Journey to the Acts series #79, Hearing Gods Voice pt2.

Acts 16:6-10

Paul’s Vision of the Man of Macedonia

Paul and his companions traveled throughout the region of Phrygia and Galatia, having been kept by the Holy Spirit from preaching the word in the province of Asia. When they came to the border of Mysia, they tried to enter Bithynia, but the Spirit of Jesus would not allow them to. So they passed by Mysia and went down to Troas. During the night Paul had a vision of a man of Macedonia standing and begging him, “Come over to Macedonia and help us.” After Paul had seen the vision, we got ready at once to leave for Macedonia, concluding that God had called us to preach the gospel to them.

We = Paul and Luke :-).

Ezekiel 36:27

And I will put my Spirit in you and move you to follow my decrees and be careful to keep my laws.

John 14:26

But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you.

Could probably ramble on for 20 minutes about the choice of the word "Advocate", Advocates fight for you BTW.

John 13:2

The evening meal was in progress, and the devil had already prompted Judas, the son of Simon Iscariot, to betray Jesus.

Beware, we need to be discerning, the voice you hear may be a deception.

Exodus 14:14

The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still.

Try that in today's world, good luck.

Wanna train yourself to hear God's voice?

1) Spend time with God.

2) Have a clean and pure heart.

Matthew 5:8

Blessed are the pure in heart,
    for they will see God.

3) Read Scripture.

And the most important is #3.

I love you baby.
Youre the greatest.
