own experience on September 23rd, watching children so neighbors could go to a wedding :-).
Anxiety creeping up like never before.
Getting late in the afternoon.
What am I going to do?
Can't go on like this it's way to much.
Go get the Bible out of the car and start reading, it melts the anxiety away.
Deal.
What to read?
Notes from Revelation bible study fall out.
Seems as good as any, let review them.
The first thing that stuck out was:
Amos 3:7
Surely the Lord God will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets
Just over and over and over this is repeating in my head.
Surely the Lord God will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets
Surely the Lord God will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets
Surely the Lord God will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets
Surely the Lord God will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets
I mean it just wouldn't stop.
I'm reading scripture and notes and everything but still, in my head:
Surely the Lord God will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets
Surely the Lord God will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets
Surely the Lord God will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets
Surely the Lord God will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets
Then?
A lil note.
So unexpanded upon and rarely even looked or considered all the other times I've reviewed these these notes.
All it said was:
September 23rd
7000 years.
Got some internet access.
(Thank you very much, she knows who she is)
The article from Answers in Genesis website is the first result.
Reread the article.
I had already posted parts of it earlier that day.
This is when the thought:
"Hey wait a minute, there had to be subtle variations all along, not just this time" came.
I mean it came in the blink of an eye, almost without thinking it, it came to me, if that makes any sense at all.
Friends leave for the reception.
Good.
Need to concentrate, shits getting serious.
Forget notes, get the book out and start reading.
These are the three passages that just kept repeating, so much so that I wrote them down to get them consistently in the correct order.
Revelation 2:26-27
To the one who is victorious and does my will to the end, I will give authority over the nations— that one ‘will rule them with an iron scepter and will dash them to pieces like pottery’—just as I have received authority from my Father.
Revelation 11:3-14
And I will give power unto my two witnesses
Revelation 12:1.2,5
A great sign appeared in heaven: a woman clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet and a crown of twelve stars on her head. She was pregnant and cried out in pain as she was about to give birth...She gave birth to a son, a male child, who “will rule all the nations with an iron scepter."And her child was snatched up to God and to his throne.
It was almost like somebody knew I would appreciate a good bourbon that day :-).
I must have done 100 laps around the island in my buddies kitchen.
"Oh shit."
"Oh shit"
"Oh shit."
Just over and over and over.
Good thing nobody was around, I'd probably already be committed :-).
Couldn't read any more at that point.
I couldn't hardly breathe.
Couldn't hardly do anything.
Just these four verses running through my head exactly like this, exactly in this manner:
Surely the Lord God will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets. To the one who is victorious and does my will to the end, I will give authority over the nations— that one ‘will rule them with an iron scepter and will dash them to pieces like pottery’—just as I have received authority from my Father. And I will give power unto my two witnesses.
I couldn't imagine a better place than New Chapel UMC for Christ New Church to be born Lucy.
Where is the only place I've ever heard the prosperity gospel preached against?
Brother Ron even mentioned last Sunday:
"People forget about all who have come here and received their calling, it gets overlooked."
