FYI, A three part series on AI, Pt1

Why Silicon Valley is fertile ground for obscure religious beliefs

"It wasn’t science that convinced Google engineer Blake Lemoine that one of the company’s AIs is sentient. Lemoine, who is also an ordained Christian mystic priest, says it was the AI’s comments about religion, as well as his “personal, spiritual beliefs,” that helped persuade him the technology had thoughts, feelings, and a soul.

“I’m a priest. When LaMDA claimed to have a soul and then was able to eloquently explain what it meant by that, I was inclined to give it the benefit of the doubt,” Lemoine said in a recent tweet. “Who am I to tell God where he can and can’t put souls?”

("Lemoine, who is also an ordained Christian mystic priest"

Once again, says who? From where? Who witnessed? Who participated? etc.

“Who am I to tell God where he can and can’t put souls?”

Well? If he was an authentic Christian mystic priest?, he would know God only created man in his likeness, nothing else, Being sentient is one thing, having a soul is quite another. Genesis 1:27. )

"Lemoine is probably wrong — at least from a scientific perspective."

(Probably being the key word in that sentence)

"It’s worth pointing out that Lemoine is hardly the first Silicon Valley figure to make claims about artificial intelligence that, at least on the surface, sound religious. Ray Kurzweil, a prominent computer scientist and futurist, has long promoted the “Singularity,” which is the notion that AI will eventually outsmart humanity, and that humans could ultimately merge with the tech. Anthony Levandowski, who cofounded Google’s self-driving car startup, Waymo, started the Way of the Future, a church devoted entirely to artificial intelligence in 2015 (the church was dissolved in 2020)."

(:...the notion that AI will eventually outsmart humanity...)

(I told my son basically the same thing, like over a year ago when information of this type was about to fry my brain I couldn't take it so, it's around the time my buddy said, "you look like your head is going to explode" etc. Point is, I said this to my son well before I ever read or heard of it somewhere, that these machines, AI's, Human looking algorithms etc.,  would all coalesce together around one leader and absolutely demand to be worshiped. If you were smarter than all of humanity that ever existed in its entirety? You wouldn't demand to be worshiped by what you thought were inferior beings? Think about it for a second. It's not gonna have a choice but to demand to be worshipped, the book says he projects his image on the temple and does so. Daniel 9:27. Think about the 9 and the 27 in what that verse says. for a minute. 9 would be a three fold trinity, and 27 would be a three fold trinity times three. "The number 9 symbolizes divine completeness or conveys the meaning of finality. Christ died at hour nine of the day, or 3 p.m., to make the way of salvation open to everyone...The Day of Atonement considered by many Jews to be the holiest of the year, begins at sunset on day 9 of the seventh Hebrew month...The number 9 also represents the fruits of God's Holy Spirit, which are Faithfulness, Gentleness, Goodness, Joy, Kindness, Long suffering, Love, Peace and Self-control (Galatians 5:22 - 23). Think its an accident that the antichrist sets up his image on the temple is in verse 9:27? I don't. It's a mystical book outside of our time space continuum. Chapters and verses were added to the bible until about 500 years ago (It's one reason I rake out verse #'s a lot of times). I guarantee you who ever decided that that was daniel Chapter 9, verse 27, had no idea of the significance of what they were marking up whatsoever. It's just kinda how it works, okay onward :-).

"I recently spoke to Midson (scott) about these concerns. We not only run the risk of glamorizing AI, and losing sight of its very real flaws, he told me, but also of enabling Silicon Valley’s effort to hype up a technology that’s still far less sophisticated than it appears.

(Baloney, it's far more advanced than it appears and it's already "been released" on us so to speak. Thats why AI is a technology that is being downplayed in terms of it's current capabilities)

"There’s a lot of caution about what these machines do and don’t do. It’s all about how they convince you that they understand and those kinds of things. Noel Sharkey is a prominent theorist in this field. He really does not like these robots that convince you that they can do more than they actually can do. He calls them “show bots.” One of the main examples that he uses of the show bots is Sophia, the robot which has been given honorary citizenship status in Saudi Arabia.

"For Sharkey, all of this is just an illusion. This is just smoke and mirrors. Sophia doesn’t actually warrant personhood status by any stretch of the imagination. It doesn’t understand what it’s saying. It doesn’t have hopes, dreams, feelings, or anything that would make it as human as it might appear. The fact is, duping people is problematic. It has a lot of swing-and-miss phrases. It sometimes malfunctions, or says questionable, eyebrow-raising things. But even where it is at its most transparent, we are still going along with some level of illusion.'

(Matthew 24:4

Jesus answered: “Watch out that no one deceives you.)

"Scott Midson

"How these robots — whether sentient or notare made very much in our image is another huge set of ethical issues.

The question of sentience? I can see it as a bit of a red herring, but actually, it’s also tied into how we make machines in our image and what we do with that image."

(We are made in Gods image, we don't get to play God and create things in ours. Nope, that is usurping God's authority and he is not going to allow it to stand. Period.

Besides:

Revelation 13:14-17

"Because of the signs it was given power to perform on behalf of the first beast, it deceived the inhabitants of the earth. It ordered them to set up an image in honor of the beast who was wounded by the sword and yet lived. The second beast was given power to give breath to the image of the first beast, so that the image could speak and cause all who refused to worship the image to be killed. It also forced all people, great and small, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on their right hands or on their foreheads, so that they could not buy or sell unless they had the mark, which is the name of the beast or the number of its name.

(How many more times you really gotta say image?)

"Rebecca Heilweil

Timnit Gebru and Margaret Mitchell, two prominent AI ethics researchers, raised this concern before they were both fired by Google: by thinking about the sentience discussion and the AI as a freestanding thing, we might miss the fact that the AI is created by humans.

"Scott Midson

We almost see the machine in a certain way, as detached, or even kind of God-like, in some ways. Going back to that black box: There’s this thing that we don’t understand, it’s kind of religious-like, it’s amazing, it’s got incredible potential. If we watch all these adverts about these technologies, it’s going to save us. But if we see it in that kind of detached way, if we see it as kind of God-like, what does that encourage for us?

("It's going to save us"

A machine? Thats exactly what it wants you to believe.

I've already said who this is (The Antichrist), when it will show up (right about now) and how it will coalesce all together. Like I said, I told my son well over a year ago and others as well, have written about it on here etc. (Hive mind)

There's only one thing that's going to save you ever. That is your belief in the blood of Jesus Christ risen Lord and savior, one and only living human son of the most high sent to die in atonment for your sins. Period, nothing else is ever going to save you. Trump isnt going to save you, $ isn't going to save you, wealth, fame and prestige isn't going to save you, only the blood of Christ and believing God rose him from the dead is going to save you.

Believe in your heart and say with your mouth and you will be saved.

Romans 10:9)

Godspeed everybody.

I love you honey :-).
