19. Excuse:

"My friends mean so much to me."

Answer: Are they your friends or your enemies? "Know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is an enemy of God" (John 4:4)

Do your friends care for your soul? "And when he had spent all, there arose a might famine in that land; and he began to be in want. And he went and joined himself to a citizen of that country; and he sent him into the fields to feed swine. And he would fain have filled his belly with the husk that the swine did eat: and no man gave unto him. (Luke 15:14-16).

You will gain a greater friend and friends 

John 15:15

I no longer call you servants, because a servant does not know his master’s business. Instead, I have called you friends, for everything that I learned from my Father I have made known to you.

Matthew 19:29

And everyone who has left houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother or wife[a] or children or fields for my sake will receive a hundred times as much and will inherit eternal life.
