It has been my experience (That is a really long story BTW :-) that sometimes at the end of a hearing, the concerned parties may be asked to provide closing arguments in writing, summarizing their positions.
Therefore, let the following individual parts stand, each in their own right , for the argument that The King over the supernatural locust of Revelation 9, The angel of the Abyss, whose name in Hebrew is Abaddon, is an instrument of God and not of Satan:
1) The text itself is perfectly clear...
Revelation 9:11
They had as king over them the angel of the Abyss, whose name in Hebrew is Abaddon and in Greek is Apollyon (that is, Destroyer). The text, always go with the actual text first and foremost.
2) The locust had specific instructions to not harm the people who have the mark of God on their forehead follows a similar story for the destroyer entity that served Gods purposes during the last plague on Egypt, that is the killing of all the firstborn of Egypt but passing over all who put the blood of the lamb above and on the sides of their doors. (The mark of God).
Exodus 12:12-13, Exodus 12:23
Exodus 12:7
Then they are to take some of the blood and put it on the sides and tops of the doorframes of the houses where they eat the lambs.
Exodus 12:12-13
“On that same night I will pass through Egypt and strike down every firstborn of both people and animals, and I will bring judgment on all the gods of Egypt. I am the Lord. 13 The blood will be a sign for you on the houses where you are, and when I see the blood, I will pass over you. No destructive plague will touch you when I strike Egypt.
Exodus 12:23
When the Lord goes through the land to strike down the Egyptians, he will see the blood on the top and sides of the doorframe and will pass over that doorway, and he will not permit the destroyer to enter your houses and strike you down.
3) The fact that there are a minimum of eight other instances in scripture where destroyer angels/entities are spoken of as fulfilling Gods purposes:
Hebrews 11:28
28 By faith he kept the Passover and sprinkled the blood, so that the Destroyer of the firstborn might not touch them.
Psalm 78:49
49 He unleashed against them his hot anger, his wrath, indignation and hostility—a band of destroying angels.
2 Samuel 24:16
16 When the angel stretched out his hand to destroy Jerusalem, the Lord relented concerning the disaster and said to the angel who was afflicting the people, “Enough! Withdraw your hand.” …The angel of the Lord was then at the threshing floor of Araunah the Jebusite.

That night the angel of the Lord went out and put to death a hundred and eighty-five thousand in the Assyrian camp. When the people got up the next morning—there were all the dead bodies!

Behold, I have come out to oppose you because your way is perverse 3 before me. 33 The donkey saw me and turned aside before me these three times. If she had not turned aside from me, surely just now I would have killed you and let her live.”
Acts 12:23
23 Immediately an angel of the Lord struck him down, because he did not give God the glory, and he was eaten by worms and breathed his last.
Matthew 13:49–50
49 So it will be at the end of the age. The angels will come out and separate the evil from the righteous 50 and throw them into the fiery furnace. In that place there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
Exodus 12:23
23 For the Lord will pass through to strike the Egyptians, and when he sees the blood on the lintel and on the two doorposts, the Lord will pass over the door and will not allow the destroyer to enter your houses to strike you.
That there are eight references to destroyer angels/entities would mystically suggest they are tied to a new beginning and there can not be a new beginning without an ending and that the life force itself and the process of creation are solely the providence of God and not of Satan.
4) The text says that the supernatural Locust are "given power" much like the two witnesses in Revelation 11 are also "given power"

And out of the smoke locusts came down on the earth and were given power like that of scorpions of the earth.
Revelation 11:3
And I will give power unto my two witnesses, and they shall prophesy a thousand two hundred and threescore days, clothed in sackcloth.
That No one makes the argument the two witnesses are demonic (except perhaps Satan and his henchmen) ought to tell you whereby "the power" given the locust has come from.
5) The notes in my

(The Locust) Eight characteristics (again the number eight is indicative of a new beginning) are listed to show their eschatological (relating to death, judgment, and the final destiny of the soul and of humankind) and diabolical nature.

The locusts 1) looked like horses prepared for battle. 2) On their heads they wore something like crowns of gold, and 3) their faces resembled human faces. 4) Their hair was like women’s hair, and 5) their teeth were like lions’ teeth. 6) They had breastplates like breastplates of iron, 7) and the sound of their wings was like the thundering of many horses and chariots rushing into battle (Joel 2:5) 8) They had tails with stingers, like scorpions, and in their tails they had power to torment people for five months.
6) Dimensionality and what entities have what access
to what dimensions is solely the realm of the creator:

You were in Eden, the garden of God; every precious stone adorned you: carnelian, chrysolite and emerald, topaz, onyx and jasper, lapis lazuli, turquoise and beryl. Your settings and mountings were made of gold; on the day you were created they were prepared.

*Fiery stones are associated with
the divine presence see: Ex 1:13, Ps 18:13, Isaiah 6:7
7) The very specific instructions given
the locust serves Gods purpose(s) including:
a. Assisting in reverting the earth back
to as it were before the flood:
Revelation 9:4
And it was commanded them that they should not hurt the grass of the earth, neither any green thing, neither any tree; but only those men which have not the seal of God in their foreheads.
(Not in their right minds)
Genesis 1:29
Then God said, “I give you every seed-bearing plant on the face of the whole earth and every tree that has fruit with seed in it. They will be yours for food.
Genesis 2:16-17
And the Lord God commanded the man, “You are free to eat from any tree in the garden; but you must not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, for when you eat from it you will certainly die.”
Post Flood:

It will produce thorns and thistles for you,

with the whole point being there will be no more worry about sustenance. (You wont want a steak, it's supernatural food). It's hard to argue that returning the earth as it was pre flood would be in Satans interest.
b. The very specific instructions they are given also indicate they are under the control of a higher power, that they are very disciplined and that they have no free will:
Revelation 9:4-5
They were told not to harm the grass of the earth or any plant or tree, but only those people who did not have the seal of God on their foreheads. They were not allowed to kill them but only to torture them for five months. And the agony they suffered was like that of the sting of a scorpion when it strikes.
