barrels of oil the US consumed daily in 2021, suggesting the 15 million release won’t even satiate one day’s appetite.

(Lets see here, 400 million barrels in the SPR, 

US consumed 20 million barrels a day in 2021 so that's

20 days of consumption left in the SPR...
