“Today this scripture is fulfilled in your hearing.”
said after he finished reading from Isaiah in his hometown synagogue on the Sabbath.
It wasn't just any synagogue on any given day.
It was his, in his hometown, on the Sabbath.
It was a huge deal!
There is a reason it was that synagogue.
It was in front of family, friends, people that knew him growing up etc.
Anybody could go say that to a bunch of nobodies that don't know you in nowheresville that you may never see again.
This wasn't that.
This was in his hometown, for a reason.
Think he cared what people thought?
Think he was scared?
Or do you think he just knew
and did what he was commanded?
I know what I think.
