(after the coup attempt) had 20+ years of contacts with their counterparts in NATO.
That doesn't exist any more.

This wasn't hardly a blip on anybody's radar screen when it happened the other day.

He didn't purge the military
after the coup attempt to stay in NATO.
It was our coup.
It failed.
This will be the price we pay.
