How

hard is it to understand?

I mean really/

Amos 5:18-19

Woe to you who desire the day of the Lord!

For what good is the day of the Lord to you?

It will be darkness, and not light.

It will be as though a man fled from a lion,

And a bear met him!

Or as though he went into the house,

Leaned his hand on the wall,

And a serpent bit him!

No matter what you do?

 Or where you go?

You will not be able to escape it.

Oil Reserve Refill Is ‘Difficult’ This Year, US Energy Chief Says

"US Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm said it will be “difficult” this year to refill government oil reserves, even as crude prices hovered within the agency’s target buy-back range."

"Granholm, in testimony before a House panel, said maintenance at two Strategic Petroleum Reserve sites as well as an ongoing 26 million-barrel crude sale mandated by Congress make refilling a challenge."

(Here's what she didn't tell you: This isn't just regular maintenance at these sites. This is maintenance necessitated by the SPR release! Yeah...Oil pumps and Salt caverns, things stored for years etc., what could ever go wrong? Opps, and with a war in the pacific looming and we cant fill this back up even if we wanted (Go read the Amos verse again). Somebody is on record as having said when they announced the SPR drawdown(s) it will never get back to where it was (SPR storage levels).

This year it will be difficult for us to take advantage of this low price,” Granholm said. “But we will continue to look for that low price into the future because we intend to save the tax payer dollars.”

(The House of Saud might have a lil something to say about that given they decided to push a production cut through OPEC + yesterday...and ahead of their normal timeline at that.)

"Tumbling crude prices have revived expectations that the US will try to replenish the emergency reserves, but the Energy Department has said it can’t refill the reserve at the same time it’s distributing oil from the stockpile."

“These sales that we are doing this year will take this year,” Granholm said in her testimony before a House Appropriations Committee panel said, adding it will take “a few years” to refill the reserve.'

(Not a thing about how the SPR drawdowns have contributed to the maintenance needed.

I'd like to know how much the Department of Energy has had their maintenance budget at the SPR sites cut back over the years. That would be a good one.

You cant just keep cutting items in the budget out and then expect things to be there and work right when you need them.

Like...Oh IDK...Like when there is a war brewing with China in the Pacific maybe?

(Said that when they initially said they were gonna release from the SPR BTW...Bonafides and all...etc...etc...etc...)

Might as well be us rn.
