 So the last shall be first, 

and the first last: 

for many be called, but few chosen.

The first?

Called first?

Spiritually before others?

Closer to God?

They ended up last because they grumbled.

Be thankful in all situations no matter how difficult or trying.

Difficult to do trust me :-).

The first forgot who they were.

They compared themselves negatively to others.

The landowner gave Grace, Mercy etc.

He gave what was needed.

1) Don't forget who you were in the past.

2) Don't compare yourself negatively to others.

3) Always be thankful.
