Ohio River Flood 25

Lets just say...

Theres usually not a lake

in our neighbors field

in front of her house lol.

Said field...
two days after the water was receding
and we could finally get out.

Two creeks meet around the corner to the right
of all the standing water.

One of the culprits lol.

Again, not very far from our home,
two days after the water had been receding.

Well...
High water to the left...

High water back the way we came

high water straight ahead
and

Coming from the other way
where there is a bridge
where the two creeks
close to us meet up.

Old boy took his four wheeler
to his kayak
to get across the creek
in his driveway lol.

He wasn't the only one
we saw that had done this.

Lots of others suffered
a lot worse than we did.

Prayers for a speedy recovery.

p.s.

It was crazy, we could tell when they were opening or closing the gates on the damn as the water in the neighbors field would go down and then rise again accordingly.

They estimated close to 750,000 gallons of water a second
going through the damn on the Ohio at one point.

Never been surrounded by water
and unable to get out before.

Not that we go anywhere anyway
(kinda allergic to Babylon at this point)
but we couldn't even make it
to the store a few miles from our home
as the creeks all around us had flooded.

Godspeed everybody.
