I have the same pat answer I always give.

Oh hell no, I would have been right there on the front lines burning my draft card etc.

This lil tiny country is a threat to our way of life blah blah blah, like there is no way they can go on existing without having their coke and Kentucky Fried Chicken or something even though they have existed for thousands of years before us or some other kind of nonsense..

Then I remembered my great uncle Leo.

Conscientious objector in WW2.

My family may have persuaded me to go.

If I did I? It would have been as a conscientious objector to honor my great uncle.

Dad flat out told me one time:

"If it was you and you had to go to Canada? I wouldn't blame you."

At least I had to think for a second :-).
