever read these
verses (1 Peter 2:4-9) without so much as ever having read a commentary on it or
discussed it with any one ever. That may not be a big deal to anybody
else, but it was a big deal to me. Like what I just happened to think
out of the blue someday for no apparent reason was just positively confirmed.
Anyway, not really sure how, but these are all definitely all related. I don't have
my Reference Bible with me, I plan on checking what it says about these
referencing each other here in a bit.
Daniel 2:34-35
While you were watching, a rock was cut out, but not by human hands. It struck the statue on its feet of iron and clay and smashed them. Then
the iron, the clay, the bronze, the silver and the gold were all broken
to pieces and became like chaff on a threshing floor in the summer. The
wind swept them away without leaving a trace. But the rock that struck the statue became a huge mountain and filled the whole earth.
Matthew 22:14
For many are called, but few are chosen.
1 Peter 2:4-9
The Living Stone and a Chosen People
As you come to him, the living Stone—rejected by humans but chosen by God and precious to him— you also, like living stones, are being built into a spiritual house to be a holy priesthood, offering spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.
For in Scripture it says:
“See, I lay a stone in Zion,
a chosen and precious cornerstone,
and the one who trusts in him
will never be put to shame.”
a chosen and precious cornerstone,
and the one who trusts in him
will never be put to shame.”
Now to you who believe,
this stone is precious.
But to those who do not believe,
“The stone the builders rejected
has become the cornerstone,”
has become the cornerstone,”
and,
“A stone that causes people to stumble
and a rock that makes them fall.”
and a rock that makes them fall.”
They stumble because they disobey the message—which is also what they were destined for.
But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.
Revelation 2:17
Whoever has ears, let them hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To the one who is victorious, I will give some of the hidden manna. I will also give that person a white stone with a new name written on it, known only to the one who receives it.
To many coincidences isn't a coincidence.
Paraphrasing this book:
"They will interpret scripture in new ways.
They won't just take what they are fed.
They will seek out things for themselves."
