"We have a problem."
"Barrel warehouse collapsed today at 1792 Barton Distillery in Bardstown, KY, approx 11am. No injuries reported. Warehouse has capacity for approx 20,000 barrels, estimated half of warehouse damaged. Not released as to how many barrels were involved as warehouse had allegedly been under construction and a number of barrels removed prior to collapse."
It doesn't say what cause the collaspe but I always thought it was interesting at Evan Williams in their rickhouses they had plumb bobs mounted so that if the wind got to strong and the plumb bob moved past a certian point? Get out! One barrell weights anywhere from 75 to 120 lbs, so call it a hundred and x it by 20,000 = 2 million lbs of weight stored six? Eight stories tall perhaps? You get that much weight moving in one direction?
Yeah, get out.
