BIBLICAL DEMONOLOGY AND ESCHATOLOGY (Study of end time events) Chapter 12, part 3 THE DEMONOLOGY OF THE LAST DAYS AND THE JEW

C. THE DEMONOLOGY OF THE LAST DAYS AND THE JEW

Direct and potent demonic activity and deception can be discerned in every phase of the Jewish rejection of the Lord Jesus Christ, their Messiah, at His first advent. The venomous hatred of the scribes and the Pharisees, their secret and underhand plottings, the fraud and the crooked methods resorted to in His trial, His unjust condemnation, and shameful death-all bear the unmistakable stigma of demonic treachery. The insensate cry of the populace, "His blood be on us, and on our children" (Matt. 27:25), and the blindness which has rested on Jewish hearts down through the Christian centuries (Rom. 11:25), prove the grip that demon power has over this people. But, however great Jewish deception and demon domination have been in the past, the full force and manifestation of demonic tyranny, as in the case of unbelieving Gentiles, will not be reached until the last awful days of this dispensation, just preceding the second advent of the Messiah.

("the blindness which has rested on Jewish hearts

down through the Christian centuries'

Funny to me how one group of Jews always seems to get forgotten about

the Ethiopian ones who accepted Christ.

I Bet they are not even mentioned in this chapter.)

1. DEMONISM AND LAST-DAY JEWISH UNBELIEF

It was very significant prophecy which Jesus uttered concerning the abysmal delusion which would be the penalty for Jewish skepticism in the last days. ."I am come in my Father's name, and ye receive me not: if another shall come in his own name, him ye will receive" (John 5:43). Refusing the light, they will accept gross darkness. Rejecting the true Christ, they will welcome the false one, even him "whose coming is according to the working of Satan with all power, and signs, and lying wonders" (II Thess. 2:9), who "opposeth and exalteth himself against all that is called God or that is worshipped; so that he sitteth in the temple of God, setting himself forth as God" (II Thess. 2:4).

Regathered to their homeland, established there as a nation in unbelief,

with a rebuilt temple,

and a reinstated Judaism, under demon tutelage and imposture, they will make a league with the Antichrist at the beginning of the amazing final seven years of this age (Dan. 9:27).

(WARNING:

LONG DETOUR AHEAD:

Berean Standard Bible

Renders Daniel 9:27:

27And he will confirm a covenant with many for one week,

but in the middle of the week he will put an end to sacrifice and offering.

And on the wing of the temple

will come

the abomination that causes desolation,

until the decreed destruction is poured out upon him.”

This? Among A LOT of other reasons is why I prefer a "Blended" interpretation of Daniels seventy weeks, encompassing parts of both the Historical and Futurist interpretations.

As neither the "Historical view"

or the "Futurist view" seem to get it all right. A quarter has a heads side and a tails side, flip it in the air rapidly and which is side is it? Both. One thing is for certain, when it is all said and done? It will match up perfectly with Gods word, regardless of what man thought it was supposed to be before hand.

I had no more got done writing that and explaining it to Honet over coffee, took a nap and went to a friend of our home to watch the NFL playoffs (she was gone, honey been housesitting etc.), we get all situated and honey says, "Here is that Bible I was telling you about." So I ask to see it.

Its a Catholic Bible. First place I went to?

Luke 21:22
For these be the days of vengeance that all things which are written may be fulfilled.

I wanted to see if that verse in Luke was cross referenced with

Zechariah 11:1
Open your doors, Lebanon,
so that fire may devour your cedars!

As so far no one has come forward with a bible that does even after searching the library at the nearby Arch Abbey. The only bibles we have found to date with that particular cross reference are honeys bible, my Mendenhall Reference bible, and the Reference bible at New Chapel Church where we attend worship.

Not only was that verse in Luke not cross-referenced? There wasn't any Exposition (expounding upon) on any of the verses in Luke 21. Not a one. I thought  well, that's a lil odd, there's other notes at the bottom of the pages for other verses in other chapters, lets go checkout Matthew 24 and see if there is any notes on the verses there (and if not I'm giving it right back to be put on the shelf!)

So I go to
Matthew 24:15
When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:)

VER. 15. The abomination of desolation. Cf. Dan. 9:27: 11:31; 12:11. In 1 Mach. 1:57 an application of the prophecy is found in the setting up by Antiochus Epiphanes of a statue of Jupiter Olympius in the temple of Jerusalem. The prophecy will be fulfilled a second time for Jerusalem but not necessarily in the same way. St. Luke sees "the abomination of desolation" in the army which surrounded and destroyed Jerusalem.

I had just wrote and talked to Honey about the two sides of a coin being flipped rapidly in the air as being an analogy for one prophecy being fullfilled in two different ways and then that finds me? In that manner? Not what I was looking for originally at all.

See?
Last time we had a man set up an image
in the temple to be worshiped

"an application of the prophecy is found in the setting up by Antiochus Epiphanes of a statue of Jupiter Olympius in the temple of Jerusalem"

In The second fulfillment of this prophecy,
it will be AN IMAGE (Idol) of a man
(Not an actual human, but a soulless, quantum computer powered, AI humanoid
setting himself up and deeming himself as worthy of worship in/on a wing of Gods temple.
Same exact prophecy, two different applications.

And like I have said previously?
It will be this guy:

Yeah I know.
Im crazy etc.

Lets review:

"If we carefully examine the many references in the Old Testament, we discover a surprising number of allusions to this dominant personage as “the Assyrian.”

Isaiah 10:5
O Assyrian, the rod of mine anger, and the staff in their hand is mine indignation.

Isaiah 10:24
Therefore thus saith the Lord God of hosts, O my people that dwellest in Zion, be not afraid of the Assyrian: he shall smite thee with a rod, and shall lift up his staff against thee, after the manner of Egypt.

Isaiah 14:25
That I will break the Assyrian in my land, and upon my mountains tread him under foot: then shall his yoke depart from off them, and his burden depart from off their shoulders.

Isaiah 30:31
For through the voice of the Lord shall the Assyrian be beaten down, which smote with a rod.

Ezekiel 31:3
Behold, the Assyrian was a cedar in Lebanon with fair branches, and with a shadowing shroud, and of an high stature; and his top was among the thick boughs.

Micah 5:5
5 And this man shall be the peace, when the Assyrian shall come into our land: and when he shall tread in our palaces, then shall we raise against him seven shepherds, and eight principal men.

Micah 5:6
6 And they shall waste the land of Assyria with the sword, and the land of Nimrod in the entrances thereof: thus shall he deliver us from the Assyrian, when he cometh into our land, and when he treadeth within our borders.

(And its been very well documented on here what happened after Damascus fell and going to worship and reading those passages in Micah and KNOWING without anybody telling (hadnt seen this piece by Missler at that time) what thet meant and who that was etc.)

"It is noteworthy that in both Daniel 8 and 11, prophecies highlighting the final world leader emerge from the passages involving the sequence of the leaders of the Seleucid Empire: the region now known as Syria and Iraq."

"Drew? Buddy? I don't know man..."

Then consider this:

New American Bible (Revised Edition)
15 “When you see the desolating abomination[a] spoken of through Daniel the prophet standing in the holy place (let the reader understand),

24:15 The desolating abomination:
in 167 B.C. the Syrian king Antiochus IV Epiphanes desecrated the temple by setting up in it a statue of Zeus Olympios (see 1 Mc 1:54). That event is referred to in Dn 12:11 LXX as the “desolating abomination” (NAB “horrible abomination”) and the same Greek term is used here; cf. also Dn 9:27; 11:31. Although the desecration had taken place before Daniel was written, it is presented there as a future event, and Matthew sees that “prophecy” fulfilled in the desecration of the temple by the Romans.

(I disagree, if that was the case? Then why are we witnessing what we are today?)

In the holy place: the temple; more precise than Mark’s where he should not (Mk 13:14). Let the reader understand: this parenthetical remark, taken from Mk 13:14 invites the reader to realize the meaning of Daniel’s “prophecy.”

So that's a former Syrian King setting up an Idol to be in the temple previously compared to a current Syrian leader (sophisticated beyond his means gives it away)
who himself being an image (Idol) will declare himself worthy of worship on Gods temple.

(Kinda mirrors: Last time angels created a life form that wasnt supposed to be here, caused all kinds of evil confussion, this time man did it, same result both times, God alone owns the life force, sooner or later you would think his creation(s) would figure it out.)

Who better to survive the coming war than a soulless quantum powered synthetic AI humanoid?

If you got a better explanation of how:

"The prophecy will be fulfilled a second time for Jerusalem
but not necessarily in the same way."
?

Im all ears.

(Reference also

Okay, long detour is over :-)

The ungodly alliance will prove a covenant with "death and hell" (Isa. 28:18), for in the middle of the period the false, flattering Messiah will break his agreement, sit in the temple, demanding worship for the image he will set up,

(Written in 1952, today we understand that

He himself will be the image.

"A soulless quantum powered AI humanoid."

What could be any more antithetical to the

"Son of Man"

a Human Being?)

and for himself. The cruel and terrible "abomination of desolation, (Matt. 24:15) will mark the commencement of the most intense and diabolical persecution of the Jew the world has yet seen, the horrible "time of Jacob's trouble" (Jer. 30:7).

(The second half of the last of Daniels seventy sevens "The Great Tribulation" will indeed be most horrible for Gods chosen people who refused their messiah but the notion by some (not alluded to here) that it only will affect the Jew is misguided.

Witness:

Luke 21:23

23 How dreadful it will be in those days for pregnant women and nursing mothers! There will be great distress in the land and wrath against this people.

and

Luke 21:35

35 For it will come on all those who live on the face of the whole earth.

Does it not make sense that his chosen people who refused Christ he would try and drive to their knees even more so than the gentiles?

Regardless?

It (The Great Tribulation) affects all.)

Through the fiery ordeal of death and desolation, the nation will be made to see its supreme folly and crime in rejecting its true Messiah, and choosing the false one. Through the refining crucible they will learn the deadly power of demonic delusion, and in their dire extremity, will turn their eyes heavenward, and cry for their true deliverer, as the godless demon-led armies close in to destroy them completely from the face of the earth.

(Were seeing the early stages of this being set up right now, in our lifetime.)

When their Messiah breaks through the heavens in unspeakable glory, the scales will at last fall from their blinded eyes, and when they look upon Him whom they have pierced, they will recognize Him not only as the Messiah, the King of kings and Lord of lords, but as the meek and lowly Jesus of Nazareth, whom they slew on Golgotha's brow. Unbelief will give way to radiant faith, and hardness of heart to great mourning and "the spirit of grace and supplications" (Zech. 12:10).

2. DEMONISM AND LAST-DAY JEWISH DEMONIC POSSESSION

The twelfth chapter of Matthew is a scathing exposure of the wickedness and gross unbelief of the Jews in rejecting and slandering their King and Messiah. Their dreadful guilt in repudiating divinely attested truth, in refusing inward light, and thus sinning against the Holy Spirit, made them more culpable than the ancient heathen (Matt. 12:38-42), and furnishes the background and occasion for Jesus' vivid prophetic parable incisively emphasizing the appalling fact, that, although the nation was then wicked,

in the future it would become even more so.

(All you have to do is look at Gaza these days. Im all for defending yourselves and using a sledgehammer to kill an ant so all the other ants tow the line etc, but THAT many casualties couldn't have been avoided? Its a hard case to make, it really is.)

Using the graphic and significant figure of a demoniac, Jesus sketches in that chapter the history of the Jewish people (Matt. 12:43-45). The illustration begins at the point of dispossession. "But the unclean spirit, when he is gone out of the man, passeth through waterless places, seeking rest, and findeth it not" (v. 43). The demon-possessed man represents, according to the scope of the passage indicated by our Lord himself, "this evil generation" (v. 45). The reference to "race" (genea) is clearly to the Jewish nation, which had so signally exhibited its crime, and so deservedly merited the epithet "evil" in its abysmal unbelief and deliberate rejection of its rightful Messiah. The man in the original demonized state speaks of the nation "from the time of the Exodus to the period of the Captivity," when the worship of other gods exercised a strange and horrible fascination over the people," and "deprived them . . . of light, reason, and the true freedom of will," so that they were enslaved and possessed by the "unclean spirit" of idolatry. The expulsion of the demon from the man suggests the departure of the unclean spirit of idolatry from the nation after the exile, when, not so much by the teaching of the prophets as by that of the scribes and the Pharisees, idolatory seemed banished forever. The house, "empty, swept, and garnished" (v. 44), describes the condition of the Jews under their freedom from idolatry and with their moral and social improvements. However, the arresting word is "empty." The nation was (and is) undeniably improved in certain ways, "swept clean, and in good order." But the calamitous thing is that it was (and is) "empty," unoccupied by God's Spirit, unpossessed by a living faith, and uncontrolled by any genuine spiritual life. The resulting improvements are of no avail, and are to be swept away.

(I had never heard that passage of scripture used in that particular manner before.

Interesting.)

This much is true, various writers/publications have put forth multiple ideas concerning Netanyahu (and others) state(s) of mind.)

The seven other more evil idolatrous spirits,7 joined with the first, enter into the man and forewarn of the last and worst state of the nation in the great tribulation. Then, destitute of faith, and bereft of God's Spirit, the nation will be the pitiable prey of more numerous, more depraved and destructive demons than at any previous period in its history, and will be held in the grip of a more intense, complete, and tyrannous state of demon possession than ever before. It will be this condition of complete demonic domination and subjugation that will account for the nation's supreme act of idolatry and wickedness, the colossal blunder of making a covenant with the Antichristincurring unparalleled disaster and ruin.

Daniel 9:27

And he will confirm a covenant with many for one week, but in the middle of the week he will put an end to sacrifice and offering. And on the wing of the temple will come the abomination that causes desolation, until the decreed destruction is poured out upon him.”

(Already happened once under

 Antiochus IV Epiphanes

(Our first Syrian King)

destined to happen yet again

The new Syrian leadership has already stated it doesn't want war with Israel.)

The "seven other spirits,"8 whom Jesus characterized as "more evil" (Matt. 12:45), are doubtless to be connected with the demons now imprisoned in the abyss,

(We will see later It's anything but:

Doubtless.)

who, seemingly more depraved and vicious than the free demons-perhaps accounting for their confinement-are let loose in vast numbers (Rev. 9:1-11) to plague and delude all mankind, but constitute "a special judgment upon apostate Israel," as A. C. Gaebelein correctly concludes.9 That these sinister occupants of the abyss direct the ferocity of their horrifying attacks principally against Israel, appears from the command issued to them to hurt "only such men as have not the seal of God on their foreheads" (Rev. 9:4).

(Merrill baby?

Thats everybody that doesnt believe.)

Since the elect of Israel,

the one hundred and forty-four thousand,

are the only people who are thus sealed

 (Rev. 7:3-8),

(Yeah I got a different take, go figure:

John 1:47

When Jesus saw Nathanael approaching, He said of him,

“Here is a true Israelite

in whom there is no guile.”

(He was presumed to be studying

the Torah under a fig tree as Christ approached.)

Thats your 144,000.

True believers

in whom there is no guile.

Ephesians 1:4-5

For he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight. In love he predestined us for adoption to sonship through Jesus Christ, in accordance with his pleasure and will—

And?

Revelation 14:1-5

Also about a group of 144,000

vs 5 states:

And in their mouth was found no guile

for they are without fault before the throne of God.

and thus escape their fury, it is clearly suggested that their assault is aimed primarily against those of whom they form a number. The fact is also apparent in the descriptive name of the angel-custodian, the king of the abyss, given first in Hebrew (Abaddon), and afterwards in Greek (Apollyon),

(How quickly do we forget

GOD HAS DESTROYER ANGELS

Why no mention or reference to:

Exodus 12:13, 23

13 And the blood shall be to you for a token upon the houses where ye are: and when I see the blood, I will pass over you, and the plague shall not be upon you to destroy you, when I smite the land of Egypt.

23 For the Lord will pass through to smite the Egyptians; and when he seeth the blood upon the lintel, and on the two side posts,

the Lord will pass over the door,

and will not suffer the destroyer

to come in unto your houses to smite you.

(Nobody ever suggest the destroyer there was Satanic)

That destroyer, is doing Gods work, not Satan's.

and so are these in

Revelation 9:1-11.

Like I say, its a common mistake that's easy to make,

(We don't wanna think about God having destroyer angels.

and one that's been passed down for some time now.)

indicating that the gigantic demon outburst has to do with the Jew

and also affects the Gentile

(Rev. 9:11).b0

Misc. points :

The author states in

Chapter V Description and Doom of the Demons

1. THE ABYSS - THE ABODE OF THE IMPRISONED DEMONS

Although Scripture mentions the prison of evil spirits, and its multitudinous prisoners, nothing is revealed as to why or when the imprisonment took place. The disimprisonment of its malignant tenants, however, is graphically recounted (Rev. 9:1-11).

The author is getting two different sets of spirit-beings

One demonic, one angelic.

One in one location, one in another,

One released to tell you a new beginning is on its way.

(Reference 8 descriptors Rev 9:7-10)

One held in chains until judgement

(Mankind will do the judging BTW

1 Corinthians 6:3.

Do you not know that we are to judge angels?

How much more, then, matters pertaining to this life!

Or?

He did it on purpose to support his view(s)

Either way?

Same result.

The evil Spirits

"bound in chains"

(imprisoned)

found in

Jude 6

 “The angels

which kept not their first estate

but left their own habitation,

He hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness

unto the judgment of the great day

are kept there until they face judgement.

we find this also in

2 Peter 2:4

For if God did not spare angels when they sinned,

but sent them to hell,[a]

putting them in chains of darkness[b]

 to be held for judgment;

Footnotes

2 Peter 2:4 Greek Tartarus

2 Peter 2:4 Some manuscripts in gloomy dungeons

So how then?

 As the author states:

"The "seven other spirits,"8

whom Jesus characterized as

"more evil"

(Matt. 12:45),

are doubtless

(Hardly)

to be connected with the demons

now imprisoned in the abyss,

who, seemingly more depraved and vicious

than the free demons

-perhaps accounting for their confinement

(Remember that, we will be coming back to it.)

-are let loose in vast numbers

(Rev. 9:1-11

to plague and delude all mankind,

(How are they doing that exactly?

 If they are:

"...reserved in everlasting chains under darkness

unto the judgment of the great day”

??????????)

but constitute "a special judgment upon apostate Israel,"

(Not if they are locked up unto

"the judgement of the great day"

they don't.

As is clearly demonstrated above with scripture?

It has to be two different sets of Spirit beings.)

as A. C. Gaebelein correctly concludes.9 That

these sinister occupants of the abyss

direct the ferocity of their horrifying attacks

principally against Israel,

(Again, quite impossible if:

 they are locked up unto

"the judgement of the great day")

appears from the command issued to them to hurt

"only such men as have not the seal of God on their foreheads"

(Rev. 9:4).

All nonbelievers.

" But Drew buddy?

How are you coming to the conclusion

that the Locust of the deep

in Revelation 9:1-11

are angelic?

Point #1)

Revelation 9:1

The fifth angel sounded his trumpet,

and I saw a star that had fallen from the sky to the earth.

The star was given the key to the shaft of the Abyss

(That star was an angel.

Most likely Uriel who

In the Apocalypse of Peter,

appears as

 "the angel of repentance

who is graphically represented as being as pitiless as any demon."

(Toward unrepentant sinners)

A fallen angel or any other entity besides one doing God will, simply wouldn't have a key to its own prison where Satan himself is to be locked up.

Duh.

Point #1b as it were.

Revelation 20:1-2

And I saw an angel come down from heaven,

having the key of the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand.

2 And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent,

which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years,

As stated above,

"The destroyer"

doing Gods handiwork in

Exodus 12:13, 23

is Godly, not Demonic.

Also:

Point #2)

Revelation 9:7-10

7 [a]The appearance of the locusts was like that of horses ready for battle. On their heads they wore what looked like crowns of gold; their faces were like human faces, 8 and they had hair like women’s hair. Their teeth were like lions’ teeth, 9 and they had chests like iron breastplates. The sound of their wings was like the sound of many horse-drawn chariots racing into battle. 10 They had tails like scorpions, with stingers; with their tails they had power to harm people for five months.

Footnotes

9:7–10 Eight characteristics are listed

to show the eschatological

and diabolical nature of these locusts.

By the power of the Holy Spirit

I reached the same exact conclusion before ever reading that footnote BTW

Nowhere in this book does the Autor ever bring up that point about the eight descriptors. In visions (which Rev 9:1-11 is) we have to be very careful about what we apply literally. Its an awake dream/trance like state.

At least not yet he hasnt brought it up, one chapter yet to go.

Point#3)

"Abaddon, however is an angel not of Satan but of God,

performing his work at Gods bidding."

Interpreters Bible Exegesis on

Rev  9:11

And they had a King over them, which is the Angel of the Bottomless pit, whose name in the Hebrew tongue is Abaddon, but in the Greek tongue hath his name Apollyon.

The author got that right,

as they (Locust of the Deep) are for both:

The non-believing Jew

and the

non-believing Gentile.

One more time from our book:

Chapter V Description and Doom of the Demons

1. THE ABYSS - THE ABODE OF THE IMPRISONED DEMONS

"Although Scripture mentions the prison of evil spirits,

and its multitudinous prisoners,

nothing is revealed

as to why

(I disagree, scripture clearly states that they sinned,

that they left their first estates/habitations

(Their essence or abodes as it were)

They gave up what we are working toward, our immortality)

although it doesn't say in Jude or 2nd Peter

exactly what it was they did.

For that you have to go back to

Genesis 6:1-4.)

or when the imprisonment took place."

In the next paragraph in Chapter V it states:

"The pit of the abyss, from whence these teeming demonic agencies emerge, is not Hades, the abode of the spirits of wicked human beings until the second resurrection, nor Tartarus, the prison house of the fallen angels (II Pet. 2:4; Jude v. 6)

If they aren't located in the same place?

and some are to be considered more evil than others?

(The Locust of the Deep vs

The Angels bound in chains

until judgement)

How then are they:

"doubtless

to be connected with the demons

now imprisoned in the abyss,"

??????

I mean if you cant account for their origin?

Dont know why or how or how long they are in the abysss or how they got there, or who put them there?

Then how are you assuming without backing it up with scripture what their mission is?

Angelic, and warning of a new age coming explains a lot more and matches up a lot better with scripture, eight descriptors, don't harm those with the mark of God etc.)

nor the lake of fire, the final doom of Satan and his angels (Matt. 25:41); but it is the place of the present detention of many fallen spirits, who, for some reason, have been denied the privilege which many of their colleagues enjoy, of ranging at large. To this spiritual goal some of the demons, who once were loose, have been by divine justice and power remanded (Luke 8:31).

HERE THEN ARE

(Some of)

THE ISSUES AT HAND THAT NEED BE RESOLVED:

The "seven other spirits,"8

whom Jesus characterized as "more evil" (Matt. 12:45)

"the demons now imprisoned in the abyss, who, seemingly more depraved and vicious than the free demons-perhaps accounting for their confinement"

"Although Scripture mentions the prison of evil spirits, and its multitudinous prisoners, nothing is revealed as to why or when the imprisonment took place."

Jude 6

“The angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitationHe hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day”

2 Peter 2:4

For if God did not spare angels when they sinnedbut sent them to hell,[a] putting them in chains of darkness[b]to be held for judgment"

"it is the place of the present detention of many fallen spirits, who, for some reason, have been denied the privilege which many of their colleagues enjoy, of ranging at large"

And here is your solution to all of those

issues/questions

 (and more)

about what/why how etc:

GENESIS 6:1-4

King James Version

6 And it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born unto them,

2 That the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose.

3 And the Lord said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years.

4 There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown.

A correct understanding

of the same exact term

"sons of God"

(Look up the Hebrew term if you want

I've done it 1000x already :-).

as it is applied in both:

Job 1:6

6 Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the Lord, and Satan came also among them.

And

Job 38:7

7 When the morning stars sang together,

and all the sons of God shouted for joy?

The term means angels.

You dont get to give it one meaning in one place and another meaning in another place just because you don't like what it says.

That alone solves all the authors problems listed above, as well as explains Jude 6 and 2 Peter 2:4,

Not to mention

it also solves the problem of the uncomfortableness of the scriptures in the old testament where entire tribes/villages had to be exterminated, every man, woman and child.

(Contanmination of the blood line, one of Satans stratagems for trying to defeat Christ before he ever manifest himself in the flesh.)

Explains Goliath and his (4) Brothers were still around post-flood

"There were giants in the earth in those days;

and also after that."

Same exact situation as we are seeing now with AI.)

It gives God the Moral justification for wipeing out his creation.

"First, it should be established that the first solution (Angel view) was held UNANIMOUSLY until the second century A.D. Every Jewish text, from the apocryphal Book of Enoch to the writings of Josephus, including most of the rabbinical writers and all of the intertestamental Jewish literature, held that the account of Genesis 6 referred to fallen angels. So did the oldest church fathers—Justin, Tertullian, Cyprian, Ambrose, and Lactantius."

Somewhere around here in my mess of notes from the Noah to New Earth Series I got the complete list of all the early Church fathers who held this view.

The Angel View of Genesis 6:

"was held UNANIMOUSLY until the second century A.D.

From earlier in this chapter:

A. THE DEMONOLOGY OF THE LAST DAYS AND THE CHURCH

From its very birth in the riven side of a crucified and risen Lord, the Church of the living God, as the body of Christ (Eph. 1:23), and "the pillar and ground of the truth" (I Tim. 3:15), has ever been the object of Satan's most venemous attacks and the special target of demonic malignity. Scarcely had the infant Church been born when Satan loosed a storm of persecution against it to stamp out its very life (Acts 4:3; 5:18; 8:1). Failing in this, he stirred up false teachers

(Sethian view of Genesis 6 much?)

to harass the Apostles in their work of spreading Christianity. What Satan failed to do by schismatics and heretics, he tried to accomplish by fire, sword, and death in the first three centuries, but with as little success.

I'll defend the angel view

Do you really wanna defend the Sethian one?

"It should also be pointed out that most conservative Bible scholars accept the "angel" view. Among those supporting the "angel" view are: G. H. Pember, M. R. DeHaan, C. H. McIntosh, F. Delitzsch, A. C. Gaebelein, A. W. Pink, Donald Grey Barnhouse, Henry Morris, Merril F. Unger, Arnold Fruchtenbaum, Hal Lindsey, and Chuck Smith, being among the best known."

(Unger must have changed his position sometime after writing his book on Biblical Demonology, because as clearly demonstrated? It is not the view presented.)

Job 14:7-9

“For there is hope for a tree, if it be cut down, that it will sprout again, and that its shoots will not cease. Though its root grow old in the earth, and its stump die in the soil, yet at the scent of water it will bud and put out branches like a young plant.

Bringing ancient back yo...

One soul at a time
if that's what it takes...

And oh yeah, my assumption at the beginning of this piece was correct, not one word about the Ethiopian Jews who accepted Christ.

Epiphany

celebrated in Ethiopia.

So when you get done splaining the Sethian view of Genesis 6:1-4 to me? You can explain to me who gets the inner court of Gods temple.

Revelation 11:1-2

And there was given me a reed like unto a rod: and the angel stood, saying, Rise, and measure the temple of God, and the altar, and them that worship therein.

2 But the court which is without the temple leave out, and measure it not; for it is given unto the Gentiles: and the holy city shall they tread under foot forty and two months.

Goodness knows I got my own thoughts on the subject.

Peace yall.

Love ya everybody.
