3) Chinese scientists war-game hypersonic strike on US carrier group in South China Sea

A paper detailing the war game was published in May by the Chinese- language Journal of Test and Measurement Technology. It is the first time the results of simulated hypersonic strikes against a US carrier group have been made public.

strikes US critical infrastructure

and that's why it "flew under the radar" so to speak.

And why is it exactly that Microsoft discovers this?

And the cybersecurity firm FireEye 

discovered the SolarWinds attack?

Sure am glad we spent all those kazillions of $'s on NSA surveillance.

Seems to be working out just great.)

"Microsoft has discovered stealthy and targeted malicious activity targeted at U.S. critical infrastructure organizations, largely focused on post-compromise credential access and network system discovery. Using ‘living-off-the-land’ techniques and hands-on-keyboard activity, the attack is carried out by Volt Typhoon, a state-sponsored hacker group based in China that typically focuses on espionage and information gathering. These attacks have targeted critical infrastructure sectors including communications, manufacturing, utility, transportation, maritime, and government.

(I wonder why they left out healthcare?

Its about all that is left out seems like.)

“Microsoft assesses with moderate confidence that this Volt Typhoon campaign is pursuing development of capabilities that could disrupt critical communications infrastructure between the United States and Asia region during future crises,” the Microsoft Threat Intelligence team, wrote in a Wednesday blog post. “Volt Typhoon has been active since mid-2021 and has targeted critical infrastructure organizations in Guam and elsewhere in the United States.” 

(Why are they doing it now?

Guam is 15 hours ahead 

of the North American Eastern Time Zone. 

Even under "perfect" conditions? 

There is a "lag" in communications.

So why not do something about what you can control? 

And quit letting the powers that be rule over you with their divide and conquer tactics?

The only way to beat the system? 

Is to not participate in it anymore. 

Just know what time it is and give all your concerns over to him.
