They didn't "cover up" that there were really "aliens".
The "Aliens"
were the cover up
for what they couldn't explain
just four days earlier, the Kenneth Arnold sightings.
Even if there were Aliens, they couldn't have got here anyway,
as any craft they would have constructed
would have had to overcome the expansion rate of the universe
