he (John Kirby, White House National Security Advisor) told reporters Thursday. “We’re going to work with industry to see what we can see we can find out, but right now, we’re being told AT&T has no reason to think that this was a cybersecurity incident.”

Yeah...sure...go with that.

"On Jan. 31, FBI Director Christopher Wray testified before Congress, explaining how Chinese government hackers were trying “to find and prepare to destroy or degrade the civilian critical infrastructure that keeps us safe and prosperous.” 

These hackers, Wray continued, “are positioning on American infrastructure in preparation to wreak havoc and cause real-world harm to American citizens and communities, if or when China decides the time has come to strike.”

Translation?

They are in so deep such that there is nothing we can do to get them out otherwise they wouldn't be able to be:

"posistioning".

(Been sayin it for years now, them, The Russians, The Iranians, this shit is over before it even starts and it aint gonna be good for the home team folks.)
