Drop if you believe in “the one”. Have you met them? — I believe that there is ‘the one’ for each of us and that deep down we know if someone is the one or not. If soulmates are real, which I have faith that they are, then our soul knows. But we have to become still and silent enough to listen. That means not listening to the noise from our friends, family, society, or even professionals about what they think would be a good match. They can see from your soul. And it means filtering out the clamor in own heads that gets caught up in superficial things about being with or or rejecting someone based on superficial criteria. Our minds tell a story about how wonderful a life it would be with that successful guy or that beautiful girl, which often is about validating ourselves in some way. Sometimes we stay with someone even though our gut says they are not the one, because we are scared to be alone or scared we won’t meet the one. They can be perfect on paper and even kind in every way, but if they don’t make our heart sing, they are not for us. Always listen to the song of your heart. 

Instead of the superficial things, pay attention to the depth of the connection and if they truly see you and you can truly see them. Because when we truly see each other, that is when souls meet. So take the time to go inside and be still. Listen to what the voice deep within says. Be with the one that your soul tells you is the one and makes your heart sing. Trust in that. Because when we do, we are also trusting in all of creation and the mysterious hand of God hand in our lives. If you really and truly listen to your heart, you will know the answer. For it is your surest guide. And always, always follow your heart.
