Dont

pay attention to the headline.

There is more important stuff in here than that.

Syrian rebel leader says women’s education will continue – but refuses to be drawn on alcohol

Questions remain over how Ahmed al-Sharaa’s government will rule after the fall of Bashar al-Assad.

"Ahmed al-Sharaa, Syria’s de facto leader, said he believed in education for women as he denied the new government would be another version of the Taliban."

"Amid jubilation over the downfall of Assad, fears remain among some Syrians and observers overseas that HTS could turn the country into a new Afghanistan by implementing strict Islamic law across the country, as the Taliban have done since their takeover in 2021."

"Al-Sharaa was asked about his plans by the BBC’s Jeremy Bowen, who interviewed him inside Assad’s presidential palace in Damascus which was left empty by the former dictator after he fled to Russia as the country fell to the rebels."

“There are many differences between Syria and the Taliban,” he said.

“The way we govern is different. Afghanistan is a tribal community. Syria is completely different. The people just don’t think in the same way. The Syrian government and the ruling system will be in line with Syria’s history and culture.”

Of course. We’ve had universities in Idlib for eight years,” he said, referring to the north-west region of Syria held by the rebels since 2011.

“I think the percentage of women in universities is more than 60 per cent,” he added."

There will be a Syrian committee of legal experts to write a constitution. They will decide, and any ruler or president will have to follow the law.

"He did however say that everyone in Syria would be “represented”.

"He said: “The old regime always played on sectarian divisions. But we won’t. We were welcomed in all the big cities by all the sects. I think the revolution can contain everybody.”

“We haven’t committed any crimes that justify calling us a terrorist group. In the last 14 years, we haven’t targeted any civilians or civilian areas or civilian targets,” he said.

“Now, after all that has happened, sanctions must be lifted because they were targeted at the old regime. The victim and the oppressor should not be treated in the same way.”

"Despite HTS’s successful toppling of the Assad regime, concerns remain that war in Syria could continue in the north of the country between Kurdish and Turkish-backed forces."

"A Turkish defence ministry source said on Thursday that Ankara intends to push ahead with its military preparations until Kurdish fighters “disarm”, stressing Turkey faces an ongoing threat along the border."

"Turkey has thousands of troops in northern Syria and also backs a proxy force there which has engaged in ongoing clashes with the SDF, a US-backed Kurdish-led force that Ankara sees as an extension of its domestic nemesis, the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK).

(Proxy war with a NATO ally anybody?

I mean how much longer

are they really gonna stay in NATO

do you think?)

"Fears have been building about a possible Turkish assault on the Kurdish-held Syrian border town of Kobane, also known as Ain al-Arab, some 50 kilometres (30 miles) northeast of Manbij."

“The threat posed by the terrorist organisation to our borders and our operation areas in Syria continues,” the source told France’s AFP news agency.

“Until the PKK/YPG terrorist organisation disarms and its foreign fighters leave Syria, our preparations and measures will continue within the scope of the fight against terrorism.”

"Turkey accuses the YPG (the People’s Protection Units) – which makes up the bulk of the SDF – of being affiliated with the PKK which both Washington and Ankara consider a “terrorist” group.

"Since 2016, Ankara has carried out several major operations against the SDF."

(The people we are backing to fight ISIS.)

"But Turkey believes Syria’s new rulers and Ankara-backed rebels “will liberate the regions occupied by the terrorist organisation PKK/YPG,” the ministry source said.

"Washington on Tuesday said it had brokered an extension to a fragile ceasefire in Manbij and was seeking a broader understanding with Turkey."

(Yeah good luck with that.

Here is the only broader understanding

you need about Turkey:

From the Caucasus to the Balkans, to the the middle east and Eastern Mediterranean, to North Africa and beyond,
they have made their intentions quite clear.
Revisit Rev 17:8-11 if needed.)

"But the defence ministry source insisted Ankara was not talking with the SDF, saying it was “out of the question for us to meet with any terrorist organisation”.

(If it was us on the other side of the equation?
We wouldn't talk to them either.)

"State Department spokesman Matthew Miller said Tuesday the Manbij truce had been “extended through the end of the week, and we will, obviously, look to see that ceasefire extended as far as possible into the future”.

"But the Turkish source said “every step taken by terrorist groups that pose a threat to the security of our country and Syria is followed, and preventive and destructive measures are taken”.

This guy?

Flat out gives me

"he denied the new government would be another version of the Taliban."

Compelling arguments

Ill say that much.

Daniel 8:25

"by peace will destroy many"

Anybody?

1 John 2:18

Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time.

Just sayin...

Antichrist from the Middle East?

By Chuck Missler

(That's more for a historical perspective on the issue. How Missler missed the Armenian Genocide and its role in The beast that once REV 17:8-11 was is beyond me.)

My views are pretty well documented on the subject that AI will "coalesce" around a quantum powered synthetic humanoid leader.

I maintained from Turkey.

Missler said from Assyria.

How will he unite the nations?

"The prophet Daniel describes the Antichrist in these terms: "After this I saw in the night visions, and behold, a fourth beast … And there … were eyes like the eyes of a man, and a mouth speaking pompous words. … He shall speak pompous words against the Most High

Daniel 7:7–8, 25

7 After this I saw in the night visions, and behold a fourth beast, dreadful and terrible, and strong exceedingly; and it had great iron teeth: it devoured and brake in pieces, and stamped the residue with the feet of it: and it was diverse from all the beasts that were before it; and it had ten horns.

8 I considered the horns, and, behold, there came up among them another little horn, before whom there were three of the first horns plucked up by the roots: and, behold,

in this horn were

eyes like the eyes of man

(Because he isnt one.)

and a mouth speaking great things.

"As Daniel says, the coming world leader will be renowned for this kind of eloquence, which will capture the attention and administration of the world."

"Daniel goes on to tell us that not only will this golden–tongued orator speak in high–blown terms, but he will also speak arrogantly against God. The apostle John describes him similarly in the book of Revelation: "And he was given a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies" (Revelation 13:5).

"Daniel continues his description of the Antichrist by telling us he is a man "whose appearance was greater than his fellows" (Daniel 7:20). In terms of his outward appearance, this man will be strikingly attractive. The combination of his magnetic personality, speaking ability, and extreme good looks will make him virtually irresistible to the masses."
