Over glorification of the child
I absolutely just despise the over (emphasis on over) glorification of the child in this culture. It wasn't always like this. Seriously, it's abhorrent and out of control. Congratulations, you have a child or children, happy for you, hope you and them live long blessed lives but you know what? You aren't the only person to ever have one and you won't be the last, so please keep that in mind and try and act like it. Goes back to the whole "if your children are your life? Good luck to you when they aren't around anymore" feelings I guess.
The celebration of willful ignorance.
These days people seem to delight in being ignorant and think that their opinions, thoughts and beliefs should warrant the same considerations as experts in different areas of expertise. They don't. You chose to be willfully ignorant. Reap what you sow, but please in the meantime? Just shut the ever-livin fuck up. Goes to the whole, "I read an Internet meme, I know as much as the guy that read the twenty page white paper on a policy position." No, no you don't know as much as them and you won't.
