Revelation 13:4

(take a minute and think about politics in America circa 2022 and read that highlighted text again. Anybody in particular come to mind?)

Revelation 17:2
With whom the kings of the earth
have committed
fornication,
and the inhabitants of the earth
have been made drunk
with the wine of her fornication.
"...since for John "fornication" signifies idolatry
especially the imperial CULT."
The Greek word for fornication used in Rev 17:2 doesn't just mean unlawful sexual union. Adultery, incest, premarital sex etc, It also means idolatry as well, as in you are breaking the covenant between you and God (a metaphorical marriage as it were) by cheating on him and giving reverence and worship to someone or something that doesn't deserve it.
