CHAPTER XII
BIBLICAL DEMONOLOGY AND ESCHATOLOGY
C. THE DEMONOLOGY OF THE LAST DAYS
AND THE JEW
Direct and potent demonic activity and deception can be discerned in every phase of the Jewish rejection of the Lord Jesus Christ, their Messiah, at His first advent. The venomous hatred of the scribes and the Pharisees, their secret and underhand plottings, the fraud and the crooked methods resorted to in His trial, His unjust condemnation, and shameful death-all bear the unmistakable stigma of demonic treachery. The insensate cry of the populace, "His blood be on us, and on our children" (Matt. 27:25), and the blindness which has rested on Jewish hearts down through the Christian centuries (Rom. 11:25), prove the grip that demon power has over this people. But, however great Jewish deception and demon domination have been in the past, the full force and manifestation of demonic tyranny, as in the case of unbelieving Gentiles, will not be reached until the last awful days of this dispensation, just preceding the second advent of the Messiah.
1. DEMONISM AND LAST-DAY JEWISH UNBELIEF
It was very significant prophecy which Jesus uttered concerning the abysmal delusion which would be the penalty for Jewish skepticism in the last days. ."I am come in my Father's name, and ye receive me not: if another shall come in his own name, him ye will receive" (John 5:43). Refusing the light, they will accept gross darkness. Rejecting the true Christ, they will welcome the false one, even him "whose coming is according to the working of Satan with all power, and signs, and lying wonders" (II Thess. 2:9), who "opposeth and exalteth himself against all that is called God or that is worshipped; so that he sitteth in the temple of God, setting himself forth as God" (II Thess. 2:4).
Regathered to their homeland, established there as a nation in unbelief, with a rebuilt temple, and a reinstated Judaism, under demon tutelage and imposture, they will make a league with the Antichrist at the beginning of the amazing final seven years of this age (Dan. 9:27). The ungodly alliance will prove a covenant with "death and hell" (Isa. 28:18), for in the middle of the period the false, flattering Messiah will break his agreement, sit in the temple, demanding worship for the image he will set up, and for himself. The cruel and terrible "abomination of desolation, (Matt. 24:15) will mark the commencement of the most intense and diabolical persecution of the Jew the world has yet seen, the horrible "time of Jacob's trouble" (Jer. 30:7). Through the fiery ordeal of death and desolation, the nation will be made to see its supreme folly and crime in rejecting its true Messiah, and choosing the false one. Through the refining crucible they will learn the deadly power of demonic delusion, and in their dire extremity, will turn their eyes heavenward, and cry for their true deliverer, as the godless demon-led armies close in to destroy them completely from the face of the earth. When their Messiah breaks through the heavens in unspeakable glory, the scales will at last fall from their blinded eyes, and when they look upon Him whom they have pierced, they will recognize Him not only as the Messiah, the King of kings and Lord of lords, but as the meek and lowly Jesus of Nazareth, whom they slew on Golgotha's brow. Unbelief will give way to radiant faith, and hardness of heart to great mourning and "the spirit of grace and supplications" (Zech. 12:10).
2. DEMONISM AND LAST-DAY JEWISH DEMONIC POSSESSION
The twelfth chapter of Matthew is a scathing exposure of the wickedness and gross unbelief of the Jews in rejecting and slandering their King and Messiah. Their dreadful guilt in repudiating divinely attested truth, in refusing inward light, and thus sinning against the Holy Spirit, made them more culpable than the ancient heathen (Matt. 12:38-42), and furnishes the background and occasion for Jesus' vivid prophetic parable incisively emphasizing the appalling fact, that, although the nation was then wicked, in the future it would become even more so.
Using the graphic and significant figure of a demoniac, Jesus sketches in that chapter the history of the Jewish people (Matt. 12:43-45). The illustration begins at the point of dispossession. "But the unclean spirit, when he is gone out of the man, passeth through waterless places, seeking rest, and findeth it not" (v. 43). The demon-possessed man represents, according to the scope of the passage indicated by our Lord himself, "this evil generation" (v. 45). The reference to "race" (genea) is clearly to the Jewish nation, which had so signally exhibited its crime, and so deservedly merited the epithet "evil" in its abysmal unbelief and deliberate rejection of its rightful Messiah. The man in the original demonized state speaks of the nation "from the time of the Exodus to the period of the Captivity," when the worship of other gods exercised a strange and horrible fascination over the people," and "deprived them . . . of light, reason, and the true freedom of will," so that they were enslaved and possessed by the "unclean spirit" of idolatry. The expulsion of the demon from the man suggests the departure of the unclean spirit of idolatry from the nation after the exile, when, not so much by the teaching of the prophets as by that of the scribes and the Pharisees, idolatory seemed banished forever. The house, "empty, swept, and garnished" (v. 44), describes the condition of the Jews under their freedom from idolatry and with their moral and social improvements. However, the arresting word is "empty." The nation was (and is) undeniably improved in certain ways, "swept clean, and in good order." But the calamitous thing is that it was (and is) "empty," unoccupied by God's Spirit, unpossessed by a living faith, and uncontrolled by any genuine spiritual life. The resulting improvements are of no avail, and are to be swept away.
The seven other more evil idolatrous spirits, joined with the first, enter into the man and forewarn of the last and worst state of the nation in the great tribulation. Then, destitute of faith, and bereft of God's Spirit, the nation will be the pitiable prey of more numerous, more depraved and destructive demons than at any previous period in its history, and will be held in the grip of a more intense, complete, and tyrannous state of demon possession than ever before. It will be this condition of complete demonic domination and subjugation that will account for the nation's supreme act of idolatry and wickedness, the colossal blunder of making a covenant with the Antichrist, incurring unparalleled disaster and ruin.
The "seven other spirits," whom Jesus characterized as "more evil" (Matt. 12:45), are doubtless to be connected with the demons now imprisoned in the abyss, who, seemingly more depraved and vicious than the free demons-perhaps accounting for their confinement-are let loose in vast numbers (Rev. 9:1-11) to plague and delude all mankind, but constitute "a special judgment upon apostate Israel," as A. C. Gaebelein correctly concludes. That these sinister occupants of the abyss direct the ferocity of their horrifying attacks principally against Israel, appears from the command issued to them to hurt "only such men as have not the seal of God on their foreheads" (Rev. 9:4). Since the elect of Israel, the one hundred and forty-four thousand, are the only people who are thus sealed (Rev. 7:3-8), and thus escape their fury, it is clearly suggested that their assault is aimed primarily against those of whom they form a number. The fact is also apparent in the descriptive name of the angel-custodian, the king of the abyss, given first in Hebrew (Abaddon), and afterwards in Greek (Apollyon), indicating that the gigantic demon outburst has to do with the Jew and also affects the Gentile (Rev. 9:11).

BIBLICAL DEMONOLOGY AND ESCHATOLOGY
THE DEMONOLOGY OF THE LAST DAYS AND THE JEW
But the main point would is:
"The seven other more evil idolatrous spirits, joined with the first, enter into the man and forewarn of the last and worst state of the nation in the great tribulation. Then, destitute of faith, and bereft of God's Spirit, the nation will be the pitiable prey of more numerous, more depraved and destructive demons than at any previous period in its history, and will be held in the grip of a more intense, complete, and tyrannous state of demon possession than ever before."
(Which would be where we are right now.)
Now to the articles:
Trump's team frets about Netanyahu
Axios 7/20/25
"As smoke and debris swirled over the Syrian presidential palace, the chatter in the West Wing grew louder: Benjamin Netanyahu is out of control."
"What they're saying:
"Bibi acted like a madman. He bombs everything all the time," one White House official told Axios, referring to Netanyahu by his nickname. "This could undermine what Trump is trying to do."
"A second senior U.S. official also pointed to the shelling of a church in Gaza this week, which led President Trump to call Netanyahu and demand an explanation. "The feeling is that every day there is something new. What the f***?"
"Why it matters:
Six U.S. officials tell Axios that despite a U.S.-brokered ceasefire that halted this week's escalation in Syria on Friday, this week ended with the White House significantly more alarmed about Netanyahu and his regional policies."
"However, Trump has so far refrained from public criticism and it's unclear if he shares his advisers' frustrations. It is not totally clear whether he shares his advisers' recent concerns about Israel's actions in Syria."
"Driving the news:
On Tuesday, Israel bombed a convoy of Syrian army tanks en route to the city of Suwayda to respond to violent clashes between a Druze militia and armed Bedouin tribesmen, which had killed over 700 people as of Saturday according to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights."
"Israel claimed the convoy crossed into a zone of southern Syria it demands be demilitarized, and that the Syrian military was participating in attacks on the Druze minority, which Syria denies."
"U.S. envoy Tom Barrack asked his Israeli counterparts on Tuesday to stand down to allow for a diplomatic resolution, and the Israelis committed to do so, according to a U.S. official."
"Instead, after a pause, Israel escalated the strikes. On Wednesday, Israel dropped bombs on Syria's military headquarters and near the presidential palace."
"Friction point:
"The bombing in Syria caught the president and the White House by surprise. The president doesn't like turning on the television and seeing bombs dropped in a country he is seeking peace in and made a monumental announcement to help rebuild," a U.S. official said."
"Secretary of State Marco Rubio told Netanyahu and his team to stop on Wednesday."
"Netanyahu agreed to do so in return for the Syrian military withdrawing from Suwayda."
"But by then countries including Turkey and Saudi Arabia had conveyed angry messages to the Trump administration about Israel's actions, and several senior U.S. officials had complained directly to Trump about Netanyahu."
("Turkey and Saudi Arabia"
I said before, you weaken Iran
these two become the dominate plyers in the region.
Turkey has the military and the Saudis have the $.
I know who I would put my $ on.)
"Another U.S. official said the damage the Israelis had done to their standing at the White House over the past week didn't seem to be breaking through to them. "The Israelis need to get their head out of their asses," the official quipped."
(Newsflash:
They just dont give a %$#^.)
"In addition to Syria and the attack on the church in Gaza, the murder of Palestinian American Saif Musallet by a mob of Israeli settlers last weekend also sparked pushback from the Trump administration toward Netanyahu's stridently pro-settler government."
"Amb. Mike Huckabee, who days earlier had visited Netanyahu's corruption trial in a show of support, released a series of statements calling the attack "terrorism" and demanding answers. On Saturday, he also visited a Christian community in the West Bank that had been targeted by settler attacks."
"Huckabee, long an effusive supporter of Israel, also criticized the Israeli government this week for making it harder for American evangelicals to obtain travel visas."
"The big picture:
This was hardly the first time Netanyahu tested Trump's patience."
"His gamble that Trump would ultimately back his strikes on Iran paid off in dramatic fashion."
"He's pressed on in Gaza for months despite
Trump's desire for an end to the war."
(Gotta remember who he is:
Perhaps he is just paying lip service as well?
Just like:
does.)
"In Syria, he bet once again that he could escalate dramatically without destabilizing the region or his relationship with Trump."
"And
Trump aides have become more and more
aware in recent months of the influence
far-right Jewish supremacist elements
in Netanyahu's coalition have on policy.
This dynamic has also become more evident to the broader MAGA movement.

The bottom line:

Israeli forces kill 115 Palestinians in Gaza
Al-Jazeera 7/20/25
"Israeli forces have killed at least 115 Palestinians across Gaza, including 92 people who were shot dead while trying to get food at the Zikim crossing in the north and aid points in Rafah and Khan Younis in the south."
"The killings on Sunday came as Israel’s continued siege of Gaza worsened a hunger crisis, with health authorities there announcing at least 19 deaths from starvation over the past day."
“We saw this young man lying on the ground, and we were the ones who carried him on the bicycle. We’re trying to get him to help. But there is nothing,” Betaar said. “There are no ambulances, no food, no life, no way to live any more. We’re barely hanging on.”
"Israel’s military acknowledged the attack, saying it had fired “warning shots to remove an immediate threat posed to the troops” in northern Gaza. It did not, however, provide evidence or details of the alleged threat."
"The UN’s World Food Programme (WFP) issued a statement that disputed the Israeli account, saying the victims were simply people “trying to access food to feed themselves and their families on the brink of starvation”.
"It said the Israeli shootings happened just after a convoy of 25 trucks carrying food assistance crossed the Zikim point."
“Shortly after passing the final checkpoint… the convoy encountered large crowds of civilians anxiously waiting to access desperately needed food supplies,” the agency said. “As the convoy approached, the surrounding crowd came under fire from Israeli tanks, snipers and other gunfire.”
"The violence came despite assurances from Israel that operational conditions for humanitarian agencies in Gaza would improve, the WFP said, including that armed forces would not be present nor engage along convoy routes.'
“Gaza’s hunger crisis has reached new levels of desperation. People are dying from lack of humanitarian assistance. Malnutrition is surging with 90,000 women and children in urgent need of treatment. Nearly one person in three is not eating for days,” the WFP warned."
“Only a massive scale-up in food aid distributions can stabilise this spiraling situation, calm anxieties and rebuild the trust within communities that more food is coming,” it added.
Al Jazeera’s Hind Khoudary, reporting from central Gaza, said that a 35-day-old baby in Gaza City and a four-month-old child in Deir el-Balah had died of malnutrition at Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital.
“The mother was touching her body, saying, ‘I am sorry I could not feed you,'” Khoudary said.
"The killings brought the number of Palestinians killed at or near GHF sites since May to nearly 1,000 people."
"The UN and humanitarian aid agencies have long denounced the GHF for its “weaponisation” of aid in Gaza and called on Israel to allow the entry of other humanitarian assistance, which has been blocked from entering the enclave."
“All man-made, in total impunity. Food is available only a few kilometres away,” he wrote on X, adding that UNRWA has enough supplies at the border to feed Gaza for three months."
"But Israel has been blocking aid since March 2."
“The escalating massacres of starving Palestinian women, children and men murdered with US-supplied weapons and with the complicity of our government as they desperately search for food to feed their families is not only a human tragedy, it is also an indictment of a Western political order that has enabled this genocide through inaction and indifference,” said Nihad Awad, CAIR’s national executive director."
“Western governments cannot claim ignorance. They are watching in real time as innocent civilians are intentionally starved, forcibly displaced, and slaughtered – and are choosing to do nothing. History will long remember the Western world’s indifference to the forced starvation, ethnic cleansing and genocide in Gaza.”
“We are heading into the unknown. Malnutrition among children has reached its highest levels,” he said, warning of a looming disaster if aid is not allowed in immediately."
