DEAR CHURCH (All of em)

 How far have we strayed?

SERIOUSLY?

James 2:1-13

"Favoritism forbidden."

(And quite the message

on this scripture

by Pastor Bridgette

yesterday.)

2 My brethren, have not the faith of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Lord of glory,

with respect of persons.

2 For if there come unto your assembly a man with a gold ring, in goodly apparel, and there come in also a poor man in vile raiment;

3 And ye have respect to him that weareth the gay (fancy) clothing, and say unto him, Sit thou here in a good place; and say to the poor, Stand thou there, or sit here under my footstool:

4 Are ye not then partial in yourselves, and are become judges of evil thoughts?

(remember those two words highlighted in red.)

5 Hearken, my beloved brethren,

Hath not God chosen

the poor of this world

rich in faith

and heirs of the kingdom

which he hath promised

to them that love him?

(Many are called, few are chosen

Matt 22:14)

6 But ye have despised the poor.

(Sound like our country much?

"Well they got what they deserved..."

 etc.

Yeah...right...

What about when your time comes?

"Well I wouldn't let it...blah blah blah."

You are delusional

and you are kidding yourselves

with that kinda mindset.

Translation for all who might say it to themselves:

"IT CANT HAPPEN TO ME!

IM ME!

AND GOD WOULDNT...

BLAH BLAH BLAH."

And preachers actually have preached that kinda crap?

NEWSFLASH:

YOU MAY NOT HAVE A CHOICE.

YOU ARE NOT IN CHARGE.

DID I MENTION?

THERES A CHINESE SUB AND AN AIRCRAFT CARRIER

CURRENTLY IN THE VICENITY OF TAIWAIN?

KEEP THINKING ITS ALL ABOUT YOU/US

AND WHAT YOU/WE DO.

ANYBODY CAN HAVE FAITH IN THE GOOD TIMES.

Lets see where you stand when the rubber hits the road.

JOB 2:10

"...if we accept blessings from God,

we must accept trouble as well."

And the fact of the matter is?

A lot of people aint gonna

"accept trouble as well".

I was telling honey the other day:

"You know how you know its coming?"

"How?"

"Cause this country has been spoiled

for far to long.")

"Do not rich men oppress you, and draw you before the judgment seats?"

(We have become slaves to our debtors.

Let everybody who aint one come forth...

Exactly.)

7 Do not they blaspheme that worthy name by the which ye are called?

8 If ye fulfil the royal law according to the scripture,

Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself,

ye do well:

(Notice it didnt say:

"Except for that group"

Or

"except members of that political party"

Or just not "that race"

or

"that socioeconomic status."

Here is how you can tell

a true Christian from a pretender:

"Thou shalt love thy neighbour"

And?

YOU WILL KNOW THEM BY THEIR FRUITS.

MATT 7:16.

Period.

9 But if ye have respect to persons, ye commit sin, and are convinced of the law as transgressors.

(Nobody is better than anybody, no matter how much they read their bible, go to church pray etc, and if you think you are? You just broke the royal law. And if you think being in close proximity to righteousness is gonna do you any good?

Go ask Lot about that.

Abraham had to rescue him twice basically.

Abrahams righteousness

(or anybody's for that matter)

wasnt his

it was Gods shown through him.)

10 For whosoever shall keep the whole law,

and yet offend in one point,

he is guilty of all.

(Translation?

All of us are guilty

and unworthy.

you cant do it on your own.

Besides

the debt has already been paid.

On the cross.)

11 For he that said, Do not commit adultery, said also, Do not kill. Now if thou commit no adultery, yet if thou kill, thou art become a transgressor of the law.

12 So speak ye, and so do, as they that shall be judged by the law of liberty.

13 For he shall have judgment without mercy, that hath shewed no mercy; and mercy rejoiceth against judgment.

MERCY

OVER

JUDGEMENT.

I try and read the scripture before we get started in worship

so I have some kind of idea about the message.

(Others in our congregation do so as well.)

When I read the passage for yesterday?

(John 2:1-13 abpve)

This is what immediately popped in my head:

"Every man got a right to decide his own destiny

And in this judgment there is no partiality."

John 2:4

Are ye not then partial in yourselves,

and are become judges of evil thoughts?

Song goes on to say:

"Soon we'll find out who is the real revolutionary

'Cause I don't want my people to be contrary

And, brother, you're right, you're right

You're right, you're right, you're so right"

You already know who.

Also?
This song came to mind:

(Saw them a few years back in Evansville.
Good show.
Good message.)

It's crowded in worship today
As she slips in trying to fade into the faces
The girl's teasing laughter is carrying farther than they know
Farther than they know

But if we are the body
Why aren't His arms reaching?
Why aren't His hands healing?
Why aren't His words teaching?

And if we are the body
Why aren't His feet going?
Why is His love not showing them there is a way?
There is a way

A traveler is far away from home
He sheds His coat and quietly sinks into the back row
The weight of their judgmental glances
Tells him that His chances are better out on the road

But if we are the body
Why aren't His arms reaching?
Why aren't His hands healing?
Why aren't His words teaching?

And if we are the body
Why aren't His feet going?
Why is His love not showing them there is a way?

Jesus paid much too high a price
For us to pick and choose who should come
And we are the body of Christ
If we are the body
Why aren't His arms reaching?
Why aren't His hands healing?
Why aren't His words teaching?

And if we are the body
Why aren't His feet going?
Why is His love not showing them there is a way?

If we are the body
Why aren't His arms reaching?
Why aren't His hands healing?
Why aren't His words teaching?

And if we are the body
Why aren't His feet going?
Why is His love not showing them there is a way?
Jesus is the way
Ooh, ooh
Ooh, ooh

THAT WAS RELEASED 22 YEARS AGO.
THINGS HAVE ONLY CONTINUED
TO GET WORSE
EVER SINCE.

To paraphrase Bishop Mari

"Satan is devouring us."

"So Dear Church

(all of em)

 How far have we strayed?

SERIOUSLY?"

(And a big TY to Pastor Bridgette

for the message yesterday

and the motivation behind this piece.)

PEOPLE BETTER WAKE UP.

Yesterdays

Hezbollah/IDF skirmish.

Not even the tip of the iceberg.
