And I dont mean the object itself
(although it is getting weirder as well)
I mean the manner in which
it is being reported on,
prominent scientist
writing about it etc.

Starting about a month
before 3I/ATLAS
closest approach to Mars on Oct 3rd,
we had been hearing about getting images from
"the HiRISE camera
onboard the
Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter."
And continually reminded:
"The brightest pixel in the HiRISE image will provide the best constraint yet on the area of 3I/ATLAS."
from the Perseverance Rover Camera
Avi Loeb Medium 10/06/25
And as best I can tell
from this post on:
Avi Loeb Medium 09/02/25
(If not before,
it seems like it was
but The Medium site is down
for maintenance right now
go figure lol)
"On October 3, 2025, the interstellar object 3I/ATLAS will pass within a distance of 29 million kilometers from Mars. At that time, the HiRISE camera onboard the Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter will be able to image 3I/ATLAS with a resolution of 30 kilometers per pixel. The resulting closeup image might separate the contributions of the nucleus and surrounding dust cloud to the total luminosity of reflected sunlight stemming from 3I/ATLAS."
Point is,
in the lead up to 3I/ATLAS closest encounter with Mars
all we heard about was:
"the HiRISE camera onboard the Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter will be able to image it with a pixel resolution of 30 kilometers."
(We would be able to get the size of its coma basically)
And even after Oct 3rd
we were constantly told:
"The highest resolution image was taken by the HiRISE camera onboard the Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter. HiRISE has an angular resolution that translated to 30 kilometers per pixel on October 3, 2025. The brightest pixel in the HiRISE image will provide the best constraint yet on the area of 3I/ATLAS. We are all hoping that the HiRISE team will release their images as soon as possible."
Then?
For some reason
without explanation
that got switched to:
"We are still waiting for
the public release
of the images taken
by the HiRISE camera
onboard the Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter
on October 2, 2025."

And now?
For the first time
since about a month before
(Early September
Avi Loeb Medium 09/02/25)
3I/ATLAS had its closest encounter with Mars
(I can not verify that with Medium being down,
and now it says due to "global hosting outage"
but it seems about right.)
Anyway
Avi has been yapping about getting these pictures from this rover for about a month before 3I/ATLAS closest encounter with Mars, and as well as during the two and a half weeks since its closest approach to Mars on 10/3/25.
I write:
Thursday, October 16, 2025
Pointing out the disparity in the dates
"of the images taken"
from Oct 3rd to Oct 2nd
And now?
In this post about 3I/ATLAS
for the first time
since sometime
in early September:

There is absolutely
no mention at all about:
"the HiRISE camera
onboard the
Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter"
Or the images we should be getting,
be they from
Oct 2nd or Oct 3rd.
Instead?
We are now being pointed forward to:
"Gladly, we expect to get data on 3I/ATLAS shortly after perihelion. On November, 4, 2025, ESA’s Jupiter Icy Moons Explorer (Juice) will pass within 64 million kilometers from 3I/ATLAS. If 3I/ATLAS will maintain a trajectory shaped by gravity only, it will get closest to Earth on December 19, 2025 at a distance of 269 million kilometers.
(And notice he didn't point out
that data from JUICE
wont be available until Feb.)
"On March 16, 2026, 3I/ATLAS will pass within 54 million kilometers from Jupiter and be observable to sensors in the UV, infrared and radio bands, onboard the Juno spacecraft (as recommended scientifically here and politically here).
So why the switch?
I have been doing this
long enough to know
Things like this
are not accidents.
They don't just happen.
There is a reason
that they do.
Think about it:
Lead up to Oct 3rd all we heard:
"On October 3, 2025, it (3I/ATLAS) will pass within 29 million kilometers from Mars and the HiRISE camera onboard the Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter will be able to image it"
Just over and over and over.
Then?

Avi Loeb Medium 10/15/25
"We are still waiting for the public release
of the images taken
by the HiRISE camera

on October 2, 2025."
To now,
no mention of:
"the images taken
by the HiRISE camera
onboard the Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter
on October 2, 2025."
(Or the 3rd either)
and instead
we get:
"Gladly, we expect to get data
on 3I/ATLAS shortly after perihelion."
(Well we expected to have it
shortly after Oct 3rd as well
and that didn't happen.
WE are simply not
going to get pictures
from:
"the HiRISE camera
onboard the
Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter."
Somebody is paying extremely close attention
to the details, so that a lot of others don't have to.
Theses days its not what people tell you that matters
it's what they should be saying but don't
that tells you 100% what is going on.

"On October 21, 2025, the interstellar object 3I/ATLAS will be exactly on the opposite side of the Sun relative to Earth, constituting a so-called `solar-conjunction’. "
"When will 3I/ATLAS reach the optimal time for these Oberth maneuvers? Only 8 days after it reaches solar conjunction.
(According to Avi it entered our Solar System approx. 8000 years ago as well. 8 is a new beginning.)
"On October 29, 2025, 3I/ATLAS will reach a perihelion distance of 203 million kilometers. This opportune time happens to be during the same period when it is hidden from view to Earth-based telescopes. Was this a mere coincidence or a result of orbital design and basic astronautics?"

"We can find the answer to the above question by monitoring the sky during November and December 2025, and searching for any unusual activity of 3I/ATLAS or any new objects that came out of it. Over a period of months after perihelion, the tidal force from the Sun would separate the trajectories of objects that were thrusted out of 3I/ATLAS with velocity kicks."
"Given the minimum diameter of 5 kilometers for 3I/ATLAS (as derived here), the solar illumination at perihelion would deliver more than 33 gigawatts of power to its surface, namely at least a third of the total power generated by 94 operating commercial nuclear reactors in the U.S. — the largest producer of nuclear power in the world."

Only 8 days after
it reaches solar conjunction.)
"1. The trajectory of 3I/ATLAS is aligned to within 5 degrees with the ecliptic plane of the planets around the Sun (see here).
2. 3I/ATLAS showed a sunward jet (anti-tail) that is not an optical illusion from geometric perspective, unlike familiar comets (see here).
3. 3I/ATLAS is about a million times more massive than 1I/`Oumuamua and a thousand times more massive than 2I/Borisov, while moving faster than both (see here and here).
4. The arrival time of 3I/ATLAS allows it to pass within tens of millions of kilometers from Mars, Venus and Jupiter and be unobservable from Earth at perihelion (see here).
5. The gas plume around 3I/ATLAS contains much more nickel than iron (as found in industrially-produced nickel alloys) and a nickel to cyanide ratio that is orders of magnitude larger than all known comets, including 2I/Borisov (see here).
6. The gas plume of 3I/ATLAS contains only 4% water by mass, a primary constituent of familiar comets (see here).
7. 3I/ATLAS showed extreme negative polarization, unprecedented for all known comets, including 2I/Borisov (see here).
8. 3I/ATLAS arrived from a direction coincident with the radio “Wow! Signal” to within 9 degrees (see here)."
