I told Bro Joe that once and he just kind of laughed at me. Looking back? I'm thinking now the words were put in my mouth. To us maybe time is linear so it makes sense but I really don't think Gods time is. Timelines are to help man make sense of things, what would God need them for? Does he not already know whats going to happen, how and when? Reading the visions of the prophets and they all seem to take place in Gods realm, on his turf, in his dimension. So if the visions being revealed are in Gods dimension? Wouldn't the "time' in the vision be his as well? IE, not understandable to us? Maybe not I guess, but it makes sense to me so I'm rolling with it :-). I mean to an entity that is infinite for all eternity? Why would he need a beginning a middle and an end? He made it (time), it will be whatever he wants it to be, whenever he wants it to be, however long it needs to be untill his conditions are right.
I can give two examples right off the top of my head.
Daniel 12 (particularly verse 7) "A time, times and a half a time" would be three and a half years which corresponds to several things in The book of Revelation, but these things haven't happened yet, surely the three and a half years mentioned in the book of Daniel are on God's time, not ours.
The "Two Witnesses" appear in between the sixth and the seventh trumpet in Revelation, chapters 8-11. I read over and over and over about how the two witnesses are to appear in between the sixth and seventh trumpets because that's where they are in this book. Never mind it doesn't ever say anywhere that that is the case. To me this is mans logic being imposed on the word. Nowhere does it say that this is what has to happen. It's just where they are put in the vision.
Don't think timeline in regard to time. Think of it like a snapshot of the packets of a large digital file being sent across multiple networks simultaneously. The picture of those packets being taken in an instant would be all the moments of all our life's with all the events and people place things we will encounter along the way.
Go ahead, have me committed, I've went over the edge :-).
Love you Lucy.
Jeremiah 33:3.
