Once again, Matthew 17:10-13

Matthew 17:10-13

10 The disciples asked him,

“Why then do the teachers of the law say

that Elijah

must come first?”

11 Jesus replied,

“To be sure, Elijah comes and will restore all things.

12 But I tell you, Elijah has already come,

and they did not recognize him,

but have done to him everything they wished.

In the same way the Son of Man is going to suffer at their hands.”

13 Then the disciples understood

that he was talking to them about John the Baptist.

SO JTB has already been killed.

"Elijah has already come"

and

“To be sure,

Elijah comes

and will restore all things."

Is JTB 2.0

in todays vernacular

Why must Elijah return before the end times (Malachi 4:5-6)

(got questions.org)

"On a related eschatological note, Malachi 4:5–6 could (better "is") also be pointing forward to the tribulation of the end times.

5 “See, I will send the prophet Elijah to you

before that great and dreadful day of the Lord comes.

The two witnesses mentioned in Revelation 11 who preach and perform miraculous signs are unnamed, but it’s possible that one of them could be Elijah.

(In the spirit of, just like JTB 1.0 was.)

If so, then Malachi’s prophecy has two fulfillments: one spiritual fulfillment in John the Baptist and one literal fulfillment in the end-times witness."

It's really not all that difficult.

Its just really not.

Mathew 17:10

(From BibleHub.com Commentary

"Spiritual Fulfillment

Jesus clarifies that John the Baptist fulfilled the role of Elijah in a spiritual sense. This teaches us that God's fulfillment of prophecy may not always align with human expectations."

(I got a huge problem with people thinking

that "God's fulfillment of prophecy" has to

"align with THEIR particular version

of human expectations."

AND?

I dont care who they are.

Nobody gets to tell God:

"This is how to do it"

which is exactly

what was just written above is.

HUGE PROBLEM WITH IT.

IT JUST DOESNT MATCH

WITH WHAT WE HAVE SEEN.

HE WILL MAKE IT WORK

BUT IT DOES NOT HAVE TO BE

HOW YOU THOUGHT IT SHOULD BE

or

HOW YOU WERE TAUGHT

IT WILL BE.)

"Expectations vs. Reality

The disciples' question highlights the tension between traditional expectations and the reality of Jesus' mission. Believers are encouraged to remain open to God's ways, which may differ from human assumptions.

(God just does not

have to do it how

you always thought he would

or how you have been taught

that he would.

He is God, he will does it his way.)

"The phrase hints at timing questions common in prophetic interpretation—God’s promises stand, but His sequence can surprise us (2 Peter 3:8-9)."

(Not just the sequence but also the people used,

and the locations and the manner it was achieved etc.

 "Two layers emerge:

(Because its two separate instances)

– A literal forerunner (John) who prepared hearts through repentance (Matthew 3:1-3).

– A future, end-times fulfillment still to come before Christ’s second advent, hinted at in Revelation 11:3-6 where one of the two witnesses ministers “in the spirit and power” reminiscent of Elijah.

(They are a team, it might as well be one mouth

and they have an anointing like Elijah or Moses.

The text of Revelation 11:3-6 in no manner implies

they are literally Moses and Elijah

come back for the end times.

(From above

"The two witnesses mentioned in Revelation 11 who preach and perform miraculous signs are unnamed,...")

6 These have power to shut heaven, that it rain not in the days of their prophecy: and have power over waters to turn them to blood, and to smite the earth with all plagues, as often as they will.

They are "given power to"

like Moses and Elijah

it never says exactly what they did

=

Similar anointing)

• The disciples’ question opens the door

for Jesus to affirm both

the reliability of prophecy

and its multi-stage fulfillment pattern

a vital key

for understanding eschatology

(Acts 3:18-21)."

Thank goodness

somebody else had said it!

"...prophecy

and its multi-stage

fulfillment pattern..."

This is something

a lot of people,

preachers and ecclesiastics

included

just do not get.

"Well that has already been fulfilled

back in/when...

blah blah blah...

etc. etc. etc"

Really?

Awesome.

So God cant do it again a second time?

A different way than he did it the first?

BIBLICAL DEMONOLOGY AND ESCHATOLOGY

(Study of end time events)

Chapter 12, part 3

THE DEMONOLOGY OF THE LAST DAYS

AND THE JEW

"Our neighbors bible:

Matthew 24:15

When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:)

VER. 15. The abomination of desolation. Cf. Dan. 9:27: 11:31; 12:11. In 1 Mach. 1:57 an application of the prophecy is found in the setting up by Antiochus Epiphanes of a statue of Jupiter Olympius in the temple of Jerusalem. The prophecy will be fulfilled a second time for Jerusalem but not necessarily in the same way. St. Luke sees "the abomination of desolation" in the army which surrounded and destroyed Jerusalem.

SO I WOULDNT BE  PUTTING

 HUMAN CONSTRAINTS

ON GOD.

The God I worship is all powerful

and can do what he pleases.

The earth is his footstool.

(Isaiah 66:1)

And all of this nonsense about:

"It's already all been done."

or

"Well this

(fill in your own blank)

just has to be blah blah blah

because that is we have all thought

because that is what we have been taught

for a couple hundred years now"

without any historical evidence

watsoever to back it up with

is gonna leave you 100% Spiritually Unprepared

for what is about to come on this earth.

(7000 US sailors, 2000 marines

and a third Aircraft Carrier

and an amphibious asult group

are currently headed to the middle east

and should be there by the end of the month.

And AI etc., but I digress...)

There is a reason

the 10 virgins parable

comes right after Matthew 24.

All 10 of them believed

but only half of them came

100% spiritually prepared

FOR THE DURATION.

The others he addressed

and said:

"I know you not."

Nahum 1:7

The Lord is good,

a strong hold in the day of trouble;

and he knoweth them

that trust in him.

It's not enough to "believe" in him.

It's not enough to know "of him"

YOU HAVE GOT TO TRUST HIM 100%

with everything.

He created everything

so its all his anyway

including your soul.

"This reference underscores that

tradition and Scripture can align or conflict;

Jesus repeatedly corrected the scribes

when tradition overshadowed truth

(Mark 7:8-13).

Just gotta point out:

"Just because an interpretation

becomes prominent and

has been around a long time?

Doesn't mean it is correct."

(Speaking of Genesis 6

and the "Sethian view."

which at one point in time

was just somebody's opinion

that took hold

and nothing more.

It is not a scriptural truth

(Obviously)

and the reason I hammer on it so much

 is because

the angel view of Genesis 6

explains the increase

in the evil confusion

we are seeing in our world today.)

• Yet here the scribes are at least pointing to the right text—Malachi 4:5: “Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet

before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the LORD”.

That?

is obviously not

JTB.

Which brings me to my point.

Finally lol.

So who is your end times prophet

who comes in the spirit of Elijah?

And what does he restore?

"...Elijah comes

and will restore all things..."

Cause I know who mine is

and I know a good chunk at least

of what he restores:

If?

Sons of God (Genesis 6:1-4) Part 3 of 3

"First, it should be established that the first solution was held UNANIMOUSLY until the second century A.D. Every Jewish text, from the apocryphal Book of Enoch to the writings of Josephus, including most of the rabbinical writers and all of the intertestamental Jewish literature, held that the account of Genesis 6 referred to fallen angels. So did the oldest church fathers—Justin, Tertullian, Cyprian, Ambrose, and Lactantius.

"However, in the second and third centuries, both Jewish interpreters and Christian interpreters began to understand “sons of God” as not necessarily referring to angels.

(Just everywhere else

that word is used in the Old Testament

but just not in Genesis 6?

And century's after the fact?

So I got issues before

you even get started with

any of that nonsense.)

"Jewish commentators began identifying “the sons of God” as rulers, while Christians such as Julius Africanus and Augustine suggested that they were men from the line of Seth while “the daughters of men” were women from the line of Cain. After Augustine promoted this belief in his famous City of God,

it became the prominent Christian interpretation of Genesis 6 through the Reformation and into the nineteenth century."

Just because an interpretation

becomes prominent and

has been around a long time?

Doesn't mean it is correct.

And what we are currently seeing

proves which interpretation

of Genesis 6 is correct.

Genesis 6 Prophetic Implications

“Another reason that an understanding of Genesis 6 is so essential is that it also is a prerequisite to understanding (and anticipating) Satan's devices and, in particular, the specific delusions to come upon the whole earth as a major feature of end-time prophecy.”

~

Chuck Missler"

"SO

watering down scripture

started in 200 or so AD."

"WHY?

Revelation 12 Commentary

(It's more personal than you might think)

"Revelation 12:4

"...and the dragon stood

 before the woman

(Wisdom)

which was ready to be delivered,

for to devour

her child

as soon as it was born."

(Both the first and the last church

that wisdom does bring forth.

Witness:

A roman military dictator

dictates policy via a church council

(Constantine, Council of Nicaea)

Theodosius I declares Christianity

the state religion of Rome.

(Just join the social club.

No work of regeneration

needed by the spirit etc.

Sound familiar?

It should.)

And the sethian view of Genesis 6

replaces the angel view

all before 400 AD.

So this verse refers to both churches

of the same,

the first and the last

as they were

and are and will be

under attack by Satan.)

Bringing ancient back...sweet..."

Somebody

"An advocate for a more

"Revisionist"

(as in,

"We need to reexamine some things

we have been thinking of

as settled long ago),

and

"Apostolistic"

(Teach the word and preach the gospel, and

live it such that others can see it in you.)

church.

"and will restore all things."

Make a lil more sense now?

So who is your:

"Elijah"

"before that great and dreadful day

of the Lord comes"

Malachi 4:5

And what is he restoring?

And how long

has he been advocating for it?

I mean there are just so many prophecy experts out there on Social Media and with their podcast and followers and all...

This is a part of end time prophecy

JTB 2.0 makes the paths straight again

(Matthew 3:1-3)

and I just do not hear

one single person

saying anything about it.

And remember:

"This teaches us that God's fulfillment of prophecy

may not always align with human expectations."

"Believers are encouraged

to remain open to God's ways,

which may differ from human assumptions."
