DR Kissinger's article

from a while back...

How the Enlightenment Ends

"Philosophically, intellectually—in every way—human society is unprepared for the rise of artificial intelligence.

By Henry A. Kissinger

June 2018

"The speaker insisted that this ability could not be preprogrammed. His machine, he said, learned to master Go by training itself through practice. Given Go’s basic rules, the computer played innumerable games against itself, learning from its mistakes and refining its algorithms accordingly. In the process, it exceeded the skills of its human mentors. And indeed, in the months following the speech, an AI program named AlphaGo would decisively defeat the world’s greatest Go players.

"What would be the impact on history of self-learning machines—machines that acquired knowledge by processes particular to themselves, and applied that knowledge to ends for which there may be no category of human understanding? Would these machines learn to communicate with one another? How would choices be made among emerging options? Was it possible that human history might go the way of the Incas, faced with a Spanish culture incomprehensible and even awe-inspiring to them? Were we at the edge of a new phase of human history?

(Would these machines learn to communicate with each other? You can count on it. Hive mind.)

"Aware of my lack of technical competence in this field, I organized a number of informal dialogues on the subject, with the advice and cooperation of acquaintances in technology and the humanities. These discussions have caused my concerns to grow."

(That was four years ago, I can assure you they are still growing.)

"But that order is now in upheaval amid a new, even more sweeping technological revolution whose consequences we have failed to fully reckon with, and whose culmination may be a world relying on machines powered by data and algorithms and ungoverned by ethical or philosophical norms."

"...whose culmination may be a world relying on machines powered by data and algorithms and ungoverned by ethical or philosophical norms..." Count on it.

"They rarely interrogate history or philosophy; as a rule, they demand information relevant to their immediate practical needs...Truth becomes relative. Information threatens to overwhelm wisdom.

( Not over here it doesn't.)

'Inundated via social media with the opinions of multitudes, users are diverted from introspection; in truth many technophiles use the internet to avoid the solitude they dread. All of these pressures weaken the fortitude required to develop and sustain convictions that can be implemented only by traveling a lonely road, which is the essence of creativity.

(Psalm 46:10

10 He says, “Be still, and know that I am God;

I will be exalted among the nations,

I will be exalted in the earth.”

Try it for 5 minutes, then 10, then an hour, then a day etc...As in dont do anything but be alone with your thoughts.)

"The digital world’s emphasis on speed inhibits reflection; its incentive empowers the radical over the thoughtful; its values are shaped by subgroup consensus, not by introspection."

"Perhaps most significant is the project of producing artificial intelligence—a technology capable of inventing and solving complex, seemingly abstract problems by processes that seem to replicate those of the human mind."

(Us having our intellect is part of our being formed in the image of our creator...We are not the creator, we do not get to reinvent/surpass the human mind. Period)

"To the extent that its achievements are in part shaped by itself, AI is inherently unstable.'

"AI systems, through their very operations, are in constant flux as they acquire and instantly analyze new data, then seek to improve themselves on the basis of that analysis. Through this process, artificial intelligence develops an ability previously thought to be reserved for human beings."

(Hello return of the Nephilim. Kinda gives new meaning to: "As it was in the days of Noah..." Matthew 24:37.)

"We must expect AI to make mistakes faster—and of greater magnitude—than humans do."

(Yup...)

"There are three areas of special concern:

First, that AI may achieve unintended results."

(It will do what you said you wanted but it will miss completely your intentions, it can not have any "intuition" whatsoever.)

"If AI learns exponentially faster than humans, we must expect it to accelerate, also exponentially, the trial-and-error process by which human decisions are generally made: to make mistakes faster and of greater magnitude than humans do."

(Amen! Preach...I can not believe I am agreeing with Henry Kissinger BTW)

"In certain fields—pattern recognition, big-data analysis, gaming—AI’s capacities already may exceed those of humans."

(Like I said, hello return of the nephelium, God is just not gonna stand for it: "capacities already may exceed those of humans." )

"What will become of human consciousness if its own explanatory power is surpassed by AI, and societies are no longer able to interpret the world they inhabit in terms that are meaningful to them?"

(God is not gonna allow for our consciousness to be exceeded. It was his gift to us, we dont get to design machines with greater explanatory power than our minds. Not for long we dont anyway.)

"Who is responsible for the actions of AI? How should liability be determined for their mistakes? Can a legal system designed by humans keep pace with activities produced by an AI capable of outthinking and potentially outmaneuvering them?"

(Exactly)

"AI is likely to win any game assigned to it. But for our purposes as humans, the games are not only about winning; they are about thinking. By treating a mathematical process as if it were a thought process, and either trying to mimic that process ourselves or merely accepting the results, we are in danger of losing the capacity that has been the essence of human cognition."

("...we are in danger of losing the capacity that has been the essence of human cognition." Again, not for long we won't.)

"The implications of this evolution are shown by a recently designed program, AlphaZero, which plays chess at a level superior to chess masters and in a style not previously seen in chess history. On its own, in just a few hours of self-play, it achieved a level of skill that took human beings 1,500 years to attain. Only the basic rules of the game were provided to AlphaZero. Neither human beings nor human-generated data were part of its process of self-learning. If AlphaZero was able to achieve this mastery so rapidly, where will AI be in five years?

("where will AI be in five years?...Article was written four years ago.)

"The Enlightenment started with essentially philosophical insights spread by a new technology. Our period is moving in the opposite direction. It has generated a potentially dominating technology in search of a guiding philosophy.

("Our period is moving in the opposite direction..." It ought to tell you something abouit the direction were headed..."a potentially dominating technology in search of a guiding philosophy" You can rest assured, it will find one and it wont be pleasant when it does.)

The U.S. government should consider a presidential commission of eminent thinkers to help develop a national vision. This much is certain: If we do not start this effort soon, before long we shall discover that we started too late."

(It's four years after this article was written, unfortunately? Were not even gonna start on Dr Kissengers recommendations, let alone "start to late.'

Godspeed everybody.

Journey well my friends.

US rail unions decry Biden’s proposal to impose settlement through Congress

“Joe Biden blew it,” said Hugh Sawyer, treasurer of Railroad Workers United, a group representing workers from a variety of rail unions and carriers. “He had the opportunity to prove his labor-friendly pedigree to millions of workers by simply asking Congress for legislation to end the threat of a national strike on terms more favorable to workers. Sadly, he could not bring himself to advocate for a lousy handful of sick days. The Democrats and Republicans are both pawns of big business and the corporations.”

"As railroad carriers have implemented cuts and more grueling scheduling systems, they have also reported record profits and have paid out $196bn in stock buybacks and dividends to shareholders since 2010."

"BNSF and Union Pacific, the two largest railroad corporations in North America, both reported record profits in 2021. BNSF is owned by billionaire investor Warren Buffett’s Berkshire Hathaway conglomerate."

"Senator Bernie Sanders hit out at Buffett last week. “Warren Buffett, the owner of BNSF Railway’s parent company, became $1.38bn richer yesterday,” Sanders tweeted, referring to a boost to Buffett’s net worth from a rise in Berkshire Hathaway’s stock price.

In one day, Mr Buffett made twice as much money as it would cost to guarantee 15 paid sick days a year to every rail worker in America,” Sanders said. “The greed of the rail industry must end.”

Where was the church in fighting back against the greed of Corporations in this country?

“What railroad workers are standing up for is a better quality of life, to get the respect that they deserve, and the benefits that they deserve and have earned. Sick time, reasonable time off to rest when the majority of the railroad workforce works on call 24/7 365 days a year,” Parker said.

(What is the difference between that and being a slave exactly?)

With the increased demands that the railroads have put on with their personnel cuts and with these draconian attendance policies, railroaders are not given sufficient time off to rest, to recoup, to recover from illness or to spend time with their families,” he added. “That’s what they’re looking for. The failure to address that could have a profound effect in the future on the ability for railroads to hire and maintain workers.”

"In the railroad agreement, workers were provided with one paid day off and the ability to schedule three doctor appointments annually without being penalized, but Kurtz noted the parameters and restrictions make it nearly impossible to use the time off and provide employers with even greater interference and control over their workers’ healthcare. Workers had sought 15 paid days off in the contract.

“The Presidential Emergency Board was just no help whatsoever,” added Kurtz. “I thought it’d be somewhat more labor-friendly than it was, but it could have been written by the carriers as far as I was concerned.”

I hope they do go on strike, even if its illegal. Unfortunately this has become the only way to get corporations to listen.

Sad.

B-21, etc...

B-21 Stealth Bomber Designed To Break Through China’s ‘Impregnable’ Air Defenses; Can Beijing Stop The ‘Raider’?

(Yes it can and I'll tell you why and what nobody is talking about at the end of the piece.)

Designed To Break Through China's 'Impregnable' Air Defenses; Can...B-21 Stealth Bomber

By Parth Satam - November 27, 2022

This confirms previous analyses by EurAsian Times about the concerted US attempts to overturn its massive logistical disadvantages before an admittedly well-entrenched peer adversary that can inflict horrific losses on the US military.”

(People are just gonna flip when they start seeing carriers sinking in the Pacific. I said a while back, "We are going to see things in this lifetime we never thought wed see." Nukes being employeed in a theatre of conflict, wether Ukraine or elsewhere, the afore mentioned carriers going down...etc)

China’s dense and diverse air defense network, a highly advanced air force with fully operational stealth fighters and; long-range anti-land and anti-ship missiles that can keep an entire US naval armada at bay without allowing them to get close.

(That was their plan and they have executed it.)

This erodes the US Navy’s capacity (or payload) advantage. “What could US ships be launching in response? At the ranges we are talking about, nothing,” said former US Navy officer Bryan Clark.”

"Will The B-21 Cut It For The US?

This B-21 would just “bust through and break down this strategy to destroy critical enemy installations, command and control, and radar centers,” the report said."

(Infrared targeting systems will render stealth obsolete. More on that later.)

"US Military Admits It Does Not Have It Easy

The US Navy’s former Indo-Pacific Command Chief (INDOPACOM) Admiral Harry Harris admitted before the Senate Armed Services Committee in 2018 about Washington’s navy being at a “disadvantage (before) China (with its) ground-based ballistic missile that threaten our basing in the western Pacific.”

(Not just our ships but our bases.)

"His successor, Admiral Phil Davidson, concurred. These mid-range, anti-ship ballistic missiles are capable of attacking aircraft carriers in the western Pacific,” Harris said about the DF-21D.

Former US Marine Corps Officer Robert Haddick and Visiting Senior Fellow at the Mitchell Institute for Aerospace Studies tells Reuters that it is a “huge gap,” adding, “China’s anti-ship missile capability exceeds those of the United States in terms of range, speed, and sensor performance.”

“If weapon performance is insufficient, logistics to sustain a long-drawn conflict is another handicap.”

“...wargames conducted by think tanks like the RAND Corporation and the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) have repeatedly ended in devastating US and Taiwanese defeats.

The US’ logistics are fledgling, and it has no means to sustain a lengthy conflict while China can.”

(For two reasons, 1) the most obvious is they are closer to home.

2) They also have the military infrastructure in plave  to support themselves in a drawn out conflict  that we just don't.have.)

"Military Not The Only Tool To Win Against China

Even if the US does attack and score some tactical wins, an actual war in far east Asia and the western Pacific will have petrified most nations who will ask both parties to call a truce.

(Such a great point.)

"China’s unprecedented military drills around Taiwan after former US Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s visit saw studied silence and calls for de-escalation from every country in the (except Japan). None officially criticized China and threw in its lot with the US."

(Another great point.)

"They may be ideologically opposed to China and its position on Taiwan. But Beijing’s deep economic ties with each of them and the prospect of a conflict wreaking their economies have made them highly opposed to war.

China would know how to leverage economic clout before and during any conflict. East Asian nations can bear down on the US to give up the idea of fighting China. Thus, a merely advanced stealth bomber is no match for the overarching power of diplomacy and sheer brute money power.

(What we have done to others is going to be done to us...)

"Asian countries have long complained about the US not introducing economic investment programs except for Great Power rivalry and weapons deals."

(It's kinda who we are and what we do...)

"It (USA) has grown protectionist, withdrawing from free trade pacts while China knows the game in Asia is money. Its Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) and Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) are viewed as a no-questions-asked infrastructure, trans-continental transport, investment, and trade opportunity that is free of ideological compulsions (democracy vs. autocracy).

(Whether it is or not isn't what matters, free of ideological compulsions (democracy vs. autocracy), it's how those initiatives are perceived that matters rn.)

"It is a different matter that this view has been catching on in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) too.”

(These are exactly the countries who have not condemned Russia's invasion of Ukraine BTW and below it will tell you why that is.)

"Russia commands neutrality from non-G7 countries since they know Russia has been winning the war. International Relations theory expects non-Great, Regional, and Middle Powers to lean in the direction of swaying winds and see the inevitable, eventual American decline."

(Funny you have to go outside of this country to get your truth anymore, it wasnt always that way, or at a minimum, not this sevre.)

"But neither does Russia aim to nor is it interested in supplanting the US as the new boss on the block, with rivaling political, economic, technological, and military means. China doesn’t say so, but everybody knows it wants to."

(and thats why the Russians are more than happy to "soften us up" so to speak, spending $ we dont have, giving out weapons systems we wont be able to manufacture quick enough when we need them etc...)

Now the real reason why the B-21 stealth bomber wont penetrate Chinas air defenses that nobody is talking about:

Hypersonic etc

"Chinese scientists say they have developed next-generation hypersonic weapons with technical breakthroughs in infrared homing technology – which the US military may not have until 2025."

"Heat-seeking capability allows Chinese hypersonic missiles to home in on almost any target – including stealth aircraft, aircraft carriers and moving vehicles on the street – with unprecedented accuracy and speed, according to the researchers."

"With effective hypersonic precision strike weapons, the critical value of "strtegic depth"in traditional warfare will no longer exist. all the critical political, economic and military assets of a country will be at risk."

With all the $ we spend on defense?

We got this far behind?

How is that even possible?

Whats your explanation?

I love you baby.
TTYS honey.

I guess

this is why the Chairman of the Joint chiefs of Staff thinks they will wait "years" until they are ready to take back Taiwan?

China has an advantage over the US Navy that could mean a 'decisive' defeat for US warships in a fight at sea

(This is from three years ago and its still true today.)

"In the maritime battlespace, Chinese warships have an advantage over US Navy vessels that could prove "decisive" in a conflict.

While the US has China outgunned, having greater capacity than the Chinese, China's naval forces have greater range.

Were China to initiate hostilities from a safe distance, its clear range advantage could render the US Navy's capacity advantage irrelevant.

"China is arming its surface warships with supersonic anti-ship cruise missiles with far greater range than the Cold War-era subsonic missiles the US Navy has in its arsenal."

"In a ship-to-ship fight, it all comes down to range, capacity, and capability, and it looks like China has an advantage in at least one, if not two, of these areas.

"On any given day in the South China Sea, [the US and China] could find [themselves] in a situation where each side has about the same number of anti-ship cruise missiles, but one side has a much longer range than the other," Clark told BI."The US is going to be at a disadvantage."

"In a hypothetical naval conflict scenario with the same types and numbers of ships on each side, the US will undoubtedly have greater capacity, but if the Chinese side is able to launch at longer ranges, then the missiles on the US side wind up being irrelevant if China fires first from outside the range of the US warships.

"What could US ships be launching in response?" Clark asked. "At the ranges we are talking about, nothing."

"Right now, we do not have anything that reaches that far, and therefore, the range disadvantage ends up being dominant. You'll never get a shot. You'll never get a chance to exploit your capacity advantage."

"The range disadvantage ends up being decisive," he added. "Even having the larger capacity is not enough to make up for it if the Chinese initiate the hostilities."

(To think they are not going to and here soon would be foolish at this point.)

"This is why the US Navy is modifying the Tomahawk cruise missile to have a maritime strike capability. It's about getting that range back."

"The idea," Clark explained, "is that if you had the Maritime Strike Tomahawk, you would be able to threaten the PLAN at the kinds of ranges that the PLAN can threaten you." Theoretically, this would deter them from ever attacking."

"if you had..."

Thats a pretty big if, dont ya think?

How's your soul?

Are you right with God?

Are you ready for what we are gonna be facing here in the not to distant future?

I sure hope so...

(Thx Pastor Bridgette :-).

Prophetic Standards

Prophetic Standards

 PROPHETIC STANDARDS STATEMENT

At a time when there are many questions in the Body concerning the gift of prophecy and the ministry of the prophet, and in light of the needs of local pastors as well as individual believers to have practical guidelines for processing prophetic words, as Pentecostal and Charismatic leaders, we felt that now was the opportune moment to produce this current document.

It is not the purpose of this statement to condemn or accuse. Instead, our purpose is to help provide scriptural guidelines for the operation of the gift of prophecy and the functioning of the ministry of the prophet, while at the same time affirming the importance of these gifts and ministries.

WE BELIEVE that the gifts of the Holy Spirit, including the gift of prophecy and the ministry of the prophet, are essential for the edification of the Body of Christ and the work of the ministry, which is why Scripture exhorts us to earnestly desire spiritual gifts, especially that we may prophesy (see 1 Cor. 14:1, 39). Prophetic ministry is of great importance to the Church and must be encouraged, welcomed, and nurtured.

WE BELIEVE it is essential to create an environment in which prophecy can flourish, side by side with the other gifts of the Spirit and together with apostolic, evangelistic, pastoral, and teaching ministries. To create this environment, we need to encourage freedom in the Spirit in a faith-filled atmosphere, making room for spontaneous utterances as the Spirit wills. But all this must be done with proper accountability and oversight.

WE BELIEVE that the general function of the gift of prophecy, as it relates to the church, has to do with edification, exhortation, and comfort (see 1 Cor. 14:3). As this gift relates to unbelievers, it can reveal the secrets of their hearts and bring them to repentance, demonstrating God’s reality to them (see 1 Cor. 14:24-25).

WE BELIEVE that the essence of the spirit of prophecy is the testimony of Jesus, hence the ultimate goal of prophetic ministry is to exalt the lordship of Jesus Christ, even though we recognize that not every prophetic word will specifically point to Him (see Rev. 19:10; 1 Cor. 12:3).

WE BELIEVE in the five-fold ministry of the prophet, recognizing that such prophets will also be used to bring correction, instruction, and directional clarity to the Body, but not independent of other leaders, and therefore different from the model of the independent Old Testament prophet.

WE RECOGNIZE that prophets do not serve as spiritual fortune tellers or prognosticators, nor is their role to satisfy our curiosity about the future or reveal abstract information. God’s purpose in prophecy is redemptive, calling for repentance, giving supernatural guidance, bringing comfort, deliverance, restoration, and glorifying Jesus as Lord.

WE RECOGNIZE that, due to the nature of prophetic ministry, some prophetic words can be submitted for evaluation before they are delivered while other words will be evaluated after they are delivered. But in all situations, those claiming to speak for God should welcome the godly evaluation of their prophecies.

(Go right ahead, proof is in the pudding)

WE BELIEVE that prophecies should first be tested by the Word, then if the prophetic word is not contrary to the Scriptures, it should be evaluated by other mature leaders. If a prophecy is given in the context of a local church, then mature leaders in that setting should evaluate it. If a prophecy is given in the context of a region or nation, then mature regional or national leaders should be invited to evaluate the word (see 1 Cor. 14:29; 1 Thes. 5:19-21). Those who refuse to have their words tested should not be given a platform.

(Amen!)

WE RECOGNIZE that prophets receive supernatural revelation from God, but they are also dependent on other five-fold ministry leaders for the interpretation and application of the revelations they receive. It is the Lord’s will that all these various ministry gifts, including the ministry of the prophet, work in harmony rather than independently. Only then will the Body come into full health and maturity.

WE RECOGNIZE the unique challenges posed by the internet and social media, as anyone claiming to be a prophet can release a word to the general public without any accountability or even responsibility. While it is not possible to stop the flood of such words online, we urge all believers to check the lives and fruit of those they follow online and also see if they are part of a local church body and have true accountability for their public ministries and personal lives. We also urge prophetic ministers posting unfiltered and untested words purportedly from the Lord to first submit those words to peer leaders for evaluation.

WE AGREE that Scripture instructs us not to despise prophecies but to examine prophetic utterances carefully and to hold fast to that which is good (1 Thes. 5:19-21). This also means that we should cultivate honor and respect for true prophetic ministries rather than an attitude of skepticism or scorn.

WE BELIEVE that all spiritual leaders, including those serving as prophetic ministers, should be vetted and qualified by their respective churches, networks, or movements based on the standards of leadership set forth by Paul the apostle as found in 1 Timothy 3:1-8; Titus 1:5-9.

(Deal!)

WE BELIEVE that all spiritual leaders, including five-fold ministry prophets, should be above reproach and should live a life worthy of their calling (see Eph. 4:1-3). Consequently, we believe that prophetic leaders whose lives violate the moral and ethical standards of the Word disqualify themselves from the ministry irrespective of how much influence or anointing they have.

WE ALSO AGREE that the greatest requirement for all leaders in the church, including prophetic leaders, is to endeavor to reflect the character of Christ and to utilize their gifts out of love for God, His people, and the lost (1 Cor. 13:2; Rom. 8:29).

WE VALUE humility, integrity, and accuracy in prophetic ministry in order to protect the faith and trust of those who hear a word that is stated to be from God. It is a sacred thing to claim to speak for the Lord and, in keeping with the words of Jesus, to whom much is given, much is required (see Luke 12:48). And just as those who teach are held to a higher standard of accountability (see Jam. 3:1), so also those who prophesy should be held to a higher standard. They can have a powerful influence over people’s lives for better or worse, because of which we urge sobriety and circumspection together with faith and boldness.

WE UNDERSTAND that prophecies can be conditional and that many prophecies will take time to come to pass. We also recognize that prophetic language is often mysterious and symbolic, requiring interpretation and insight. This means that prophecies that do not contradict the Bible or that are not contrary to fact should be evaluated over time and not immediately rejected.

On the other hand, if a prophetic word is delivered containing specific details and dates in which the stated prophetic word will come to pass and that prophecy contains no conditions to be met in order to be fulfilled, and that word does not come to pass as prophesied, then the one who delivered the word must be willing to take full responsibility, demonstrating genuine contrition before God and people.

( I have already explained all of this, if what was said comes to pass? It was from God, if not? it was my wishful thinking etc)

Any statement of apology and/or explanation/clarification should be delivered to the audience to whom the erroneous word was given. For example, if it was given to an individual, the apology (and/or explanation/clarification) should be delivered to the individual. If the word was delivered publicly, then a public apology (and/or explanation/clarification) should be presented. This is not meant to be a punishment but rather a mature act of love to protect the honor of the Lord, the integrity of prophetic ministry, and the faith of those to whom the word was given.

WE BELIEVE it is essential that all spiritual leaders, including prophetic leaders, have a presbytery of peers and seasoned spiritual leaders who can hold them accountable regarding their life and ministry. In keeping with this, we reject the notion that to judge a prophet’s words is a violation of Psalm 105:15 (where God exhorted the ancient nations not to touch the patriarchs or harm His prophets). Prophets who err must be willing to receive correction from peer leaders with whom they are in accountable relationship. Those refusing such accountability should not be welcomed for ministry.

WE RECOGNIZE that true prophetic words can be faith-building and can sometimes call for a faith-filled response, but we reject the idea that prophets can use Old Testament texts about believing the prophets in order to gain blanket support for their words, as if everything a prophet utters today must be believed. To the contrary, we can only believe the prophetic word if it is not contrary to Scripture, it is not factually in error, and our own spirits bear witness with it. Only then can we add our faith to that word coming to pass (see 1 Tim. 1:18).

Those wanting to use Old Testament prophetic texts to exercise influence or authority over their followers should remember that inaccurate prophecy under that same Old Testament standard was punishable by death. New Testament prophets, along with other New Testament ministry leaders, do not lord it over their people or demand submission and faith. Instead, in humility, they serve the flock (see 1 Pet. 5:1-4).

WE REJECT any threatening words from prophets today, warning their followers that judgment will fall on them if they fail to obey the prophet’s words. We see this as a dangerous form of spiritual manipulation.

WE REJECT the spiritual manipulation of the prophetic gift for the personal benefit of the prophet or of his or her ministry, whether to garner favor, power, or financial gain. And under no circumstances can a prophet charge money to deliver a prophetic word. This is spiritual abuse of the worst kind and is detestable in God’s sight.

WE REJECT the notion that a contemporary prophetic word is on the same level of inspiration or authority as Scripture or that God’s inerrant speech is always communicated perfectly by prophets today, since the Bible says we only know in part and prophesy in part (1 Cor. 13:9). It is the written Word alone that can lay claim to being “the Word of God” (2 Tim. 3:16); prophecies, at best, are “a word from the Lord,” to be tested by the Word of God.

Finally, while we believe in holding prophets accountable for their words, in accordance with the Scriptures, we do not believe that a sincere prophet who delivers an inaccurate message is therefore a false prophet. Instead, as Jesus explained, and as the Old Testament emphasized, false prophets are wolves in sheep’s clothing, in contrast to true believers who might speak inaccurately (see Matt. 7:15-20; Jer. 23:9-40; Ezek. 13:23). Thus a false prophet is someone who operates under a false spirit masquerading as the Holy Spirit.

WE THEREFORE RECOGNIZE distinctions between a believer who gives an inaccurate prophecy (in which case they should acknowledge their error), a believer who consistently prophesies inaccurately (in which case we recognize that this person is not a prophet and we urge them to stop prophesying), and a false prophet (whom we recognize as a false believer, a lost soul, calling them to repent and be saved).

Because God’s gifts and calling are irrevocable (see Rom. 11:29), we understand that a person who has been prophetically gifted might be able to function in that gifting even though they are no longer in right relationship with God. That is why it is imperative that we judge a prophet by the fruit of their life and ministry rather than by their gift, also recognizing that there are some who started right but will be rejected in the end (see Matt. 7:21-23).

I didn't sign  for several reasons:

1) I am not a "leader" in the Pentecostal or Charismatic communities.

2) "But all this must be done with proper accountability and oversight."

Who will that be?

What are their "credentials"?

How will they be chosen?

Who will choose them?

My accountability and my oversight shall be foremost with my wife and my God. I have cultivated relationships with individuals in the ministry whom I respect and trust and I will depend on them and them only to hold me/us accountable.

Period.

3) "but not independent of other leaders, and therefore different from the model of the independent Old Testament prophet."

Maybe God sent everybody else away so that he could get close? Sorry but, "the model of the independent Old Testament prophet" is exactly what I have been experiencing/living etc.

4) "they are also dependent on other five-fold ministry leaders for the interpretation and application of the revelations they receive"

ABSOLUTELY NOT.!

People can interpret and apply all they want to but WE will not dependent on such.

5) "WE BELIEVE it is essential that all spiritual leaders, including prophetic leaders, have a presbytery of peers and seasoned spiritual leaders who can hold them accountable regarding their life and ministry.

See above:

"I have cultivated relationships with individuals in the ministry whom I respect and trust and I will depend on them and them only to hold me/us accountable."

A few tweeks here and there and I am all in.

Great document overall and it addresses a growing problem in certain communities of the faith which should and need to be addressed.

I like what it says, I just cant sign it for the afore mentioned reasons.

Army Captain Campbell, given his previous positions knows a lot about Russian strategy/tatctics but his assertion that Russia “switched to” a war of attrition strategy just flies in the face of common sense given, selling $’s, buying gold, developing weapons and insulating their economy. Somebody was saying from day 3 or 4 that’s what they were doing.

That’s four things somebody is saying AHEAD of the pack. Lives in a garage , no TV no internet. Only internet I get is at library of hitting free WIFI, you might want to stop and ask your self, “How is that possible?...So glad you asked…Lets go examine the book of Haggai a lil…Yes, Haggai…

Haggai Verses

Haggai 1:5-6

New International Version

5 Now this is what the Lord Almighty says: “Give careful thought to your ways. 6 You have planted much, but harvested little. You eat, but never have enough. You drink, but never have your fill. You put on clothes, but are not warm. You earn wages, only to put them in a purse with holes in it.”

Haggai 1:14

1:14, And the Lord stirred up the spirit of Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, governor of Judah, and the spirit of Joshua the son of Josedech, the high priest, and the spirit of all the remnant of the people; and they came and did work in the house of the Lord of hosts, their God,

2 Haggai 2:6-9

King James Version

6 For thus saith the Lord of hosts; Yet once, it is a little while, and I will shake the heavens, and the earth, and the sea, and the dry land;

7 And I will shake all nations, and the desire of all nations shall come: and I will fill this house with glory, 8 The silver is mine, and the gold is mine, saith the Lord of hosts.

9 The glory of this latter house shall be greater than of the former, saith the Lord of hosts: and in this place will I give peace, saith the Lord of hosts.

Haggai 2:11-14

11 “This is what the Lord Almighty says: ‘Ask the priests what the law says: 12 If someone carries consecrated meat in the fold of their garment, and that fold touches some bread or stew, some wine, olive oil or other food, does it become consecrated?’ ”The priests answered, “No.” 13 Then Haggai said, “If a person defiled by contact with a dead body touches one of these things, does it become defiled?” “Yes,” the priests replied, “it becomes defiled.”14 Then Haggai said, “‘So it is with this people and this nation in my sight,’ declares the Lord. ‘Whatever they do and whatever they offer there is defiled.

Haggai 2:23

2:23 In that day, saith the Lord of hosts, will I take thee, O Zerubbabel, my servant, the son of Shealtiel, saith the Lord, and will make thee as a signet: for I have chosen thee, saith the Lord of hosts.

(Think about your country, think about the Colorado river drying up, think about inflation, think about never being content w what we have)

Haggai 1:14

And the Lord stirred up the spirit of Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, governor of Judah, and the spirit of Joshua the son of Josedech, the high priest, and the spirit of all the remnant of the people; and they came and did work in the house of the Lord of hosts, their God.

Joshua/Zerubbabel Gods chosen for a very specific task, (Rebuild the temple) put his spirit in them and the people. Two witnesses? Same thing, made Gods representatives on earth for a very specific task and put his spirit in them. (His outpouring of his spirit on these two will announce the end times and awaken his dead and lethargic people just as it did back in the day to get the temple rebuilt.)

Christ was a Priest after the order of Melchizedek (Psalm 110:4; The Lord hath sworn, and will not repent, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchizedek. Hebrews7:17 For he testified, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchizedec… Not a Levite, no order of priest yet, during Melchizedecs time, no nation of Israel yet Abraham gave him 10% of his spoils of war after defeating the armies of the plain and recusing Lot. No lineage, no pedigree, no affiliation, no genealogy to make him as such and yet he was a king and a priest, and here we have what? A king and a priest. “Raised up” his spirit in them...two witnesses, Breathed the breath of life into them Rev 11:11 see vs in.

Rev 11:11-13

11 But after the three and a half days the breath[b] of life from God entered them, and they stood on their feet, and terror struck those who saw them. 12 Then they heard a loud voice from heaven saying to them, “Come up here.” And they went up to heaven in a cloud, while their enemies looked on.

13 At that very hour there was a severe earthquake and a tenth of the city collapsed. Seven thousand people were killed in the earthquake, and the survivors were terrified and gave glory to the God of heaven.

(The Spiritual reverberates in the material remember that)

2 Haggai 2:6-9

King James Version

6 For thus saith the Lord of hosts; Yet once, it is a little while, and I will shake the heavens, and the earth, and the sea, and the dry land; (1x event

(Yet once, an end to our worldly systems, lil while, 500+ years after this Christ was born, in a lil while, all will dissolve as well, shake the heavens and the earth, (earth he did at his birth (metaphorically some might say) death and resurrection…Ellicott’s commentary for English readers…”the period between the present and the predicted great change of the world will be but one period—i.e., one uniform epoch—and that this epoch will be a brief one.”… “There is yet to be an interval of time, of limited duration, and then shall come a new era, when the glory of God’s presence shall be manifested more fully and extensively.” It happened when he came the first time, it will be more fully realized on his return…Points to bothn his 1st coming and his second at the same time, God doesn’t experience time in a linear fashion, it past present and future all at the same time, How? Because he created it that’s how…

7 And I will shake all nations, and the desire of all nations shall come: and I will fill this house with glory,

Just as Christ coming was greater than that of Moses, so will the end be better than what was, Just as nations were shaken at his birth so shall they be at his return. The desire of all nations shall come (Christ, 1st and 2nd time)

 Hebrews 12:25-29

New International Version

25 See to it that you do not refuse him who speaks. If they did not escape when they refused him who warned them on earth, how much less will we, if we turn away from him who warns us from heaven? 26 At that time his voice shook the earth, but now he has promised, “Once more I will shake not only the earth but also the heavens.”[a] 27 The words “once more” indicate the removing of what can be shaken—that is, created things—so that what cannot be shaken may remain.

28 Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, let us be thankful, and so worship God acceptably with reverence and awe, 29 for our “God is a consuming fire.”[b]

( Detour 2nd Peter 3:1-12 “Above all, you must understand that in the last days scoffers will come, scoffing and following their own evil desires. (Split in Catholic church, Germany, split in Methodist church, Bro Joes rev bible studt, Homosexuality will split the church into 2 factions in end times) 4 They will say, “Where is this ‘coming’ he promised? Ever since our ancestors died, everything goes on as it has since the beginning of creation.” 5 But they deliberately forget that long ago by God’s word the heavens came into being and the earth was formed out of water and by water. 6 By these waters also the world of that time was deluged and destroyed. 7 By the same word the present heavens and earth are reserved for fire, being kept for the day of judgment and destruction of the ungodly.

8 But do not forget this one thing, dear friends: With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day. 9 The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.

10 But the day of the Lord will come like a thief. The heavens will disappear with a roar; the elements will be destroyed by fire, and the earth and everything done in it will be laid bare.[a]

11 Since everything will be destroyed in this way, what kind of people ought you to be? You ought to live holy and godly lives 12 as you look forward to the day of God and speed its coming. [b] That day will bring about the destruction of the heavens by fire, and the elements will melt in the heat.

“At that time his voice shook the earth”(Hebrews12:26)…Noah, Flood, but it wasn’t the end, the next time he destroys the earth will be indicative of his sons return and it will shake the heavens and the earth this time.

We need to remember There is the same play being played out on two stages, one’s material, one’s spiritual.( 2 different expansion rates of the universe, neither can be reconciled, what happens in the spiritual realm affects or  the physical. The two different stages “bump” into each other…Bible encyclopedia, Angels etc…) Basic Christian beliefs talks about the resurrection and how that played out in the spiritual (death defeated) and we a saw the lingering affects here on earth.)

Haggai 2:8 The silver is mine, and the gold is mine, saith the Lord of hosts. (I love you more than gold or silver” As the deer. “Don’t gain the world and loose your soul, wisdom is more precious than silver or gold…etc…)

Haggai 2: 9 The glory of this latter house shall be greater than of the former, saith the Lord of hosts: and in this place will I give peace, saith the Lord of hosts.

Revelation 21:3-4 3 And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Look! God’s dwelling place is now among the people, and he will dwell with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God. 4 ‘He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death’[a] or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.”

(Revelation 21:23 KJV And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof.)  saith the Lord of hosts. (Angels) “Present glory greater than former My Bible? New Jerusalem.”…1st time ever reading it.

Haggai 2:11-14

11 “This is what the Lord Almighty says: ‘Ask the priests what the law says: 12 If someone carries consecrated meat in the fold of their garment, and that fold touches some bread or stew, some wine, olive oil or other food, does it become consecrated? ’”The priests answered, “No.” 13 Then Haggai said, “If a person defiled by contact with a dead body touches one of these things, does it become defiled?” “Yes,” the priests replied, “it becomes defiled.”14 Then Haggai said, “‘So it is with this people and this nation in my sight,’ declares the Lord. ‘Whatever they do and whatever they offer there is defiled.

Sanctity (the state or quality of being holy, sacred, or saintly) is not transferable from one individual to the next it’s gift of God), defilement  (the act of making something foul, dirty, or unclean) is,

Haggai 2:23 In that day, saith the Lord of hosts, will I take thee, O Zerubbabel, my servant, the son of Shealtiel, saith the Lord, and will make thee as a signet: for I have chosen thee, saith the Lord of hosts.

Servants have any choice to do anything except what their master expects? Jude was a servant, Paul was a servant (Romans 1:1, Jude, a servant of Christ…well guess what? Us too…😊. That’s a play on words BTW and a big one…you’ll see. Vs 23 only speaks to Zerubbabel, others had spoke to both Zerubbabel and Joshua…Interesting… ‘I have chosen thee” many are called few are chosen…Matthew 22:14

“Make thee as a signet…”

Reverses the curse on Zerubbabel grandfather (Jeremiah 22:23-25) …Oh…reverses the curse…Interesting…

Jeremiah 22:23-25

New American Bible (Revised Edition)

23 You who dwell on Lebanon, who nest in the cedars, How you shall groan when pains come upon you,  like the pangs of a woman in childbirth!

24 As I live—oracle of the Lord—even if you, Coniah,[a] son of Jehoiakim, king of Judah, were a signet ring on my right hand, I would snatch you off. 25 I will hand you over to those who seek your life, to those you dread: Nebuchadnezzar, king of Babylon, and the Chaldeans. (Chinese and the Russians? For us, and yes he did, it was, Nebuchadnezzar, king of Babylon, and the Chaldeans. Who had destroyed the temple to start with…

Revelation 22:3

3 No longer will there be any curse. The throne of God and of the Lamb will be within the city, and His servants will worship Him

Footnotes NABRE

Jeremiah 22:24 Coniah: a shortened form of Jeconiah, the name Jeremiah gives King Jehoiachin (cf. 24:1). A signet ring: the seal used by kings and other powerful figures—a symbol of their power and status—mounted in a ring worn constantly on the hand. The Lord says that even were Jehoiachin such a precious possession, he would reject him. Hg 2:23 uses the same imagery to signal the restoration of Zerubbabel. The words in Jer 22:24–30 date from the short three-month reign of Jehoiachin, before he was deported by Nebuchadnezzar.

Footnotes Haggai 2:23

2:23 Like a signet ring: this promise to Zerubbabel reverses the punishment of his grandfather (Jer 22:23–25). A signet is a ring or other instrument used to mark documents or materials with the equivalent of an official signature. A lower official could thus be authorized to act on behalf of a higher official. Like a signet ring, Zerubbabel represents the Lord. (Singular not

My Mendenhall Reference bible references two other verses:, The NABRE and Biblegateway.com didn’t, Biblehub.com did and some others, I stick with my Mendenenhall (shock wave and all)and what it references and it said these two:

Isaiah 42:1, New American Bible (Revised Edition)

The Servant of the Lord 1 Here is my servant[a] whom I uphold, my chosen one with whom I am pleased.

Upon him I have put my spirit; he shall bring forth justice to the nations.

Footnotes

42:1–4 Servant: three other passages have been popularly called “servant of the Lord” poems: IS 49:1–7; 50:4–11; 52:13–53:12. Whether the servant is an individual or a collectivity is not clear (e.g., contrast 49:3 with 49:5). More important is the description of the mission of the servant. In the early Church and throughout Christian tradition, these poems have been applied to Christ; cf. Mt 12:18–21.

Isaiah 43:9

New American Bible (Revised Edition)

9 Let all the nations gather together, let the peoples assemble! Who among them could have declared this, or announced to us the earlier things?[a] Let them produce witnesses to prove themselves right, that one may hear and say, “It is true!”

Footnotes

43:9 Who among them…?: God, and only God, can foretell the future because it is he who brings it to pass. The argument from prediction is an important theme in Second Isaiah and occurs also in IS 41:22; 43:10; 44:7–8, 26.

Isaiah 49:5

New American Bible (Revised Edition)

5 For now the Lord has spoken who formed me as his servant from the womb, That Jacob may be brought back to him and Israel gathered to him; I am honored in the sight of the Lord, and my God is now my strength!

Isaiah 43:10, “Ye are my witnesses”, saith the Lord, and my servant whom I have chosen: that ye may know and believe me, and understand that I am he: before me there was no God formed, neither shall there be after me. Revelation 22:13  (I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End.)

Footnotes

43:10 You are my witnesses: Israel’s role as chosen people (Through whom Gods plan of salvation of mankind would be revealed) now takes a new turn as they are given the active role of bearing witness before humankind to the Lord’s role in history by proclaiming events beforehand and bringing them to pass; see also Is 44:8. The false gods, on the other hand, cannot produce such witnesses (v. 9; cf. 44:9).

I am he: this formula of self-identification, repeated in vv. 13 and 25, is used here to support the assertion that the Lord alone is God; see also 41:4; 46:4; 48:12; 51:12; 52:6. This expression in part may be behind the self-identification formula used by Jesus in John’s gospel (cf. Jn 8:58). Before…after: another example of the same assertion, that the Lord alone is God; see also note on 44:6.

 (Lost son parable, Luke 15:22

“Whether the servant is an individual or a collectivity is not clear”

We’ve been here before when talking about the ‘other tradition” of the two witnesses being Elijah and Tabitha, in the apocrypha book, “The apocalypse of Elijah” it was stated that some manuscripts had “One mouth” that spake fire to their enemies, had one body etc…and I said they were close… It’s Two bodies one soul…just like Joshua and Zerubbabel merges into “one servant” in Haggai 2 vs 23
