2 Peter 3 3-5

They will say, 

“Where is this ‘coming’ he promised? 

Ever since our ancestors died, everything goes on as it has since the beginning of creation.” 

But they deliberately forget 

that long ago by God’s word the heavens came into being 

and the earth was formed out of water and by water."

Ask a non-believer to explain to you the origin of the universe.

There are some who could give you a quite detailed explanation of The big bang theory etc.

Most?

Most haven't even considered for a moment 

how the universe or multiverse ("Heavens....) came into being.

Almost like?

They just don't want to even think about it.

Now why would they not even want to contemplate it?

It's almost like they know what fate awaits them and they just don't wanna face it.
