Yeah so

gonna get back to this for a minute.

Follow the bouncing ball if you will.

And again, I am not picking on Southern Baptist or Charles Stanley by any means. I'm on record as saying the United Methodist Church had suffered a Satanic hostile take over by making congregations PAY to leave if they didn't believe:

Just trying to explain how we got where we are today

and hopefully some will come to the understanding

 that everything

is unfurling EXACTLY

as God's will dictates.

Not ours.

New Right Finally Gains Control Of Huge Southern Baptist Convention

(WP June 14, 1986)

"The victory Tuesday of Rogers, a Memphis pastor, in a heated contest for the SBC presidency not only affirmed conservative domination of the elective offices, but

it guaranteed success

for the long-range goal

of the denomination's right wing

to take over

the massive publishing and academic empire serving 14.5 million members."

That was  1986.

Remember:

"Stanley served two one-year terms as president of the Southern Baptist Convention in 1985 and 1986, at the peak of a time when theological conservatives were fighting to oust more moderate leaders from leadership roles in the convention and its seminaries, saying the church needed to be truer to Biblical authority."

That was from:

Charles Stanley, influential Baptist preacher, dies at 90

(April 18, 2023)

Gonna prove my point but I gotta take a pretty good detour to prove it :-). Just buckle up and hold tight and I'll try to put it all together and make my point. Wish me luck lol...

First?

First we gotta go here, and go through the whole thing. So ty Got Questions for doing all the "legwork" so to speak, I dont agree with them on every lil thing, but this is very much on point and we all as Christian should attempt to have some kinda of minimum understanding of it, and it ties back in to my point...eventually lol.

Okay entire thing:

What are the seventy weeks of Daniel?

"ANSWER

The “seventy weeks” prophecy is one of the most significant and detailed Messianic prophecies of the Old Testament. It is found in Daniel 9. The chapter begins with Daniel praying for Israel, acknowledging the nation’s sins against God and asking for God’s mercy. As Daniel prayed, the angel Gabriel appeared to him and gave him a vision of Israel’s future.

The Divisions of the 70 Weeks

In verse 24, Gabriel says, “Seventy ‘sevens’ are decreed for your people and your holy city.” Almost all commentators agree that the seventy “sevens” should be understood as seventy “weeks” of years, in other words, a period of 490 years. These verses provide a sort of “clock” that gives an idea of when the Messiah would come and some of the events that would accompany His appearance.

The prophecy goes on to divide the 490 years into three smaller units: one of 49 years, one of 434 years, and one 7 years. The final “week” of 7 years is further divided in half. Verse 25 says, “From the time the word goes out to restore and rebuild Jerusalem until the Anointed One, the ruler, comes, there will be seven ‘sevens,’ and sixty-two ‘sevens.’” Seven “sevens” is 49 years, and sixty-two “sevens” is another 434 years:

49 years + 434 years = 483 years

The Purpose of the 70 Weeks

"The prophecy contains a statement concerning God’s six-fold purpose in bringing these events to pass. Verse 24 says this purpose is:

 1) “to finish transgression,”

2) “to put an end to sin,”

3) “to atone for wickedness,”

4) “to bring in everlasting righteousness,”

5) “to seal up vision and prophecy,” and

6) “to anoint the most holy.”

Notice that these results concern the total eradication of sin and the establishing of righteousness. The prophecy of the 70 weeks summarizes what happens before Jesus sets up His millennial kingdom. Of special note is the third in the list of results: “to atone for wickedness.” Jesus accomplished the atonement for sin by His death on the cross (Romans 3:25; Hebrews 2:17).

The Fulfillment of the 70 Weeks

Gabriel said the prophetic clock would start at the time that a decree was issued to rebuild Jerusalem. From the date of that decree to the time of the Messiah would be 483 years. We know from history that the command to “restore and rebuild Jerusalem” was given by King Artaxerxes of Persia c. 444 B.C. (see Nehemiah 2:1-8).

The first unit of 49 years (seven “sevens”) covers the time that it took to rebuild Jerusalem, “with streets and a trench, but in times of trouble” (Daniel 9:25). This rebuilding is chronicled in the book of Nehemiah.

Converting the 360-day year used by the ancient Jews, 483 years becomes 476 years on our solar calendar. Adjusting for the switch from B.C. to A.D., 476 years after 444 B.C. places us at A.D. 33, which would coincide with Jesus’ triumphal entry into Jerusalem (Matthew 21:1–9). The prophecy in Daniel 9 specifies that, after the completion of the 483 years, “the Anointed One will be cut off” (verse 26). This was fulfilled when Jesus was crucified.

Daniel 9:26 continues with a prediction that, after the Messiah is killed, “the people of the ruler who will come will destroy the city and the sanctuary.” This was fulfilled with the destruction of Jerusalem in A.D. 70. The “ruler who will come” is a reference to the Antichrist, who, it seems, will have some connection with Rome, since it was the Romans who destroyed Jerusalem.

(Okay here I gotta completely disagree and this has been propagated like its the absolute truth. The Romans destroyed the city of Jerusalem, but according to Roman-Jewish Historian Josephus? It was Turkish Roman Legion conscripts from Antioch (Thats a whole nuther story but that's to much of a detour for right now, maybe another day) who destroyed the temple even though they were given orders not to. The synthetic humanoid quantum powered holographic AI that will be the antichrist? Wont have some connection with Rome, it will have a connection with Turkey.)

The Final Week of the 70 Weeks

Of the 70 “sevens,” 69 have been fulfilled in history. This leaves one more “seven” yet to be fulfilled. Most scholars believe that we are now living in a huge gap between the 69th week and the 70th week. The prophetic clock has been paused, as it were. The final “seven” of Daniel is what we usually call the tribulation period."

(I watched my favorite evangelist do a thing on this and one of the comments on the Video I watched said something to the effect of: 'Well of course there's one "seven" of undeterminable length, they can make this fit in where ever they want to, why does one have to be so long for? It's preposterous etc. etc...You have to keep in mind that the sixth "seven" started after the messiah was cut off (Crucified) (Daniel 9:26). And here is why there is a "pause" of  undeterminable length, right before the "final seven" the tribulation period.

2 Peter 3:9

The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise,

as some understand slowness.

Instead he is patient with you,

not wanting anyone to perish,

but everyone to come to repentance.

2 Peter 3:15

Bear in mind that our Lord’s patience means salvation

just as our dear brother Paul also wrote you with the wisdom that God gave him.

He's giving everyone as much of a chance/time as he can for everyone to make a decision,

before what has already been decreed is gonna happen.)

Daniel’s prophecy reveals some of the actions of the Antichrist, the “ruler who will come.” Verse 27 says, “He will confirm a covenant with many for one ‘seven.’” However, “in the middle of the ‘seven,’ . . . he will set up an abomination that causes desolation in the temple. Jesus warned of this event in Matthew 24:15. After the Antichrist breaks the covenant with Israel, a time of “great tribulation” begins (Matthew 24:21, NKJV).

(That is right in the middle of the last "seven".

Daniel also predicts that the Antichrist will face judgment. He only rules “until the end that is decreed is poured out on him” (Daniel 9:27). God will only allow evil to go so far, and the judgment the Antichrist will face has already been planned out.

Conclusion

The prophecy of the 70 weeks is complex and amazingly detailed, and much has been written about it. Of course, there are various interpretations, but what we have presented here is the dispensational, premillennial view. One thing is certain: God has a time table, and He is keeping things on schedule. He knows the end from the beginning (Isaiah 46:10), and we should always be looking for the triumphant return of our Lord (Revelation 22:7).

(I'm a "Blended" premillennialist I suppose lol. I apply different parts of both Historic and Dispensational premillennialism. Go figure right? :-).

Okay so :-).

That was only four verses.

(Daniel 9: 24-27)

Like how much more

could be poured out in only four verses?

Point is?

Thats a lot!

Tons! Of things going on there.

Enough for it's very own bible study of 13 sessions one could argue.

Okay so let that all sink in for a minute,

and then lets consider:

I saw this laying on the table at a pastor friend of mines church a while back. I  was never so excited about a bible study book in my life. I couldn't wait to get home to read it, see how they viewed Daniel 9:24-27 (The "seventy sevens.")

I was never so disappointed in a bible study book in my life either.

It's hard to see but it's listed in the bottom:

Session 13 Confession made (Daniel 9:4-19)
That's where it stops. Right there, Chapter 9 verse 19.

It stopped.
Right before the seventy sevens started. I mean the very verse before.

Why would anybody do that?
How in the world...
could you have a bible study on Daniel?
And leave out the seventy sevens?

A lil Elijah came out of me.
I promise you it did.

I emailed Mike Livingston
whom the book list as it's
"content editor"
I most certainly did.

to:Mike.Livingston@lifeway.com
date: Dec 9, 2022, 3:15 PM
subject: Daniel Bible Study.
mailed-by: @gmail.com

"The fact that you would leave out Daniel 9:20-27 and work in some worthless pro life drivel entirely out of context tells me everything I need to know about you and your organization.

You dont just "accidentally" or "Not relevant"
and therefore leave out 9:20-27."

(I have argued and I will continue to argue that the "pro-life" movement and the churches focus on homosexuality was a satanic diversion that kept the churches eyes off of what was important, namely studding biblical prophecy. And that right here is a stunning example of just that.

I'm entering that as exhibit #2. The first being we are going to give rights to "unborn life" Yeah...AI. Wait and see.

Anyway, Sometimes we say more by what we dont do,  that we know we should have done,
than we do
by doing the things we do.

Discernment, knowing what is being said by wats not being said/included etc.)

email I sent continued:

Love to hear an explanation for this.

In this day and age when so many
are so ignorant about biblical prophecy?
To intentionally leave that out?

Inexcusable, and if you try to excuse it?
You'll just dig a deeper and deeper hole for yourself. promise.

Regards."

The problem(s) here are many.

But one of the big ones I have is, everybody who completes this particular bible study? Is going to think they know all about the book of Daniel, even though they SKIPPED ONE OF if not THE MOST IMPORTANT PART! NOT ONLY IN DANIEL, BUT THE ENTIRE OLD TESTAMENT!

"The “seventy weeks” prophecy is one of the most significant and detailed Messianic prophecies of the Old Testament."

How is that not deceptive exactly?

So?
after I read this:

"The victory Tuesday of Rogers, a Memphis pastor, in a heated contest for the SBC presidency not only affirmed conservative domination of the elective offices, but it guaranteed success for the long-range goal of the denomination's right wing to take over the massive publishing and academic empire serving 14.5 million members."

I went and got the name of the publisher, Lifeway ministries from the study book on the book of Daniel and confirmed for sure who owned them but the fact was I already knew I just wanted confirmation.

"An entity of the Southern Baptist Convention, Lifeway is a religious nonprofit organization"

So ask yourself:

Is leaving out
"one of the most significant and detailed Messianic prophecies of the Old Testament"
(and the only one that calls Christ "The messiah" btw)
in anyway indicative of:

"the church needed to be truer to Biblical authority"

or is it more inline with:

"not only affirmed conservative domination of the elective offices, but it guaranteed success for the long-range goal of the denomination's right wing to take over the massive publishing and academic empire serving 14.5 million member."

And now you know why they did what they did.

If you are going to be up to no good?
Particularly with regards to money?
Would you not want to sack all of those who would oppose you from the begining?
It's exactly what they did.

And besides:

Matthew 7:17-20

A good tree produces good fruit, and a bad tree produces bad fruit. A good tree can’t produce bad fruit, and a bad tree can’t produce good fruit. So every tree that does not produce good fruit is chopped down and thrown into the fire. Yes, just as you can identify a tree by its fruit, so you can identify people by their actions."

(Back in the day my dad sure did know...
and yes that's religion in America not just the SBC.)

So?

Throw in a satanic hostile taker over of the United Methodist Church?

(It's not about somebody's sexual orientation BTW and if they wanna come to church or not It's about performing marriages in the church and who is allowed to preach the word and God apparently didn't have a problem with Mary Magaline being the first person to speak the gospel BTW.)

Given it's organizational structure?
It made the UMC perfect for such a hostile takeover.

Here is the organizational structure of the UMC btw:

Yeah...exactly.
Connectional.
Not

And with a 3000 person committee
(General Conference)
that decides
"the rules and establishes procedures
for virtually every aspect of the church's life."

Yeah, I know, exactly lol.
It wasn't ever supposed to be a church even. John Wesley had envisioned "a band of missionary preachers" so to speak. It might have a lil something to do with the UMC's organization structure (or lack there of if you wanna look at it that away) today.

Anyway, point is,
the UMC was a sitting duck
for what it is going through right now.

So I'm not just picking on the Baptist here.
I grew up Baptist, I go to bible study from time to time at a Baptist church, (It's freewheelin BTW no book but the bible used any time I've been, except for once I think. :-). I got a lot of friends who are Baptist as well etc.
Okay?

So that is the Baptist and Methodist Churches RN.

I'm not even going to get started on The Catholic Church and all it's sexual abuse troubles.
It speaks for itself.

But you put all of this together?

you end up with:

2 Peter 2: 1-3

False Teachers and Their Destruction

But there were also false prophets among the people, just as there will be false teachers among you.

They will secretly introduce destructive heresies, even denying the sovereign Lord who bought them

(

Skip one of the most important parts anybody?
And the only Old testament verse that calls Christ the messiah?)

bringing swift destruction on themselves. Many will follow their depraved conduct and will bring the way of truth into disrepute. In their greed these teachers will exploit you with fabricated stories. Their condemnation has long been hanging over them, and their destruction has not been sleeping."

2 Peter 2:14-15

"...they seduce the unstable; they are experts in greed. They have left the straight way and wandered off to follow the way of Balaam son of Bezer, who loved the wages of wickedness."

Jude 4

For certain individuals whose condemnation was written about long ago have secretly slipped in among you. They are ungodly people, who pervert the grace of our God into a license for immorality and deny Jesus Christ our only Sovereign and Lord.

Jude 11

Woe to them! They have taken the way of Cain; they have rushed for profit into Balaam’s error; they have been destroyed in Korah’s rebellion.

Jude 17:20

A Call to Persevere

But, dear friends, remember what the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ foretold.
They said to you,

In the last times there will be scoffers
who will follow their own ungodly desires.”

These are the people who divide you,

who follow
mere natural instincts

(Greed, Lust)

and do not have the Spirit.

But you, dear friends,
by building yourselves up in your most holy faith

(Going to church and hearing a 20 minute message once a week isn't exactly:
"building yourselves up in your most holy faith")

and praying in the Holy Spirit,
keep yourselves in God’s love
as you wait for the mercy
of our Lord Jesus Christ
to bring you to eternal life.

It was all supposed to happen just as it is unfurling right before your eyes.

We should take solace in that.
Knowing that our book is true.

And that
"vision and prophecy
WILL BE sealed up"

Even if others
dont want you to know it.

Kinda tells you right
where we are if you ask me.
