Thats its reserve currency status is just a "sliver" of GDP?
What happens to your GDP when your currency isn't worth the paper it's written on exactly?
And why did we bother building all those military bases around the world for if the $'s reserve currency status doesn't matter?
I grew up post Vietnam.
I watched POW's getting off the planes on TV when they arrived home.
I just never drank that Kool-Aid that it was all about our "Freedom".
