On the Uncertain Nature of 3I/ATLAS
Avi Loeb, Medium 8/9/25
"At a relative speed exceeding 60 kilometers per second,
(134,216.178 miles per hour)
any impact on the surface of the interstellar object 3I/ATLAS would release an amount of energy that is tens of times larger than a TNT explosive with the impactor’s mass. In particular, a collision of 3I/ATLAS with a 20-meter asteroid would release an energy equivalent of 20 megaton of TNT, of order a thousand Hiroshima atomic bombs. The resulting explosion would cause tremendous damage to an interstellar object, even if its diameter is a thousand times larger than that of this impactor, namely as large as 20 kilometers
(12 miles)
— the estimated diameter of 3I/ATLAS based on its brightness."
"If 3I/ATLAS is a rock, then it will shatter to pieces as a result of such a powerful collision in the Solar system. Nature does not mourn devastated rocks, as rock collisions are a common natural occurrence...But if 3I/ATLAS is a spacecraft, (insert: manufactured by your creator instead) then its makers might have been concerned about its long-term survival as it passes through asteroid belts of planetary systems like the Solar system."
(God controls the natural laws.
He created them.
They didnt invent themselves.
They came from somewhere.
They obey him.
Its so simple.)
"3I/ATLAS is currently passing through the main asteroid belt of the Solar System, a torus-shaped region at a distance of a few times the Earth-Sun separation. There are about a trillion rocks bigger than 20 meters inside this region, posing a potential threat to the integrity of 3I/ATLAS. To protect an interstellar spacecraft of that scale, its creators might have designed it to spray a stream of particles ahead of it, as precursors that would flag any dangerous rock along the path, allowing the craft to navigate away from obstacles."
(Thats pretty much what me and honey said at the kitchen table
when it was first pointed out 3I/ATLAS
had a area of glowing dust in front of it a lil while back
Think Gods own, built in "deflector shield".)
"Hence, large particles move ahead of the front of 3I/ATLAS and create a buffer zone leading it. If this zone measures roughly the diameter of Earth (12,756 kilometers), it would amount to a few arcseconds on the sky — which happens to be the characteristic angular scale of the glow in front of 3I/ATLAS at its current distance."
"A buffer zone of large particles would show up in images of 3I/ATLAS as a glow of reflected sunlight ahead of the interstellar object. The glow will not be accompanied by any gas particles, as they would be pushed back by the Solar wind and hence be useless for the purpose of flagging dangerous rocks ahead of 3I/ATLAS."
"This scenario is consistent with the current data on 3I/ATLAS. The Hubble Space Telescope image shows a glow that extends out to a few arcseconds ahead of the object (see related paper here), and spectroscopic measurements shows no evidence for molecular or atomic gas accompanying this glow (see related papers here, here and here as well as the discussion about water ice here).

"On the other hand, what would be the most plausible natural-origin explanation of the current data? The observed forward glow could be produced by a dust-rich interstellar asteroid which releases mostly large dust grains on its Sun-warmed dayside. In this scenario, the observed reddening in the spectrum of 3I/ATLAS (see related papers here, here and here) also implies the existence of small dust grains. But these smaller dust particles should have been pushed back by Solar radiation pressure to trail 3I/ATLAS, yet there is no evidence for a cometary tail of dust and gas behind 3I/ATLAS. Without small dust particles, the reddening must be explained by the red surface of a 20-kilometer object, in analogy with 1I/`Oumuamua. The challenge with this interpretation of the reddening of 3I/ATLAS is that the reservoir of rocky materials in interstellar space can only deliver a 20-kilometer dust-rich rock once per 10,000 years and we discovered 3I/ATLAS within the ATLAS survey in less than a decade. This challenge was discussed in my first published paper on 3I/ATLAS (accessible here).
(Been saying it all along.
It shouldn't be here.)
"For now, we cannot assess with any confidence whether 3I/ATLAS is a natural dust-rich comet with no gaseous tail on an extremely rare trajectory, or perhaps a technological (Insert supernatural instead) object on a path that was designed to align with the ecliptic plane of the planets around the Sun. Irrespective, the observed fact is that 3I/ATLAS is passing through the asteroid belt right now as a result of the rare (0.2% probability) alignment of its retrograde path with the ecliptic plane to within 5 degrees. On top of that, the arrival time of 3I/ATLAS along this path is perfectly timed for a close encounter with Mars, Venus and Jupiter (with a 0.0005% probability, as discussed here). This coincidence would allow a mothership (Asteroid) to release mini-probes (Fragment into smaller pieces) )that will reach planets as they move into the mini-probes, (Asteroid fragments) taking advantage of the mothership’s (Asteroids) retrograde motion. Unfortunately, 3I/ATLAS will hide behind the Sun at its perihelion on October 29, 2025, and so we will not be able to observe whether it releases any mini-probes (Fragments) into Earth’s orbit."
(To many coincidences is never a coincidence.
This thing will do exactly what God wants it to.)
Testing the Nature of 3I/ATLAS
by Its Non-Gravitational Acceleration
Avi Loeb Medium 8/10/25
"A simple way to distinguish a spacecraft from a rock is through its large non-gravitational acceleration. A natural icy rock like a comet is propelled by its mass loss. That mass loss can be observed through the cometary plume of gas and dust that surrounds the comet’s nucleus. By measuring the rate of mass loss and the characteristic ejection speed of gas and dust, one can calculate the rate of momentum change per unit time, or the non-gravitational force exerted on the nucleus. Since the evaporation occurs on the dayside of the rock which is warmed up by the virtue of it facing the Sun, this force pushes the comet’s nucleus away from the Sun. At a large enough distance, typically a few times the Earth-Sun separation, the surface of the nucleus is not warmed enough by sunlight to release volatile ices and dust and the cometary activity diminishes."
"A technological (Supernatural) object, on the other hand, could operate (Without) an engine and maneuver independently of the Sun. It can be propelled towards the Sun or any planet of interest and exhibit a non-gravitational acceleration of arbitrary magnitude or direction. Observing non-gravitational maneuvers could shift the ranking of an interstellar object on the “Loeb scale”, from `0’ — the default value for a natural comet to `10’ — a definitely artificial (supernatural) object."
"Given this perspective, it is of great interest to measure the acceleration of the new interstellar object 3I/ATLAS along its path through the Solar System and check whether it shows any deviation from the expected trajectory, as dictated by gravity alone.
(100% agreed)
"If 3I/ATLAS will not continue along its expected path after its closest approach to the Sun on October 29, 2025, then the stock market might crash from worries about an alien tech visitation. (Asteroid fragments bombarding the earth)."
"The recent imaging of 3I/ATLAS by the Hubble Space Telescope shows a glow ahead of the object but no bright tail of gas and dust behind it — as often observed for comets (see related paper here). In addition, spectroscopic measurements show no evidence for molecular or atomic gas accompanying this glow (see related papers here, here and here, as well as the discussion about water ice here). A natural interpretation of these anomalies is that 3I/ATLAS is a dust-rich comet that releases little gas, but mostly large dust particles which are not pushed back by Solar radiation pressure or the Solar wind because of their small surface-to-mass ratio. In this case, we can calculate the expected non-gravitational acceleration of this comet from the observed plume of dust leading it."
"A detailed analysis of the observed glow ahead of 3I/ATLAS (see related paper here) suggests a mass loss rate of up to 60 kilograms per second for dust particles of 100 micron size (where a micron is a millionth of a meter) and an ejection speed of ~2 meters per second in the direction of the Sun. The estimated mass loss rate drops to 6 kilograms per second and an ejection speed of 20 meters per second for 1-micron particles. Since the non-gravitational force exerted on 3I/ATLAS equals the mass loss rate times the ejection speed, its value is the same in both cases and does not depend on the assumed size of the ejected dust particles."
"The brightness distribution in the glow preceding 3I/ATLAS was also used to set limits on the diameter of its nucleus, inferred to be in the range of 0.32–5.6 kilometers. This implies that the nucleus mass is in the range of 30 billion to 200 trillion kilograms. Applying the resulting non-gravitational force to this mass leads to a non-gravitational acceleration in the range of 3x10^{-14} to 2x10^{-10} AU per day squared, where AU stands for Astronomical Unit which is defined as the Earth-Sun separation. This non-gravitational acceleration range is equivalent to values between 6x10^{-11} and 4x10^{-7} centimeters per second squared, in the direction away from the Sun."
"For comparison, the first interstellar object 1I/`Oumuamua exhibited on October 25, 2017 a non-gravitational acceleration of 1.4x10^{-7} AU per day squared, equivalent to 2.7x10^{-4} centimeters per second squared (see related data here). This is larger than the expected non-gravitational acceleration of 3I/ATLAS by a huge factor, ranging between a thousand and 10 million. If 1I/`Oumuamua was a familiar comet, it had to lose about a tenth of its mass during its passage close to the Sun. But despite its large non-gravitational acceleration, 1I/`Oumuamua did not display any cometary evaporation (see observational data here), making its large non-gravitational acceleration a major anomaly concerning its nature (as argued in my related paper here).
"If 3I/ATLAS is a natural comet,
its outgassing may intensify as it gets closer to the Sun."
(We should have already been seeing
more than we are by now.)
"A measurement of the expected non-gravitational acceleration from its cometary activity would confirm its natural origin. A paper that I wrote with my student, Sriram Elango, before the discovery of 3I/ATLAS, showed that localization data from the Webb telescope in combination with terrestrial telescopes can pinpoint the trajectory of an interstellar object to unprecedented precision using parallax, since the Webb telescope is located 1.5 million kilometers away from Earth at the L2 Lagrange point. A major deviation of the measured non-gravitational acceleration from the expected range for a comet, would suggest that 3I/ATLAS might be propelled technologically. (Supernaturally)"
"For now, we cannot assess with any confidence whether 3I/ATLAS is a natural dust-rich comet with no gaseous tail on an extremely rare trajectory, or perhaps a technological (Supernatural) object on a path that was designed to align with the ecliptic plane of the planets around the Sun. All we know is that 3I/ATLAS exhibits a rare (0.2% probability) alignment of its retrograde path with the ecliptic plane to within 5 degrees, and its arrival time along this path is perfectly suited for a close encounter with Mars, Venus and Jupiter (with a 0.0005% probability, as discussed here). These coincidences
(To many means they aint)
would allow a mothership (Asteriod) to release mini-probes (fragment into pieces) that reach planets as they move into the mini-probes’ (Fragments) orbits, taking advantage of the mothership’s (Asteroids) retrograde motion. Since 3I/ATLAS will hide behind the Sun at its perihelion on October 29, 2025, we will not be able to observe whether it releases any mini-probes (fragments) into Earth’s orbit.'
(See:Oberth_effect)
"Exquisite measurements of the non-gravitational acceleration of 3I/ATLAS would provide an important clue about its nature. The verdict will not be decided by debates on social media, but rather by accurate measurements of instruments."
(Avi?
Brother?
That violates a central tenant
of the extremists, elitist's cult of scientism:
"Things will be what we say they are
regardless of the evidence presents.")
"Whether 3I/ATLAS is natural or technological (Supernatural) in origin has nothing to do with popular opinions on Earth."
(And if you are laughing
at all the times I invoked "Supernatural"?
Then please come explain UAP
Because this right here:
Did all of this:
It simply defys the laws of physics.
And when you are done with that?
Come at me with,
the information in the DNA molecule
and the mechanism
by which it managed to get there,
as all of that
is outside of the laws of physics as well.
I'm just curious how all these "mini-probes" are going to get released from the "mothership", I mean i remember reading 3I/ATLAS has a greater than 67% chance of being more than 7.6 billion years old.
Thats sure is a hearty bunch of
geriatric extra terrestrials
Ill tell ya that much.
Exposed to the weightlessness of space?
And solar radiation?
For ... shoot, lets just half it
and make it
4 billion years even.
Have you ever even seen
what a few months in weightlessness
does to somebody?
But I gotcha,
it don't work that way
with 4 billion year old
extraterrestrials,
makes perfect sense,
NOT!
So what?
They gonna use remote control
to release mini-probes?
PEOPLE?
Get a clue.
Did I mention
there's a resurgent Ottoman Empire
that the False Prophet is helping out.
Time to rethink some things.
Quick like in a hurry yo.
