2 Peter 2:1-3
False Teachers and Their Destruction
"But there were also false prophets among the people, just as there will be false teachers among you. They will secretly introduce destructive heresies, even denying the sovereign Lord who bought them—bringing swift destruction on themselves. 2 Many will follow their depraved conduct and will bring the way of truth into disrepute. In their greed these teachers will exploit you with fabricated stories. Their condemnation has long been hanging over them, and their destruction has not been sleeping."
1 Timothy 6:2-5
False Teachers and the Love of Money
...These are the things you are to teach and insist on. If anyone teaches otherwise and does not agree to the sound instruction of our Lord Jesus Christ and to godly teaching, they are conceited and understand nothing. They have an unhealthy interest in controversies and quarrels about words that result in envy, strife, malicious talk, evil suspicions and constant friction between people of corrupt mind, who have been robbed of the truth and who think that godliness is a means to financial gain.

Jude 4
For certain individuals whose condemnation was written about long ago have secretly slipped in among you. They are ungodly people, who pervert the grace of our God into a license for immorality and deny Jesus Christ our only Sovereign and Lord.
2 Peter 2:17
These people are springs without water and mists driven by a storm. Blackest darkness is reserved for them.
If you wanna follow them?
Then go right ahead.
I'm not trying to scare anybody.
God is whom you should fear.
I do wanna add this though:
One of the ways we study the word and our faith is through these lenses:
One:
How often is the topic addressed in the scripture.
(False teachers in the church is pretty cut and dried as shown above.)
Two:
Is this a recent trend in the church or has it been around a while (like 1000's of years)?
(In regard to human sexuality?
I think it's fare to say what is going on in the church rn is a fairly recent trend.)
Three:
Exactly what parts of the body of Christ are being affected?
(Why is this only an issue in the Western Church?
And why is it happening right now might be some things you wanna ask yourselves.)
I mean this is just such a no-brainer.
If you are scared?
Maybe you should stop and figure out
exactly why that is and then?
Do something to fix it.
