Dr. R.G. Lee's list of conversion excuses and questions

43. Excuse:

"I see no harm in worldy amusements."

Answer: The approach to this question should always be a positive and not a negative. Instead of asking, "What harm is there in it?' I should ask, "What good is there in it?"

"And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him." (Colossians 3:17).

"So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God."
(1 Corinthians 10:31).

"All things are lawful unto me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but I will not be brought under the power of any." (1 Corinthians 6:12).

"What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's." (1 Corinthians 6:19-20).

Sharper warning appear in the New Testament:
"If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are" (1 Corinthians 3:17).

"Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you."  (2 Corinthians 6:17)

"They profess that they know God; but in works they deny him, being abominable, and disobedient, and unto every good work reprobate." (Titus 1:16)

My aim should always be to give my utmost for his highest. (2 Timothy 2:4)
