a day to remember.
It really was.
I had some much needed maintenance
done on her Thursday 4/09/26
Rear running light was out.
Front brake pads needed replaced.
Belt needed tightened.
Oil needed changed.
(Badly).
Its just kinda hard to
"ride in confidence"
in those conditions.
Is for me anyway.
Met some
pretty cool guys in the process.
Had a nice lil shop.
Pretty neat.
Felt right at home.
Way more than I do
with the overwhelming
majority of people
I come in contact with anymore.
A lot of people understand
that just don't come easy
for me these days,
(Comfort being w others)
especially right out of the gate
so that was really nice.
Friday 4/10/26
she got washed and waxed.
I love the black instead of the chrome.
Didn't even wash her up
before putting her away for the season last year,
largely due to just being disgusted with
the amount of maintenance needed.
So she was disgusting.
Took all of an hour or so
to clean her up.
(There's still more to be done
but we are operational now
and way better than we have been
in two years now so...
yea us!)
So Saturday 4/11/26
was just one of those days.
(Queue the Bizquit song lol)
I felt better than I had in a while
(ear infection)
I felt like I looked better
than I had in a while lol
the Bike definitely looked better
than she had in a while lol.
I don't have a lot of pictures of me.
But Saturday I wanted one.
So honey took it for me.
Me and the bike both
looking and feeling a lot better
than we had in a while.
Bout to go do my
lil 78 mile round trip,
go visit some friends,
eat some good Mexican grub,
come home.
There is a stretch of road
on this "circuit" lol
that has 11
90 degree turns in 13 miles.
So if you do the course both ways?
You get 22
90 degree turns lol
in 26 miles
having done the inverse
(going in the opposite direction)
of the original 11
90 degree turns.
Not bad.
Pretty fun really.
Gott watch for farmers this time of year.
But after crops are planted
and school is still in session?
Or harvested in the fall?
School still rollin?
All good.
I like
"making sparks"
thats my thing.
Not long trips,
(although I've done
some of that
just to show it could be done),
Not straight away speed,
Just lean over in the turn
till the wear pegs
on the foot rest
drag the pavement.
Thats it.
If it scrapes?
It counts lol.
It aint all crazy
like the motogp guys lol.
It just kinda makes you think
you could have been one lol.
But on this particular course
I was talking about?
I usually have to do it a few times
at the start of the season
to get "acclimated"
so to speak,
then we can cut loose a lil
see what we can do.
This past Saturday?
I drug pegs in 6 different corners.
Right out of the gate.
First day out
I don't think its ever happened
with me before.
So yeah
for me anyway:
It was a day to remember.
It really was.
"The right bike,
the right day,
the right road,
I just pretty much
feel at one
with the universe.
When I feel like
I don't fit anywhere
or I'm lonely
or I'm like all screwed up
in the head,
I get on my bike
and go for a ride
and it's like
all of the sudden,
I'm fixed".
