I called Janet earlier than I normally do on my way to her house this AM to let her know I was on my way. Lots of small talk. I heard something rattling around, we just kept talking. In a bit she asked "Where are you?" I said "Turning onto Hikes Lane". "Well the door is unlocked, I think Hubert got up and unlocked it." I said okay, went in and went to sleep. Just laughed really. This guy is doing anything to keep me from talking to this woman face to face. He never, never, not once, has got out of bed to turn off the alarm and unlock the door. He wasn't even in the shower till 11 AM the other day. I could tell the first day she didn't want to stay up and talk like we normally do when I get there that something was up. The next day I stayed (Tuesday AM) is when my suspicions were confirmed as I heard them talking upstairs. Couldn't make out what they were saying, but he had never so much as been awake before when I would get there in the AM. Now this. He knows I am on to him. Gigs up. Matter of time. Lay low, let her figure it out. Better for her in the long run anyway.
Got up at 2:30. Went upstairs to check on things (they were gone). I am getting the impression he really just doesn't want to see my face anymore. Like I said, he can't even look me in the eyes, tells me everything I need to know. They had taken his car. I got my shower and left early to use my Cracker Barrel gift card from Connie, went to the one over by the fairgrounds. Text Janet, she called, small talk "Love you Janet.", "Love you too." Text her and told her I was glad to see that they were using his car for some of the trips to Shelbyville, that it needed to be driven in the cold weather. She didn't say anything back. She knows that wasn't the only reason I was glad to see her make him take his car :-). She said "See you in the morning". I said "Okay, see you then." Maybe I will, maybe he will get up and unlock the door again. Doesn't matter really. His days are numbered. It's pretty obvious he knows his lil scheme isn't going to go as planned. The fact he doesn't want to so much as see me tells me he is scared to death what might happen if I do. Good. Let him be scared. I'm not going to do anything. No need to. His dog is still not there, I still have a place to stay and she is making him take his vehicle (hopefully with his gas) to Shelbyville. He won't want to do this for long. Nuff said...good enough for me.
Left plenty early to make sure I had time to eat at Cracker Barrel. Had time to kill afterwards so I went to the Harley Dealer on Arthur Street right off 65 South. Figured out a lil while back I can leave early and go by there on my way to work instead of driving all the way out to the other dealer on Blankenbaker Road which I always felt like was a real haul. Anyway, stopped in there and there were cars everywhere. This is five PM. They close at six. I was like, "What is going on?" They are having a sale. All weekend. 20% off. I'm going by tomorrow to order my Chaps. They are not in stock but they can order them and I will still get the discounted price :-). I have a HD giftcard and some Christmas cash so I am only going to be out about $55 for a $300 pair of chaps. Pretty good investment if you ask me.
Love you.
