came up with a new term lol.
"Pussycrats"
Dems that are to scared to move to the left lol.
Not center-left, which these days is where center-right used to be when I was growing up, leftist.
Economic Populist for real, not this fake billionaire pull the hair over everybody's eyes bullshit.
Sanders "Medicaid for all" bill had 18 Dems sign on in support. That was twice as much as they thought they would get. It's still not near enough. The Democratic Senators that didn't sign on? They are way out of touch with the populace, still haven't learned a thing from Hillarys loss. Speaking of which, please just shut up the fuck up and go home Hillary, you lost because: 1) You were a horrible candidate 2) You ran a horrible campaign. There, who needs a book to explain it? This millennial generation? They've seen unfettered, unregulated capitalism, they've seen what it's done to their families, their fathers, the mothers, aunt and uncles, with their homes and whole communities tossed aside like roadkill. They're not very fond of it. Anyway :-), the Senators that didn't sign on to Sanders bill? They have no clue where things are headed. None. Way to concerned about reelection to hold fast to any sort of conviction. "Hey, center-right is still left of the teabaggers right?" It's not good enough any more. I read this thing the other day, Republicans are twice as likely to call themselves "Conservative" as Democrats are to call themselves "Liberal". I'm sorry, but if this country was founded on "Conservative principals"? We would still be subjects of the queen. Time to switch the narrative.
Here's what I think is going to happen.
Know how "Moderate Republicans"in solid (gerrymandered) districts fear a challenge from a tea-partier in the primary more than they do a Democrat in the general? It's exactly what's going to happen to these Dems who don't support progressive policies. They are going to be challenged and defeated by candidates that are to their left and defeated in the primaries.
Own what you are, don't run from it.
Peace y'all.
