Pretty sure

Peter didn't know anything

about a

"Heat Death

of the universe when he wrote it.

The heat death of the universe (also known as the Big Chill or the Big Freeze) is a scientific hypothesis regarding the ultimate fate of the universe which posits the universe will evolve to a state of no thermodynamic free energy and, having reached maximum entropy, will therefore be unable to sustain any further thermodynamic processes. Heat death does not imply any particular absolute temperature; it only requires that temperature differences or other processes may no longer be exploited to perform work. In the language of physics, this is when the universe reaches thermodynamic equilibrium.

2 Peter 3:10-12

But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise,

and the elements shall melt with fervent heat

the earth also and the works that are therein

shall be burned up.

11 Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness,

12 Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved

and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?

13 Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness

(See also:

Revelation 21:1

And I saw a new heaven and a new earth:

for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away;

and there was no more sea.)

[the] elements

στοιχεῖα (stoicheia)

Noun - Nominative Neuter Plural

Strong's 4747: Neuter of a presumed derivative of the base of stoicheo; something orderly in arrangement, i.e. a serial constituent, proposition.

Cosmic Dissolution in 2 Peter

Peter uses στοιχεῖα of the very fabric of creation: “the elements will be destroyed by fire” (2 Peter 3:10) and “will melt in the heat” (2 Peter 3:12). The final conflagration affects heaven and earth, purging corruption and preparing “a new heaven and a new earth, where righteousness dwells (2 Peter 3:13). Thus the στοιχεῖα serve as both the current ground of existence and the material subject to future transformation under God’s sovereign decree.

So if the bible is:

"just written by man"
and not the:
"inspired word of God"
then how did Peter know in the
first century about:

"something orderly in arrangement"

(See pictures above)

being "dissolved"

Melted away with

"fervent heat"

???????????

And to be fair via the
"AI overview"

"The "Cold" Ending:

Despite the name,

it is a very cold, not hot, state.

Heat flows from hot to cold

until all temperatures are uniform.

It's still a

"Heat death" to make way

for the new creation.

The creation obeys its creator.

Count on it.

So how did Peter know

the elements would be dissolved?

Or Paul know that:

"Everything that manifest is light."

"Ephesians 5:13

But all things

that are exposed

are made manifest

by the light,

for whatever

makes manifest

IS

 light."

If the bible was just:

"written by men."

???????????

I got all day:

(Almost lol...)
