I said

it as soon as it started.

"Mr Buffett told the meeting, which was held virtually:
"We made that decision in terms of the airline business.
We took money out of the business basically even at a substantial loss.
(4-6 billion I think it was)
"We will not fund a company that...
where we think that it is going to chew up money in the future."

The $25 billion the airline industry got in bailout funds?
Like the guy said talking about another issue.
"It's like lighting a pile of cash on fire to stay warm for five minutes"

Pointless, in other words.

The CEO of Airbus
(Think European Boeing)
said it may be five years before air travel returns to pre-covid levels.
Thats a rosy outlook assuming no other calamity could be coming down the pike if you ask me.

Heres the thing.
Everybody knows the bailout money went to the big corporations.
Not the little guys.
This is what makes that so bad.
It's the mid sized parts suppliers
for the automotive,and airline industries,
and the same sized companies
that make up the oil services spector
that are going to go under,
causing all three of these industries to collapse.
Count on it sooner rather than later.

I sure am glad we gave the airlines industry $25 billion in bailouts
so we could let food banks use their runways for staging grounds for food giveaways.

Maybe the $25 billion should have went to buy food for people?
I mean people don't even have food.
How the fuck they gonna fly anytime soon?

Judgment Against the Nations, Isaiah 34

I know.
I'm just full of good news.

But Drew?
What should we do?
All this calamity coming?

Joel 2:32

And everyone who calls
    on the name of the Lord will be saved;
(Gotta mean it though)

and

1 Thessalonians 5:16-18

Rejoice always,
pray without ceasing,
give thanks in all circumstances;
for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.
