Stairs

at Kindred again.
June 26th, 2012.
I corrected the other post.
:-).

I must have been looking at you like:
"I've been waiting for you my whole life."
I just remember the way you looked.
The smile.
The glow.
The enthusiasm.
You looked like the happiest girl in the world.
I've spent seven years of my life waiting to recapture that moment.
I always knew we would.
Regardless of what anybody else might say.

I remember standing there.
Knees about to shake.
Hands and arm pit on the brink of sweat.
Just standing there thinking:
"She don't know any of that
be cool
be cool
be cool."

I remember the start of conversation too.
We started walking and I was limping.
"What's wrong with your leg?
"I had an accident."
"What kind?"
"I'd rather not say, I'll tell you later."

I had sent you a personal email.
It had the link to the blog in the tagline.
I remember thinking, cool.
She checked it out.
She couldn't help but look.
She knows what kinda accident.
:-).

Love ya Lucy.

Is that the key to your heart or something?
:-).

"Some things you just can’t forget. Even if you try."

It haunts me to this day.
It always will.
I have no doubt.
