PRAYER

I was talking with a friend of mine last Sunday.
Said he was really caught off guard the first time someone asked him to pray in front of a group.
I can certainly understand that.
Terrifying first time out of the gate.

I've shared this with others in person and on social media in the past.
I'll share here again.

Hopefully?
It may make that moment when someone is called on to pray in front of others a lil easier when the time comes.
Or to pray on their own.
Whatever the case may be.
(Got it from my Walk to Emmaus,
never let it go, ever :-).

A

Adore.

Tell God you love him.
You have every reason to.

C

Confession.

"I confess that I'm a sinner.
I don't deserve your love, grace, mercy and forgiveness
but you give them to me anyway.
Help me to give these things to others that don't deserve them from me,
just as you gave them to me.

Matthew 10:8

"...Freely you have received;freely give."

T

Thanksgiving.

Give thanks.
If you don't ever do anything else?
Give thanks.

You woke up?
Give thanks.
You gotta roof over your head?
Give thanks.
You can walk?
Give thanks.
You're warm?
Give thanks.
You've got clothes?
Give thanks.
You got water for your needs today?
Give thanks.
You're gonna eat today?
Give thanks.

It's such the opposite of what we do today.
Everybody just wants more and more.

If all you do is want?
Are you really giving thanks for what you already have?

Feeling bad about yourself and your situation?
Go help somebody else.

Give
Thanks.

Supplication.

Give your problems over to him.
This doesn't mean don't do the work.
Just means trust that his will will be done.
Hand it over.
Freedom awaits.

Promise.

There ya go.
Simple.
Easy.

All ya gotta do is remember:
