Ukraine Has Exhausted Soviet Arsenals:
Dependance on Western Supplies Increasingly Extreme
08/18/25
"The Ukrainian Armed Forces have reached a critical turning point in the depletion of their equipment, as supplies inherited from the Soviet Union have been almost entirely exhausted. Ukraine was previously by far the most heavily armed country in Europe, "inheriting thousands of main battle tanks, many of them cutting edge T-80s, as well as strategic bombers and vast arsenals of air defence systems, combat jets, and artillery among other assets. These arsenals were gradually depleted over the following three decades, with the large majority of tanks and aircraft scrapped, while many more were exported, whether Su-27 fighters sold to the United States, T-64 tanks sold to Congo, T-72 tanks sold to South Sudan, or the country’s most capable tank class the T-80UD which saw almost all units sold to Pakistan. Despite the divestment of these assets, by the time of the outbreak of full scale hostilities with Russia in February 2022 Ukraine’s ground forces were still the most heavily armed on the continent, with Soviet-built equipment making up the vast majority of their stockpiles.
(Maybe thats why you have attritional warfare from the very start?)
"Commenting on the extent of the depletion of Ukraine’s arsenals, a recent report of the U.S. Department of Defence's ongoing mission to bolster the security of NATO allies and provide support to Ukraine observed: "As of this quarter, Ukraine had nearly exhausted its supplies of Soviet and Russian artillery and rocket ammunition, making the UAF [Ukrainian armed forces] almost entirely reliant on Western assistance.” The report detailed persistent challenges in other critical areas facing the Ukrainian armed forces, as they have suffered increasingly unsustainable personnel and equipment losses, while Russian forces have made steady advances for several months.
(Sure am glad we spent all those billions
helping em out, aint you?
This has been an unmitigated disaster for us
since day one.
Forget the homeless and the hungry and the uninsured and the sick here, we gotta go spend billions helping a bunch of corrupt wheat farmers half way around the world.
What entity could possibly be behind such a scheme?
Think about it for a second and youll figure it out.
There were never any good options for US here.
Never. Any. None.
Somebody knew that (Putin) and they have exploited it
to perfection.
If you think we ever cared about Eastern Europe?
Democracy and freedom blah blah blah,
you already know the sales pitch.
If you think NATO expanding into eastern Europe was about anything other than a captive market for defense contractors?
Get a clue.)
"The depletion of Ukraine’s arsenals of air defence systems in particular has been highlighted in both Western and Ukrainain reports in the past, and as early as November 2022 the Ukrainian Air Force warned that its ability continue to operate them effectively was under serious threat as Soviet era S-300 and BuK systems could not be replenished. Leaks of secret documents from the U.S. Department of Defence in April 2023 showed that there were rising concerns within the Pentagon regarding the state of the Ukrainian Air Force’s surface-to-air missile network due to increasingly severe shortages."
'Ukraine has benefited from tremendous supplies of Western Bloc armaments, including both Soviet equipment previously operated by Eastern European Warsaw Pact states, as well as Western-built equipment. Supplies of Soviet equipment from Warsaw Pact states have increasingly been depleted, however, meaning Western designed equipment will form a growing portion of Ukraine’s arsenal should hostilities continue.
(WE CANT AFFORD IT
And Putin knew it would come to this.
Its the whole reason the thing was drug out
for as long as possible from the start.
Said so from about day 8 I think it was.
Nobody believed me.
Well?
Now look.)
"This is expected to result in a severe contraction in the quantities of equipment available, as Western equipment is not only available on a limited scale, but is also wholly unaffordable to replenish Ukraine’s losses of Soviet equipment one-for-one. MIM-104 Patriot long range air defence systems, for example, which have been relied on to replace lost S-300 systems, cost around $2.5 billion each, while the Western world has been unable to replenish the severe losses of both systems that Ukraine has suffered.
(Russians:
"Keep sending em
we will keep destroying them"
Makes the entire continent less safe.
Dear 'Merika:
Other countries arent
as dumb
as you think they are.
Ezekiel 16:49-50
“‘Now this was the sin of your sister Sodom:
She and her daughters were arrogant,
overfed and unconcerned;
they did not help the poor and needy."
If there is a verse
that accurately describes
"'Merika"
in the 21st century?
That would be it.
50 They were haughty
and did detestable things before me.
(Like what?
Throwing homeless people
in concentration camps?
While sending BILLIONS
in military aid
half way around the world
to people just as corrupt
as their enemies?)
Therefore I did away with them
as you have seen.
(Its what we deserve
and its what were gonna get.
Count on it.
To not speak out against the evil you see?
Is to make yourself an accomplice to it.)
"Replacing the Ukrainian Army’s lost Soviet tanks,
87 percent of M1A1 Abrams tanks
supplied by the United States
were lost within 16 months
of their participation in hostilities,
with further supplies from the United States
not expected to be forthcoming.
(Whats the point?
They would just meet the same fate.
They are vulnerable to drone attack
from directly on top.
The rear armor isn't as thick as the sides
(same issue as on top)
and the tracks are vulnerable as well.
So thats 76 Abrams tanks we gave them
X
87% lost = 66.
Well of course its 66 lost.
At this point why wouldn't it be
66 lost?
66 lost at 20 million a pop.
(that figure comes from
a recent sale of Abrams to Poland BTW.
Different versions cost different amounts,
Im going with 20 million.)
1320 million lost.
In their first 16 months in the conflict.
Thats 1.32 billion BTW.
Thats 110 million down the drain
a month!
With absolutely
ZERO RETURN
on the investment.
See why Russia
just keeps dragging things on now?
Or are you still gonna believe
the US government propaganda?
Somebody said that this was their plan
day 8 into this conflict.
(I get tired of spending all my time looking up links.
I know what I said.
I know roughly when it was.
Good enough.
Excuse me
it was day four of hostilities.
(I went ahead and looked it up.)

it's slow going?
It's because they (Russians)
want it to be."
"Both Kharkiv and Kyiv, the capital,
remained in Ukrainian hands
as Russia faced more resistance
than it was expecting, according to the Pentagon."
I do not buy it. Not one bit."
Why did I think that?
Because I know
how the Russians fight wars,
and that there are other ways
to topple a country that are ready
to be tipped over
than just defeating it
on the battle field.
"If
it's slow going?
It's because they
(Russians)
want it to be."
How many paid talking heads
on Fox news or CNN
or any kinda podcast
OR ANYWHERE EVER
ever told you that?
DAY 4.
Now you see
why Putin kept insisting it wasnt a
"invasion"
but a
"special military operation"?
This is why I don't watch
TV or podcast etc,
and haven't for a long time now.
WHY SHOULD I?
It aint nothin but static
on my channel.)
"These examples highlight the broader issues that Ukraine will face sustaining its forces once the Soviet arsenals it an its Warsaw Pact neighbours inherited are depleted."
They cant.
Russia could have taken Kiev in a week
if they wanted to.
It simply wasnt their plan.
Breaking our backs financially
and drawing down
US and NATO weapons stocks?
THAT
was the plan.
And they have executed it.
"1.8 million casualties" etc.
What a joke.
What a bunch of US government manufactured
propaganda, just to keep the arms going.
Cause the more we sent them?
The more we need to replace them here at home.
Problem is
now the world war is coming
up right over the horizon
and we aint got shit to fight it with.
Opps.
RIP Ozzy.
